Illidan Stormrage vs. Yoda

So, it turns out I'm not infallible. Sometimes I make mismatch threads -- this usually leaves me feeling angry and alone, despairing over my failures to dream up a blockbusting battle. Some of the characters I've failed to use are Illidan Stormrage (who always turns out less tough than I think he is), and Yoda (who always turns out more tough than I think he is, courtesy of the EU). So, I will now attempt to create success from two failures.

vs.

----------------------------------

Battle takes place in the Kazan arena. No BFR, but the battlefield is littered with blunt objects, large and small, to use as cover or weapons.

- In character, both are willing to kill the other

- Basic knowledge of each other

- One hour of preparation

- Illidan gets his glaives, Yoda gets his lightsaber.

- EU feats are available

- Illidan has already used the skull and absorbed its power

I know very little about WOW, so before I say Yoda stomps or wins or whatever, feats someone?

Illidan is virtually featless in the form of one on one. Arthas beat him before he became Litch King and most of WC2/3 I think he was at the beckon or aid of Hell Lords

@daak1212: If that's true, OP just made another mismatch. So, safe to say Yoda owns him like a Texan wife?

More than that, it's been years really since I played WOW hardcore but from what i remember Illidan is a joke and the only reason he is considered a badass is because of his cool catch phrase in the begining of BC intro

He has....feats I think maybe im not sure. I only know the main story of Warcraft not the side things but he seems rather lack luster their too. I know he could have some powerful magic from the skull of some Orc Warlock I forgot his name.

Either way Yoda's medium feats destroy Illidan

@daak1212: Well, EU feats allowed, Yoda would murder some random guy with "powerful magic", which is too vague. If anybody else has feats, they would be appreciated.

Illidan was BARELY beaten by Arthas, who then went over to damn near take over the world. Just in WoW, he's the level 70 end boss so it takes like 40 high-level characters to defeat him. You also have to consider feats of people he's better than, like Kael'thas. As soon as he was released from his prison he took over most of Outland -- and he's an extremely powerful sorcerer in the world he's in, which is pretty solid. Admittedly, a lot of his stuff in on-paper, but it's impressive nonetheless.

It's weird to show feats for someone when the power level of their world is a bit nebulous.

"Level 70" and a bunch of 40 "high-levels" are game mechanics and are not feats.

Arthas has done okay, from what I know of him.

Still, can he move so fast people with precognition and enhanced speed/reflexes and other attributes can't even see him?

Really thats it. He is one of the strongest Night Elf sorcerrors and he created the second Well of Eternity (a pool of great magic). ALot of that crap is inconsiqential as the big guns of that Universe or atleast enemy wise that where used in WOW or WC are Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde. Archimonde's best feat was destroying a city through magic and losing at the battle of the World Tree. Then again they did destroy the actual tree so that's kinda moot.

I think Im low balling them here as Im not starting to remember some actual real big guns such as Deathwing (i think died in WOW), Elune, Sargeras, and the leader of the Golden Dragon Aspect which is time.

@ShootingNova: Haven't seen any speed from him, but durability I have... took a full-on hit from Frostmourne which just managed to give him a little purple cut, didn't even kill him. I think he could take the lightsaber hits, and his magic would be hard for a little guy like Yoda to deal with.

And yeah, I know high-level is too nebulous, hence the edit in my post. Makes it hard.

Not really at all, Arthas killed him in a good battle but nothing severly threatening. You also forget this is Arthas not Litch King. Also he didnt take over the world only Icelands/Crown??? And he was stopped by a bunch of level 80's

level 70 end boss oooo wow. He can be stoped at 80 fairly easily and I think it was a 25 man raid not 40 (the last one of those I remember was AQ or was it the World Tree raid?) Im not sure where your going with Kael Thas so w/e and Illidan was also amped by Saergeras and the Skull of Guldan and he also cooperated with the Pit-Lords their.....wait wasnt the previous ruler killed by Grom?

Well, if he can survive a lightsaber that slices half a dozen times in less than a second you can say that. What has his magic done?

He lost that fight as well and was ont he ground bleeding to death

Arthas was the Lich King when he beat Illidan if my memory serves me correct. Illidan also conquered Outland, has slain powerful demons, and is quite the adept sorcerer. That being said, Yoda's spinny Tarzan bushido takes this.

That was Arthas not the LK who is when you have the helmet

Oh well, you can't blame the OP. To you, OP, @Joygirl: make a thread with lesser level SW characters, not someone like Yoda/Palpatine/Luke. Put maybe Qui-Gon or something.

I know most of the characters in SW and their power levels, but I sometimes have trouble judging them compared to others.

What thread, we already talked about how it's a mismatch in Yoda's favor. Where now just in before the lock.

Illidan is medium fare. If Joy wanted a good match idk put Yoda against Elune, Sergares, Cenerius, or an Old God? Even then it wound be a battle but more of a telepathic slug fest

Wait in retrospect Sargeras would decimate Yoda in hand to hand. That's pretty much their Galactus.

We should just do this in PM. I never said drain, Wormholes definitely smash Magneto into an uncountable number of pieces.

Oh yeah he wasn, guy was still very strong but in the grand scheme of things. Those two arent very strong in the pantheon of Wow an Starwars.
