How powerful will DCEU Shazam be, or how powerful do you think he should be?

Ok, by now, I think most of us have seen pics of Zach Levi in his Shazam (damn, I hate calling him that--he's Captain Marvel, dammit!) costume for the upcoming Shazam movie. For those who haven't seen it, I won't add it here, since I'm not sure if we can link to something that's not supposed to be public yet and I don't want to get Vine into any legal trouble.

Anyways, historically within the DC Comics universe, Capt--er, Shazam has been depicted as Superman's virtual equal in strength, power and speed. DC always said Wonder Woman was second only to Superman, but they actually show Cap as the only true rival to Superman.

So, do you think Shazam will be shown to be on DCEU Superman's level, or will he be on Wonder Woman's level, or even somewhere in between? And how many Shazam vs Thor/Hulk/insert whatever MCU powerhouse threads will there be? LOL

Around Superman's level, I guess.

An infinite amount. Easily enough to make everyone sick.

Second only to Superman

He will be more powerful than MCU Thor.

And there will be 100 MCU Thor vs DCEU Shazam threads. And another 100 nerfing Shazam so that Thor has a chance.

I think I will keep stock of these names as people that would rather assume how powerful a character will be and automatically assume they will be more powerful than another character, rather than wait for the movie and judge them on their actual feats.

He'll rival Superman in power most probably but will not be necessarily his equal by default because I don't think they'll show him to be proficient in using his abilities. He'll be a powerhouse trapped inside a kid's mind.

I think Supemran will be his role model of some sorts. There are unconfirmed reports that the kid who asked Superman questions in the video log that was shown in the beginning of Justice League was actually Billy Batson. Sounds good if you ask me.

And if he ends up being equal or comparable to Superman in power than he's more powerful than MCU Thor, Hulk tier characters by default.

Powerful enough to perform speedblitzes.

Supes level.

Comparable to DCEU Superman in terms of power

He'll be close to Superman in power.

Superman would one shot Hulk and Thor at the same time with one punch, while Billy would two shot them, one punch for each.

Not a battle but as powerful as Supes, but with some magic.

I hope the rest of the DCEU movies upgrade the League with higher feats while giving us more in general for Supes.

OT: Shazam will probably be in terms of the chain DCEU Supes > DCEU Shazam > DCEU Wonder Woman

OT: Euther Supes' equal, or based on the images he can be cartoon levels of strong.

Slower than Superman but he'll have more DC with his lightning.
