NAMOR, WONDER MAN AND THE THING
NAMOR, WONDER MAN AND THE THING

Rules:

Battle happens in an indestructible planet, on a rainy day. Morals off. Perfect teamwork. No BFR. Namor and Hercules are at classic levels, and the former starts fully hydrated, while the latter has his adamantine mace. Wonder Man is at the peak of his power. The Thing is at modern levels. Who wins?

ROUND 2: Exactly the same, but Hercules and Red Hulk are joined by Abomination, who is at the peak of his power (pre-death).

Team 2 probably wins due to numbers. Simon alone already took on Red Hulk. Anybody on team 2 can give Hercules a good fight already. With one or two piling on it won't end well for Herc.

Yeah I'm thinking team 2 as well they're all fairly similar power wise with the exception of Herc probably being the strongest. The numbers advantage for team 2 definitely gives them the win though.

Simon was massively amped and he was soloing entire teams of Avengers, including Thor, when he fought Red Hulk (and it was a sneak attack, AND it was Bendis) i know we like to leave out context but all of that feels like its kinda a big deal

Team 1 Base Wonder Man is pretty much useless here. Namor is outclassed by Hercules and Red Hulk can beat Ben...

@warlockmage: he wasn't amped (as much as people like to say that, there is 0 evidence he was amped in any way or form) and it was Rulk who sneaked up on him (and still got his ass kicked). And he didn't solo Avengers either, he only grounded Thor for a while and did the same to Wolverine prior to being BFRd.

Doubt Rulk could tackle any of these dudes in a 1 v 2 scenario. The power levels between the pair and team 2 aren't that far off between each other.

Wonder Man is a powerhouse by himself by his feats, and even classic Namor could still tangle with people above his level. Thing is a excellent tank and can also dish out as much as he can take. Hercules is strong, and he'll definitely beat down team 2, but if they can take care of Rulk, there's no chance Herc is winning against all three of them and he'll get jumped pretty fast, despite his fighting skill and experience.

his standard power level is well below that and it was noted that his Ionic Form was not stable he was acting irrational and uncontrolled... so either its bad writing or he was amped. and he was fighting the entire team of Avengers and he totaled the strongest member of the team with very little difficulty.

I have to ask is it your stance that Wonder Man can fight entire teams of Avengers and total Thor? because if so i guess we need to stop here.

Based on...?

Yes, when he faced Avengers and shortly after that. None of these issues were present when he engaged Rulk - he was fully in control, promised to make amends for the shit he did when he was unstable and there was no indication of any kind of instability whatsoever.

so either its bad writing or he was amped.

It's neither.

and he was fighting the entire team of Avengers and he totaled the strongest member of the team with very little difficulty.

No he wasn't and no he didn't. Thor was taken out only for a page and got up shortly.

He can't and he did nothing like that. The best you can get out of that encounter is that he gut punched Thor and it hurt him enough to get him out of the fight for literally one page. He should be able to keep up with Thor thp, considering how even back in 2000 he could tank a Mjolnir strike from bloodlusted brainwashed Thor in the face with minimal trouble.

Hercules has consistently been portrayed as being equal to Thor in strength at the very least, and he's tagged Quicksilver. Tanked a punch from Namor and called it a "feeble tap". He's taken down Thing before, and Adam Warlock (who had the soul stone) while we're at it.

On the other hand, Wonder Man has taken out opponents on Rulk's level before (including Rulk) and has consistently been compared to Thor in strength (including by Hercules, though falls just short of the mark it seems). He's going to be the MVP of the team. Not hard to see it becoming a 2 or 3 vs 1, and Hercules probably loses that.

Namor/WM/Thing 7-8/10.
