If this is true, than he may be able to use this to deal with HL's heat vision. (This is debatable, but worth noting.) Another time he could unnaturally control fire (to a degree)

Homelander should also prove heavily vulnerable by the Penance Stare, as it inflicts damage related to the harm the user has inflicted in their life time.

HL is incredible sensitive, so being reminded of how much of a horrific monster he is will destroy him, as he aims to be an all-loved hero. The Penance Stare will inflict this emotional pain, which is a notable weakness of his.

HL also would fail with his usual quick laser kill against GR, since GR has proven solid healing.

HL being unable to sense or hear his emotions will be something that leans for the GR to catch HL off-guard. GR also moves in a very supernatural manner, which-to our knowledge-Homelander has never seen before.

GR either kills him with his chains death touch, or the PS drops him.

Homelander can physically bully GR, but GR has several means of winning, and one of them directly targets HL's mental fragility. The PS is also something GR would use in-character. While options HL has like space BFR are debatable and not something he has shown to do in-character, nor do we even know if it would actively stop GR.

@crimson_comet: HL blitzes easily since he is faster than sound maybe even light since at the age of 10 he was breaking the sound barrier and GR cant even harm HL since not even nukes work on him

@gokuisthebest: HL in character does not do much with a speed blitz, he just beam spams, or chokes his targets. GR also has show a form of fire or heat manipulation and might be able to manage HLs eye beams (though debatable)

We also have no clue if GR can even be defeated by simple physical means. One example is how his body can't decay.

GR also has his hellfire chains that might be able to one-shot them like they did to demonic deities beings.

GR can also do crazy damage with the Penance Stare, as it attacks the user from a supernatural way. HL is mentally fragile and will get messed up. HL trying to choke GR allows easy access to the very effective PS.

I am literally repeating points I already made.

A FTL claim for Homelander is iffy, though not entirely improbable. However, it is not something he does in-character. HL has no prep to bother leading with that, and he should not be able to uses his sense to figure out GR like he can humans.

His chains won't work on HL since HL is easily stronger than GR and HL son Ryan while pissed one-shotted stormfront who is 100 years+and Stormfront who is easily stronger than starlight who tanked a sniper (5 to 15ft) and starlight who could lift a car and punch through walls easily was fodder compared to Stormfront and queen Maeve who is the 2nd strongest seven-member is considered fodder when compared to HL she even says it and she can tank speeding car with no damage and HL can one-shot her with his laser eyes

@gokuisthebest: The chain supernatural abilities are difficult to gauge if they would or would not work against Homelander, whos durability itself is debatable, as we have so few feats to work with to get a gauge, and statements that really push that degree upward. As of now, it is very possible that Homelander will or will not be harmed by the chains.

As you mentioned, Homelander has alot of potential scaling to run through to find another manner to gauge him, but this ultimately does not matter. Due to the lack of knowledge we have on the limits of GR's chains.

Though the capacity of these chains do not make or break the topic.

Ghost Rider still has his best tool The Penance Stare. Homelander is mental fragile, the PS will destroy him. He has nothing to display a mental defense, he even admits and displays feeling, aspects that the PS lean on to cause self-inflicted damage to its target. Homelander has a lot of baggage and aspiring to become. His past haunts him as it is, the PS will only heighten that and pump it as damage.

Sidenote. Even if HL is bloodlusted, that does not mean he will actively speedblitz or BFR GR. We have seen that an angry HL resorts to continuous heat vision attacks. Which GR can be argued to manage due to his displays of heat manipulation, resistance, and additional healing. Prior knowledge will suit HL better. Though the TM has provided us with "Random Encounter" which tends to mean no prep or prior/additional knowledge (unless stated otherwise).

Some specified rules would make this easier though. Both sides here have plenty of feats, claims, and potential options that can make or break their win chance here.

@gokuisthebest: The heat vision impacting Stormfront is different than how it will impact a supernatural hellfire being.... especially one that has displayed a form of heat manipulation and resistance.

Homelander does not have to care about others for the PS to work... so long as he has caused suffering to anyone, he will experience all that suffering displayed onto himself. Everyone that he has ever killed [likely] had felt powerless to him, and he mentally will be placed in a damaging and suffering state. He will experience being powerless and destroyed, like the suffering, pain, and destruction he has inflicted. All that damage will be inflicted on him. He mentally has a hard time with people disliking him. He will be destroyed by something that targets him like the PS. He will experience the feelings of everyone he has ever killed, all that fear, being powerless, anger, and the hate they have for him.

The fragile mentality of HL should no be able to manage an attack like the PS. Heck, he can barely keep it together half the time.

It does way more than make someone go crazy, HL is not going to shed a tear then bring out the blitz. He is dealing with his soul taking all the damage, pain, and suffering he has ever dealt: which he actively does.

Homelander is still human...... Ghost Rider is a human who is possessed by "THE SPIRIT OF VENGANCE" a being that could mop the floor with anyone in the boys universe........ Also ghost riders powers from the movies are exactly the same strength and powerset. Any weapon that was created to harm Homelander in his universe ghost rider would hellifyit tenfold then destroy the dude.

GR should be able to wrap him up in chains and toast his soul. I don't see HL doing much to hurt him.

If HL goes in serious and goes all out he can knock GR around a lot. Tempted to say he could win this; but GR's durability and abilities can get him a win.

I can't believe there are people here that actually think Homelander has any chance, this is a huge mismatch, Ghost Rider at base power could mop the floor with HL, Homelander is man made, and just say for a minute he can stop being a big baby and actually strategize a plan of action, nothing in his arsenal could hurt GR, not the heat vision like so many claim, heat vision, or his laser as some may say is only a concentrated form of fire, it cuts through items like a torch, hitting ghost rider with this will have the same effect of trying to use a flame thrower to put out a forest wildfire GR could control fire not just manipulate it he could create it from nothing and could do it anywhere, even underwater and his hellfire is way hotter than HL heat vision, Ghost rider can only be hurt by a heavenly weapon, or a weapon made by god, Homelander again, man made, some people here clearly don't know GR's back story. Homelander has no defense for GR attacks, Home lander strength as some claim is can match GR, this is false GR fights celestial being even the devil himself, and took the best from the hulk and thor, and wasn't fazed by it, HL is not even in the same league, a simple hell fire burn will put HL on the shelf, let alone what the penance stare could do.
