The Sonic Tanks are basically House Atreides's Weirding Module tehconology but as a tank.

Here's what Weirding Modules can do:

Loading Video...

How just image this same weapon but more powerful and built onto a tank, and that's the Atreides Sonic Tank.

Though they do have two noticeable weaknesses.

1: They can't turn it's gun like normal tanks can with their guns as it is mounted still on it, so the whole tank has to turn just to aim at enemies.

And 2: The weapon can also hurt allies is they stand in front of the tank.

@jwwprod: Powerful, but I apologize my question was directed towards how effective is it against armored vehicles? especially tanks compared to the other houses' tanks?

Well the weapon on the Sonic Tank is absolutely lethal against infantry and light vehicles, it's also good against heavy vehicles but not as good as against infantry and light vehicles.

@jwwprod:

It's not 100% clear if this is for novels, movie, or game. If it's from the novels, Paul (and later Duncan) become incredibly tough to beat with perfect foresight and a range of capabilities depending on the book. In the Sandworms of Dune (written by Frank Herbert's son but based on his outline/notes), Duncan essentially becomes one with the universe and is basically a high end reality warper. That's a weak book, but still part of the Dune series. I don't know WH40k, but as soon as Paul gains perfect foresight I don't know how he can be beaten.

@cosmicdude: In every thread I use Dune houses the leaders are always Novel as well as the Fremen and Sardaukar (Though they are both given game Equipment).

The rest is all from the Westwood games.

@jwwprod: wasn't Paul Atreides pretty much a psychic after the events on arakis? I don't know the other army but, realistically speaking, house atreides has a distinct advantage having 4 people lead this large of a force vs. 1.

If you mean for this battle to be both sides just slam forces head on and see what happens, do you have a link to their arsenals.

40K side also has psychics (The 4 Rogue Psykers).

I already listed the arsenals for both sides in the op.

According to Lexicanum, The Stigmartus operates on harsh discipline and military-style organization similar to their Imperium IG counterparts similar to the Blood Pact.

@jwwprod: Eh, tbh Rogue Psykers are a bit of a wildcard. It would be beyond the realm of possibility that they easily kill their whole unit, or they could summon up a bloodthirster.

The Stigmartus only have the units I have listed for them in this battle. So no summoning a Bloodthirster.

Well you get the point. I wouldnt trust your average Rogue Psyker farther that I could throw them because of sheer unpredictability. Almost as bad as Weirdboyz......

Paul is also not to be underestimated, as captain_inverse said he's pretty much a psychic and he also has precog which can help out a lot.

Team Chaos should take this comfortably. Thier main deficit being leadership and tactical acumen of Paul Atreides. If they are similar to blood pact they will be able to soldier through this due to a couple major factors. Mainly the maneuverability and long range lethality of the sentinels makes them an effective counter to most Atreides armor units. Also chaos seems to have ALOT of plasma here. That said, fremen are amazing guerrilla fighters and Paul's precog is a wildcard. 8/10 team chaos.
