They did Thor dirty in endgame, The same headbutt that put him on the ground was shrugged off by CM. Thor gets one shot in a couple of seconds.

but more importantly he is also mentally broken and does not even have the willpower to fight anymore .

I think even on the ground he can last a couple of minutes. Batman , Cyborg , Flash and Aquaman aren't doing anything to a guy who survived the full force of a star . The only real threats are Shazam , WW and Supes . They would completely overwhelm him but he survives 2 minutes due to his high durability.

Her other arm was free and she was about to punch Thanos. He looked legit worried and removed the power gem to defeat her.

Carol also had to try hard restraining weakened thanos even though hulk and warmachine helped

Thanos knew someone would come and help her thus had to get rid of her the fastest way possible (power gem)

@miekskywalker: Due to the fact Thanos was overpowering Marvel in his weakened state at the beginning of IW I'm starting to lean towards the conclusion she got a boost from the stones. I usually don't deal with head canon but sometimes exceptions have to made. It would make no sense for Marvel to overpower a prime Thanos considering she couldn't even do that when he was weakened and walking with a limp.

However just before that he throws her aside easily and puts the gauntlet on so without the gauntlet he is still stronger than her

Its strange hes her superior without the gauntlet. However, with the gauntlet she got stronger but since he has it he can use the power gem so he wins either way if that makes sense.

Around the same time the audience starts applauding , Carol no sells Thanos' head butt , and pushes him back , and twists his hand with just one hand of her own . She is then about to hit Thanos (who is on one knee) . Thanos looks scared of taking Carol's punch , and uses quick thinking to avoid his face getting smashed .

He wins with the gauntlet and without that's what happened on screen and that's the feat. Without the gauntlet he throws her like she's nothing

He loses hard without the gauntlet . She already proved she's stronger than him (overpowered him and no sold his headbutt) . And in addition to that , she has flight and energy blasters. No way Thanos is defeating her without the gauntlet . Very small chance if he has the sword though .

I don't think so. His feats are objectively worse. We all just make our own conclusions based on what we see. He visually looked slower, never showed any of his skill that he previously had, didn't use lightning cloak, didn't use lightning strikes. He fought like Pre-Ragnarok Thor with nerfed agility, and no lightning strikes, basically.

the events of IW and start of endgame broke thor mentally .
also lets say you are a MMA fighter or boxer or whatever and you decide to just sit on your ass , play video games and drink beer for 5 years straight
by all logic you can´t replicate your feats from 5 years ago even if you were a champion back then your present self would get wrecked by any semi decent regularly trained fighter .

thor is out of shape , was out of action for 5 years and the most important factor his mind is just not there .
he no longer has the willpower nor the right mind set to fight .

There is no proof being fat made Thor weaker physically or slower. Thor isn't some average joe, he's an alien who can throw people over 50 feet in the air, tank stars, and shoot lightning. There is nothing that indicates in the MCU being fat makes Asgardian's weak. In fact, in original Norse mythology Thor and other Asgardian's are usually big and they still have crazy feats.

Everyone was out of action for 5 years during Endgame's final battle, what's your point?

Thor's mind was still there. What do you think him calling Mjnoir when he visited his mother was about? It wasn't to set up Cap using it later in the movie it was a way for Thor to remind himself he's still the same old Thor. It's literally why he says "I'm still worthy!"
