no morals which is debate standard becasue morals are a hinderance... he instantly lobotomizes him...paralyzes or organ harvest via intangibility...massive planet level heat vision...or biological destructive, absolute zero ice breathe. throw him into the sun...throws him into space...crushes him and the planet with a sufficient punch...his heat vision has long had reality warping capabilities as does his flight but that doesn't matter unless he spears him at a sufficient speeds...kilowog and hal jordan have beat superman but does that mean in logical situation that would be true...no and standard debate practice indeed clears this up...so yeah algae man beating a massive power house of a kryptonian is unlikely and thus stupid...

also i agree with him beating hulk and being a POTENTIAL life wiper like his counterpart black tom

I'm not a big reader of swamp thing but how is he gonna destroy the hulk? Hulk is indestructible. He can breathe in outer space, he can't drown, rapid healing, even the heat of the sun couldn't effect him, I say hulk rips him apart. Napalm destroyed him before, napalm wouldn't do anything to the hulk but piss him off

Vines? He's not Ivy, for god's sake.

Swamp Thing's arm was ripped off by Etrigan, he just stuck it back on like nothing happened and proceeded to punch the Demon. He's taken hits from Superman with no lasting damage, without even fighting back, and then put him to sleep with one touch. Hulk is incapable of putting him down since he can reform from a smear on the ground, and he cannot die.

Oh, and speaking of vines......he's defeated Captain Atom with them vines.

Stalemate IMO. Alot of Swamp things tricks likely wouldn't work on Hulk, as Hulk is difficult to pacify. Hulk can't hurt ST however, as ST would reconstitute over and over and over. ST's strength feats aren't THAT impressive, but his durability is right there with Hulk's. I don't see either of them having a way to hurt each other. I know ST put supes down, but that's not unprecendented in the way it was done. Gassing an enraged Hulk is a different matter.

hulk would be beaten. Swamp Thing cannot be defeated. As long as there's plant life he will continue to grow new bodies. Even if hulk throws him off the planet like someone mentioned he can still show up on other planets and hop back to Earth. Swamp Thing can keep hulk occupied long enough until he calms down, then kill banner. Or he could suffocate him. or a wide variety of things. He could become a little particle and get inside hulk's body, shut down his brain. This version of Swamp Thing can pretty much do anything he wants and thats why he will never lose

I am a massive hulk fan and even i am amazed seeing people say Hulk can beat Swamp Thing.

Hulk has absolutely no way of beating swamp thing, this is a horrible horrible mismatch.

I don't know much about Swamp Thing but to beat the Hulk you have to be powerful. What are Swamp Things powers? Can I have a link to him beating Etrigan, Captain Atom, or Superman. (I find him beating those 3 hard to believe)

Hulk is a powerhouse, and has crazy levels of healing factor and is insanely powerful, BUT he can't beat an elemental like Swamp Thing, he has no way of hurting him, thusly no way of beating him!!

There is only one true "green" king, and it's Alec Holland. Mismatch, Swamp Thing wins.

Man-Thing would be a much fairer fight.

Maybe Hulk's excessive gamma radiation "sweat" can have some effect on Swamp Thing, otherwise there isn't really much he can do.

Thunderclap maybe to disperse Swampy enough for a TKO, not that it would actually kill ST, but still.

You didn't really need to bump this. Its a mismatch/spite match to be honest.

None of those are his best victories either. Not even close.

He beat a powerful version of Arcane who The Monitor stated was as powerful as the Spectre and Trigon. And he tanked an Anti-matter wave from the Anti-Monitor.

Alec should rename himself Stomp Thing, because that's what he'll do to Hulk here.

Wow... the more I learn about ST, the more impressed I become with him. When I first joined this site, I had no idea that he was such a beastly character.

LOL, whose d!ck did he suck to become so powerful? Swamp thing, it sounds pretty funny and silly yet the guy turns out to be insanely powerful. I guess that's cool to have some random thing that you would think is a weakling just from hearing his name yet he actually stomps mainstream powerhouses.

@raynorj: He is the avatar of all plant life (Earth or alien) on a multiversal level. He didn't suck anyone's dick. He's just that powerful.

I agree the name and image are misleading.

But Animal Man is also quite powerful (pre-52) as well and he's the Avatar of all animal life. Pre-52 he can channel the powers of a Sun Eater (they eat suns in case you didn't know :P)
