How many Green Lanterns to defeat the Galactic Empire (Star Wars)?

Title is self explanatory.

Rules:

• Lanterns are morals on. Everyone in the Empire is bloodlusted and will do anything to win.
• The Empire is at its peak of power.
• The Lanterns have to defeat the Empire while avoiding civil casualties.
• Post Crisis and New 52 feats for Lanterns. Legends and canon feats for the Empire.

So, how many do they need?

The entire Core x10^67.

I'd say the entire corp plus the guardians could take the empire.

I'm going team empire, just fire up the ol hyperdrive on an eclipse class and navigate to a space just behind any tenacious bastard who survives for to long.

I call this the "Get Wrecked" strategy.

Your going to have to bring in a silly number of them.

Mogo and Kilowog plus all the human lanterns will do. Though it may take a while.

@major_hellstorm: @war_of_light_2814: Mogo should die to a fleet of star destroyers or just the Death Star. Also can't see them taking out a sidious who just surrounds a ship or planet he is on with a force storm.

Does this include Sith? If it does, the corps will need help, an army of 300 Lanterns ought to do it.

WTH are people thinking? Hal or Kyle can do it on their own. Two would be enough.

@noah_ouellette: Sidious isn't too fast for a Lantern and I am pretty sure Kyle can take him down solo. I think 305 Lanterns is enough, they can have Sodam Yat and Ganthet if needed.

@major_hellstorm: fought with Luke who thinks and acts in atto seconds. Feats for the lanterns moving or thinkin that fast? I know the ring operates in nanoseconds. But that's about it. And no Kyle isn't doing anything to sidious lmao

@noah_ouellette: On mobile atm, I can just use desktop mode. Lanterns can move at FTL speeds, so yeah I think they are covered.

Really? Sidious' best feats are destroying planets with ease IIRC, but I don't recall him using it in battle, could be wrong though.

@wallywest042: No, even without Sith the Empire can bust entire planets and overwhelm 2 Lanterns. With Sith, it's not much a contest anymore because they will have the numbers advantage and the Lnaterns will lose most of their advantages.

They travel at ftl speeds. No combat speeds at that speed. Trust me Ik I enjoy Hal in a nice cav. And like technically sidious was fighting luke

@noah_ouellette: I use a Samsung device and Google Chrome so for me when I go to CV I press the three dots on the top right side of the page, then I scroll down and look for the boz that says Request Desktop mode and I click it and after it reloads you are done. It gives you almost all of the PC features.

I think I have a scan of them creating constucts that fast as well, let me check. Kyle > Hal, but if you say so.

@major_hellstorm: WTF? How would planet busting bases help them against Lanterns? And why would the empire have Sith other than Vader and Sidious?

@wallywest042: They have powerful fleets as well that could destroy planet life. There's Vader, Palpatine and Tyranus. But there are other force users like Maul, Savage Opress, Asajj Ventress. So more than Vader and Sidious (who on are poweful).

I don't know much SW outside the movies, but the movie Sith were nowhere near powerful enough to pose a threat to Lanterns.

@wallywest042: By shooting them out of the sky. They can travel just as fast at the Lanterns and with their numbers even hurt them, 1 Lantern would become overwhelmed just by sheer numbers.

Sidious got busts planets and armies are like play things to Vader in the comics (IIRC) so they alone pose a threat.

@citizensurfer: lol well. Read Dark empire. Still need proof for lanterns operating at those speeds anyways. As of rn they are the same speed if neither of us bring out feats

@major_hellstorm: The planet busting bodies aren't fast enough to hit them. The other ships would just annoy them.

Have Sidious and Vader taken down foes who can fly and bust planets themselves? Planet busting attacks are not nearly enough to hurt Kyle. Also, how exactly did Sidious destroy the planet?

I want you to back up your claims of Sidious & Luke operating within the span of attoseconds, nothing more and nothing less. I'm not even debating in this thread because I don't know enough about Green Lantern's. But you on the other hand have made quite a drastic claim and you need to back it up with proof.

Kyle has held back exploding singularities, black holes, supernovas. A rookie Kyle took hits from Parallax.

The only problem would be Sidous. kyle,Hal,Stewart, maybe even guy can destroy stardestroyers with ease. The other nameless lanturns can destroy starfighters or wreck ground troops again with ease. If anything Luke would help the green lanterns.

The sun crusher would be annoying to deal with but it'd go down.

So Any of the three big lanterns (Kyle,John, Hal) and a dozen nameless lanterns should do it.

Luke is just as powerful as Sidious and got even more powerful as a Grandmaster IIRC. He can't fly but is quite fast though.

Peetty sure that isn't consistant, I have feats of Kyle getting hurt by much less.

Honestly Kyle could solo, but it would take a long time.

Agreed, but Sidious using planet busting attacks would be more inconsistent.

i hate the lanterns. very inconsistent to me. by high feats a lantern can probably ruin the entire empire at once. but the lanterns that mundanely get lost in melees or batkicked or whatever, written as just another combatant, would have serious problems with EU vader 1v1

and by lore those star wars vessels are pumping serious wattage. im not sure how many star destroyers there is in the EU, but even high feat lanterns might have trouble from a volley of a solar system of star destroyers

@wallywest042: A Star Destroyer can vaporise meteors in a single blast. TIE fighters are also quite powerful. Not an expert though.

How would the GLs counter a force choke or life drain or something similar? Loghtsabers can probably ta k their attacks and force push plus future sense can be used to counter.

How many can he coontain before his ring dies out? Palpatine can create Force Stroms from literal light years away on a whim.

I am not saying he beats Kyle alone (although noah ouellette tells me otherwise), but Kyle and/or Hal won't solo the Empire. I said there were 1000s of ships but that was an understatement, but Star Destroyers alone come in at 25,000, and who knows how many TIE Fighters there are? In a given large scale battle at least a 1,000 are present. This doesn't even include ground troops like giant AT-AT Walkers and the like.

shouldn't Kyle or Hal be able to dust them off? maybe I'm not entirely knowledgeable on 'Peak Empire'
