How much can MCU Thor lift?
@_kingoflatveria: huh? Lol
a star
a star
Miles long, 2000 ft thick space metal rings. As an anchor between the Milano’s pod ship at full power (capable of FTL travel) and the forge rings.
Seemed to move them pretty far as it didn’t show him jump away until the rings were locked in position.
This feat is clearly an outlier. So if your looking for his highest showing 1000+.
His regular showings, busting tanks, concreate pillers ect, put him around 50.
@death4bunnies: That's because he's never lifted anything else. He didn't lift tanks in AOU
@death4bunnies: I wouldn't say it's an outlier since he doesn't have many lifting feats to begin with.
It would be an outlier if he's struggled or failed to lift lesser weight previously, which he hasn't (not at full power anyway). Everything he's lifted prior to the Star Ring he's done so with ease.
Not much he struggled to tip a table in Thor 1 couldn't catch a rock in Thor 2 and doesn't really have many feats other than that. The rings thing was for a start in space and he didn't move them the ship did.
Hmmm tough one. He survived the full force of a star, can planet bust with the bifrost and cut through a beam capable of wiping out half the universe. I would say he’s at least planetary level strength and by feats universal.
14% of people hate thor
Anyways his best feat was forging stormbreaker, someone did the calcs and it was roughly over 100 tons possibly much much more

Does he lift over 100 tons? I must have missed it. Would love to actually have some strength feats for him to use.

He was able to hold the machine in place allowing the beam to focus energy on the metal for about 10-20 seconds, so i estimate 100 tons
Those people who claim the ship did all the heavy lifting are ignorant as hell. If Thor's strength was lackluster in that scenario he would have been pulled right off the edge of the ring, or his grip would have faltered and the ship shot off into space. It might not correlate into him benching that entire thing, but it's still damn impressive.
OT: hundreds of tons
@lord_titan_: Damn cool, actually didn't know that was a decent strength feat. 100+ tons puts him pretty far up the list.
@clownprinceofcrime1995: Thor didn't try to catch the rock, he blocked with his arms while he was visibly dazed and he did not struggle to lift the table are you serious.
Rocket's ship moved the Ring, but it couldn't move Thor, so that means Thor would have to be providing equal or greater strength than what the ship is using.
You guys do know that right? Stand on top of a bus and have someone pull you with a car and see if the bus moves since you think being an anchor doesn't take much strength.
Thor was dying after that "Full force of a star" feat. It was impressive that he held on for as long as he did but lets not pretend that he didn't need the axe immediately after to stay alive. That also has nothing to do with strength. I ask again. When did Thor lift anything close to 2 million pounds?
@enemybird: This is a thread about strength not durability, so Thor needing the axe to recover from the star beam has nothing to do with anything.
The strength comes in when Thor played tug of war with Rocket's ship which moved a giant space ring and when he opened the door to the Star Gate
Let me guess "The ship did most of the work" and "Opening the star gate wasn't that heavy".

Doesn't the weight of an object depend on the force of gravity? Lifting unearthly objects in space is pretty un-quantifiable if you ask me. I also don't recall any quotes from the characters during those feats that would lead one to believe Thor was lifting the equivalent of 1000 tons. If we look at the stuff he as done on earth, I don't see how anyone could think Thor could lift 100 tons causally let alone ten times that amount.
@enemybird: No, and kinda. Weight and mass are slightly different, your weight would change on the moon but not your mass._. Also things tend to want to stay in place unless a force greater than there inert mass acts upon them._. Imagine your trapped between the space station and a shuttle, even in space you couldnt push them apart._.._.._. The strain on thors grip vs rocket ftl ship should be seen as Captain Americas helicopter feat.

My point was that we don't know what kind of forces we are dealing with. Which is true. EDIT: and I know the difference between weight and mass, Thanks.
