If the entire world knew an extra terrestrial threat was coming to eradicate all life and we had a month to prepare, could we stop him or would he end all human life and how long do you think it would take him. He’s bloodlusted and we have no knowledge of his species therefore we know nothing of Kryptonite. All the worlds armies have banded together. What’s the outcome?
If in the real world, DCEU Superman wanted to eradicate humanity, could we stop him?
I'm pretty sure a multi megaton nuke would finish him off, the issue is his speed. I doubt we could get him before he wipes out the world's military establishments.
Yes. One small nuke knocked him tfo in BVS. We have many more.
And he'd just stand there?
We aren't stopping him. Doesn't matter if we send every nuke in the world at him at once he's too fast to get hit. He only even got hit by it in BVS because he wanted to. That's not gonna happen this time.
Nope, we're doomed. The only thing that could possibly harm him is a nuke...
In BvS he was:
- Still under the effect of kryptonite,
- Heavily injured by Batman + Doomsday,
- Was right at the epicenter of the nuke,
- He allowed himself to get tagged, thinking Doomsday would've died with him,
- Most importantly, after all that, he freaking survived!
Stop it, we have no chance against him. Nuke would just bring more casualties on our side way quicker. Meanwhile he'd already be on another continent, laughing at the idiots who thought he would have just stood there.
Fat chance.
We cannot tag him with a nuke if he doesn't want to be tagged.
I guess one way to do it would be if a group of men willing to die somehow trapped him in a room with powerful sonic cannons all around, and then detonate a nuclear bomb that doesn't necessarily work like a missile.
They'll all die but maybe Superman will go down with them

If is Thor he can survived nuke all but superman can't do that he die in movie BvS.

@lan_fan: we have bigger nukes, and alot more of them. Also detonating in atmospheric would cause more damage....and Clark will definitely try to tank them while bloodlusted.
Lol no, why would he tank something he knew would harm him? He's never done that. What a loathe of bullshit.
@zuriel-el: Nuke can lock the target can shoot nuke all focus to superman it will follow him all area.
Skynet just random shot for kill human all in earth.
@richubs: @ourmanuel: @six-deuce:@lan_fan:
Superman die if get lock the target.
@lan_fan: how would he know it would harm him? He is flying from another planet and thinks he can tank anything... why would the guy who never dodges suddenly fear a missile flying at him until too late? Could you honestly imagine MCU Clark bloodlusted and suddenly GTFO bugging out superspeed away from an inbound missile? That is not him.
We could kill him, but with great losses. With his speed he can clearly dodge our traditional nuke strikes, so the only way we get him is to sabotage one below his very feet, court scene style, when he appears. To take control over the world, he needs to take down main military establishments. So we lure him in by fortifying one of the biggest military bases and placing some actually important people that he'll want to kill, like the President of UN, USA or European Parliament, and then, when he arrives, we blow it up to hell with a nuke with 50 times more megatons than the one that almost killed him in BvS. Even if sun could still revive him, it won't be in space, so the cloud from the shroom will block the sun for hours, making it impossible for him to recover. We have some heavy lossess, but that's the only way to do it. Superman is not an idiot, so unless we do a completely reckless sabotage and sacrifice ridiculous amount of valuable people and resources, he is not going to fall for it.
And there ya go. We can re-elect people we lost, rebuilt the country we busted, and nature will eventually recover from a blast like this, at least to a degree. But Superman is dead and we survived. Mission accomplished.
@six-deuce: I'm assuming this is DCEU Superman from JL, and he retains all the knowledge from the movies. When did he get tagged by something that he knew could harm him, but decided to tank them anyway for no reason?
Let's see the context of this mythos.
Who has tagged him? Kryptonians who are as fast as him, and Batman who he severely underestimated due to his poor performance in the past.
Let's see the other instances.
Justice League movie shows what Superman would do against unknown threats, he either dodged them, or counter attacked before the attack could reach him. He only got tagged by Cyborg, who he knew was underwhelming based on his first attack, and WW's shield, which he knew wouldn't do anything either (he still blocked it). When they tried to restrain him, he already knew they were physically weak, and decided to just overpower them.
- Cyborg's first blast: dodged
- Aquaman tried to stab him for the first time: denied
- Wonder Woman lasso: caught
- Wonder Woman bracelet clash: caught
- Flash tried to blitz him for the first time: denied
- Steppenwolf tried to punch him for the first time: dodged
Superman isn't careless whatsoever.
He even dodged bullets first time, then he saw that it did basically nothing to Nam-Ek, and decided to tank the rests without caring much.

@lan_fan: maybe I am misunderstanding this thread, if this is current Supes transported off world with a reprogrammed brain and knowledge that nukes can kill him then sure, he would dodge and we would all die. If this is a Bizarro-style Kryptonian Clark bloodlusted I believe he would try and tank the nuke/s and die along with a couple mill humans.
@six-deuce: I don't really know either, that part is just my assumption since it's never clarified.
@thoromdil: I cant find the upvote button
@six-deuce: there is one?!
@drape: lift a continent...?

@Infinitearmor: they can't follow him forever, he can keep flying vertically upwards until the rocket stops functioning, @Six-Deuce: he will to save his life, and return to rue the rest.
Our only chance is a nuke and Clark's own stupidity in always trying to tank everything instead of using speed to dodge. Under these rules we should survive (as a species), he is bloodlusted and definately will try to tank.
No he certainly would not try to tank a Nuke. He's already been hit by one, he knows he can't tank it, therefore he will not do so.
We win. Even if the nukes miss, nuclear winter would depower Superman anyways. Also, he would still have to sleep and rest at some point.
@nwgzsjuwhm96y2: He was getting stomped horribly by Doomsday though. He had not healed at all as we can see a scar on his face. He was also somehow performing better against Post-Nuke Doomsday than he was against Pre-Nuke version when Doomsday was supposed to be massively amped after the nuke.
