Before the Surtur feat about 100.

Hulk should be grateful that he got that feat.However, Surtur doesn't looks that big when Hulk punches him so I would say almost 20.

Yall mfs must be forgetting that Godzilla was being beat around by the tiny muto. Hell I change my answer to just 1. Godzilla can't tag Hulk, possibly won't even see him and he can't pull Hulk off of him.

No. 2014 Gozilla survived the Castle Bravo nuke point blank at the start of the movie and was largely unharmed. In a tie-in comic he also survived a meteor that brought about one of the Earth's mass extinction events.

Hulk does not have anywhere close to the striking feats to one shot.

The people who made that movie didn't know jack about nukes, though. Or they were making an alternative timeline. They explicitly state later on that the nuke they want to use now is in the megatons while the nukes Godzilla tanked on Bikini Atoll were in the mere kilotons.

For those that don't know, the Castle Bravo test on Bikini Atoll was 15 megatons and the largest nuke the US has ever tested. It was actually only supposed to be 5. The lithium-7 isotope was believed to be inert. It wasn't. Opps. So the detonation was triple the size and the fallout caused a lot of problems (and some deaths) due to its much-higher-than-expected yield. For reference sake, this is over 1,000 times the power of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima. Yeah, fusion bombs are scary.

If he survived the Chicxulub impactor, though? Like, a direct hit? OMG. That asteroid's impact released the energy of 130 TERATONS. And it pretty much had to be the Chicxulub impactor, since it's the only known mass extinction from an asteroid. Even an asteroid of that size only caused such devastation because it hit the absolute worst place possible. The damage wouldn't have been nearly as bad if it hit land or deep ocean.

@zaggran:

A military officer is the one who suggested to use a megaton range nuke. It is entirely possible he was just mistaken about the power of the nukes dropped on Godzilla back then based on his assumption that modern nukes would be superior. The actual scientists who were studying Godzilla were skeptical about whether or not the plan would work and only went along with it because they could think of no other option, and ultimately it ended inconclusive as to if the general's plan would've actually worked or not.

Based on Godzilla's feats based on what we know from the real world Bikini Atoll and his comic feat of surviving the Permian Extinction impact we can safely assume the general's plan would have failed.

For some reason I am having a hard time uploading images right now. If you use google you should be able to find the scans yourself, they've been all over this website for a long time now. I apologize for the inconvenience.

In the on-panel depiction of the events we see the meteor hurtling toward Godzilla and then striking him directly while he is standing on land. The explosion we see is strongly visible from outside the Earth's atmosphere.

Even if we wanted to disregard all of Godzilla's feats of resisting explosive force though, he's still many, many times larger and heavier than even the most generous calculations for the space whale Hulk one shot. The only feat Hulk has that implies he can even hurt something of Godzilla's size is him mildly annoying Surtr, and that isn't nearly enough to suggest a one shot.

Wut. That's not how the Permian-Triassic extinction event happened. Rampant volcanism deposited a ton of nickel around the world. Meanwhile, a microbe called methanosarcina evolved a new metabolic pathway that used ocean sediment and - you guessed it - nickel, but produced methane as a byproduct. Methanosarcina reproduced out of control and flooded Earth with methane, causing a runaway greenhouse effect and all sorts of other assorted nastiness. The oceans turned to acid and became so hypoxic that most aquatic life drowned. And all this death just fed the methanosarcina in a horrific cycle.

Really annoys me that the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event is so much more famous just because it killed the dinosaurs. They call the Permian-Triassic event "The Great Dying" for a reason. 5-10% of species survived it, and those held on by a thread. This was the only mass extinction of INSECTS. Compare this to the Cretaceous-Paleogene event which had a 25% survival rate with many species still flourishing.

Anyway, the Godzilla writers don't know what the hell they're on about. Both their human and Earth history are all over the place, and Godzilla's durability is very inconsistent. He was clearly beaten and battered from those MOTAs tossing him into buildings, but he survives a direct hit from a large impact event? That's like surviving a .50 BMG round to the head and then nearly dying of a papercut.

Just with movie feats probably around 10 due to the size of Godzilla.

He was KO’d by a building IIRC whereas Hulk had a building fall on him and not a scratch.

@zaggran:

Mate, it's a movie about an animal that violates every law of physics known to man. It is also a setting in which entire ecosystems of these physics defying beings once roamed the Earth feeding on the latent radiation of the planet. Re-writing the pre-history eras of Earth is part of the world building of this movie universe to explain where all these impossible animals came from. In real paleontology the Godzilla species never existed. Nor did Rodan or Mothra or King Ghidorah, all of whom will appear in the movie this year.

It is no different than the MCU changing WW2 history to include a red faced superhuman or the Fox universe insisting the "next step in human evolution" involves shooting fire out of our eyes and controlling metal with our minds. That isn't how evolution works, but we still enjoy it because the powers and stories are fun.

Godzilla was never injured by being smashed through those buildings. Nothing in the movie penetrated his hide except maybe the claws of the MUTOs. He had also just woken up from a decades long nap and chased the male MUTO across half the world for days without rest. It is reasonable to assume he was tired before he even went in to fight the MUTOs. At the very least groggy.

Also the amount of force the MUTOs can casually exert by virtue of their sheer mass is a fair bit ahead of Hulk's best striking feats, so even getting knocked around by them isn't a low enough showing to argue a one shot from Hulk.

When we see him the next day after the fight he is sleeping. Then he wakes up and leaves with no visible injury to be seen.

@kinglouie: Godzilla no sold nukes, and lived after a direct impact from the meteor that killed the dinosaurs. Making surtur flinch isn’t enough too do anything to Godzilla.

Ok Hulk is powerful at punching by slightly deconcentrating 400-500 meters sized Surtur. But this fire giant has 0 feats in terms of durability/musculature

@sexybayonetta22: it's durable enough to bust out of the palace from the basement level. Has strength to support it's weight and swing around a massive sword. Damage soak to take several massive spikes to the chest. Surtur is on a level above Godzilla even based on his short screen-time. A skyscraper collapsing on Surtur would not pin him the way it pinned Godzilla temporarily.

@nerdchore: Godzilla gets stomped by that many. Hulk is very maneuverable with his jumping. Godzilla would be hit from every angle and dismantled in less than a minute.

LOL at the Hulk beating Godzilla who's more durable than the MCU high tiers put together, Surtur included. Even if you don't take the Permian impact durability seriously, he still has feats such as casually shrugging off nukes in the kiloton range, and tanked castle bravo which is a 14 megaton nuclear bomb at point blank range, without a single dent in him whatsoever. On top of that, it has already been confirmed that no nuke on the planet can harm him.

Basically this:

Godzilla tanks the Permian impact, nukes in the kiloton range and Castle Bravo (14 mt nuke) w/o any harm at all, but somehow getting K.O'ed by a building falling on him is his consistent durability level. Gotta love these MCU chars, lol.

@rebake: Godzilla was extremely exhausted before the building fell. And its about strength if anything but GZ leveled a city just by coming out of the water and was easily stronger than the male muto who could drag him around. Godzilla should be multi-hundred thousand tonner at the very least. Not to mention his upcoming presumable hundred billion ton durability feat.
