Superman's heat vision matched, then overpowered the absolute zero blasts of Captain Cold, so Ice Man doing it is no go.

Superman inhaled Etrigan's gas vapor attack then expelled it with no problem, so he will have no problem inhaling Drake if he turns into vapor, then super speed rushing to a Black Hole or the sun itself and depositing the X-man into either of those items.

A character that has the durability feats Supes has (including withstanding a supernova "50 times bigger than Keppler's supernova" despite simultaneously being in a Sun Eater and receiving withering blasts of red sun radiation for an extended time, or absorbing a half a galaxy destroying amount of ANTI sunlight and SMILING afterwards) is not going to be affected by anything Drake does.

On the slightest chance any of Ice Man's attacks could affect him, Superman can super speed away or vibrate to intangibility, making anything Drake tried completely useless and moot.

Most likely, Superman's on panel nanosecond, fraction of a nanosecond, attosecond, and faster than advanced alien thought combat speed feats means he KO's Drake before this poor man's abominable snowman can blink.

Translation: SUPERMAN WINS.

@heirtothekingdom: Did he have the death seed when he froze hell or that exploding nuclear reactor?

We both know he didn't. Freezing over hell is impressive, but stopping an exploding reactor isn't something that should be difficult for someone who accomplishes those feats he had with the Death Seed.

spoilers! well this seems impressive from iceman 2017 run #5. iceman defeated the current op juggernaut, mostly via bfr but he showed the ability to freeze the speed of light,he can still go vapor form.

correct image sequence is from right to left.

I don't see how Superman could kill Iceman, even if Iceman's entire body got destroyed, he could easily reform it from the water vapor around him. He could reform his body from water vapor around. In the most recent run, he basically intentionally turns vapor and reform at will, he could even reform inside a person's body and tearing Superman's body from the inside. While Superman's body is durable, I don't know if his digestive system is just as hard, you can't digest anything if your organ is hard as steel. Iceman did kill people when he gets really angry, drawing off all the moisture out of a person and killing him. If he gets pushed too far, Iceman can be very dangerous.

It's an issue of Red Hood and the Outlaws where Superman gets his body filled with some sort of foam and he just increases his body temperature to utterly vaporize it.

He notes he can just alter his body temperature to be as hot as the Sun.

Bobby's cooling can *reach* absolute zero. Most Chemistry labs can *reach* within 3 degrees of absolute zero. There's nothing impressive about it from a chemistry or physics standpoint, the hard part is being able to observe absolute zero without, well, pushing it *just* above absolute zero.

The next time Bobby winks out something as hot as the sun with an internal fusion power source is the next time I think he can legitimately damage Superman.

Also, Killer Frost -Caitlyn Snow- is capable of overcoming the humorously powerful fusion reactor that is Firestorm. She's his archnemesis... She has literally depowered him before through sheer heat absorption.

When's the last time Bobby even *fought* an energy projector/matter manipulator on the level of Firestorm?

Iceman's ability to regenerate or use his powers are often shown to be dependent on moisture in the area, he's been left helpless with his head cut off in the X-Mansion but casually reforming and creating giant versions when in pools of water.

If Superman uses his heat vision it would remove practically all moisture from the area.

You're assuming that Superman knows about Iceman's ability to reform and his potential. Iceman has already stated that he could reform inside people's body, how would Superman knows beforehand to counter that? By the time that happens, it would be too late for Superman as Iceman could have pierced his body from the inside or absolute zero him. At absolute zero, his brain, his mind would freeze, there can't be any activity as every single atom of Superman no longer moves, he wouldn't be able to heat up the body if Iceman absolute zero him. Heat vision would evaporate the area, pushing the vapor to somewhere else, but it would just be temporary as vapor would quickly return to fill in the void due to diffusion. Anyway, when was the head cut off? When was Iceman first shown his ability to return to his human form as vapor? It's usually depending on the writer like Punisher not being affected by Penance Stare. I kinda want to know the scans and the period of the scans. Iceman has demonstrated his reform ability several times without body of water, so I want to see the explanation and what the writer said about it, it could just be the lack of the writers' understanding of the characters which go against the more common showing of that character. It would be strange for someone who could casually flash freeze the entire Manhattan, an Omega mutant, freezing gods to not being about to reform just by having his head cut off when he has shown to be able to be able to reform his body many times without body of water. As of the most recent, he didn't need any body of water to reform, he turns into vapor willingly and reform before do an absolute zero attack on Jug.

Prime Iceman is seriously, seriously underrated.

Freezes Legion solid.

Freezes a nuke explosion.

Claims on a good day he can reach absolute zero very fast and does so against Juggy.

Transmutes Ice to water

Freezes hell over

Can attack is mist (and can turn into mist)

My persona favorite but not really relevant: scares the hell out of Thor. xD

Can teleport, has regeneration and size manipulation.

Freezes an entire city instantly, is omnipresent.

Can create "force fields", travel in space and freeze internal organs.

Tanks a hit from Mjolnir, ice is sharp enough to impale Thor through his armor.

Freezes Thor and teleports several X-Men against their will.

Creates a massive explosion with his punch

I can keep going, there's some other stuff I left out...but yeah...

Yeah, funny how people mistake his limited omnipresence for omnipotence. He wins lots because people underrate him and place him against either bad matchups or vs people he outclasses. In this case it's a bad match up.

I think the issue comes down to Superman's lacking the ability to permanent down Iceman, as he has been shot, his body destroyed, he could reform and turn into mist and vapor. During the recent fight with Jug in the new Iceman solo, he turned into vapor intentionally reform and then do an absolute zero attack right after, freezing and stop the speed of light itself as he puts it.

He could reform as water vapor inside your body, even if you crush him. He intentionally turn into mist when he got grabbed. He could do an absolute zero attack and freezes the molecules around the area or freezing the speed of light. I don't think Superman has a counter to Iceman. While it's true superman could melt him, but water vapor can reform quickly and he could freeze hell over in a flash freeze. Melt iceman doesn't remove vapor, and you could never remove water vapor permanently just by heating it as diffusion would make vapor filled back into the area quickly. Iceman could turn into vapor and pierce superman on the inside as he wanted to do to Jug or he could absolute zero him. Iceman is hard to find a good battle against simply because he's like Midnighter, the fight is decided simply by good or bad matchup. I just notice how often Jug has been used as a punching bag for Iceman. lol

AoA Iceman incident was pure PIS. A fire like that can't dry out enough of the immediate area enough to prevent moisture from forming. Bobby just conveniently forgot how to use his power, he was nowhere near his prime since he 1) allowed himself to get thrown into an oven and 2) didn't teleport/transfer consciousness.

The other scans weren't of full power Iceman either, or Iceman was jobbing. At his peak, which was with the seed (since it made Bobby use his powers properly), he was well beyond that jobber limitation.

Iceman freezes speed of light , prevents photons from being created and instantly withdraws and depletes solar energy from

Superman`s body for few seconds. Then freezes Superman`s molecules at absolute zero.

Also there is no way to put down Bobby with Superman`s powers.
