Hall of Fame Junior Round 1: Voting Closed

Time for the trial run of the HoF Jr (to see if this idea will be successful enough to be repeated). This idea was made so that new users can be congratulated for their efforts of being a stand out user and show future newbies how it's done.

Rules for Voting

• You may only vote once
• You can vote for up to 3 people.
• You can only vote for people who have frequently posting been on CV for a year or less, but again since this is the first edition I will be loose. So you can vote for a person who has been here for slightly longer than a year but not any longer than a quarter longer, also if someone votes you, you cannot vote.
• Please base votes on the behaviors of the debaters listed and the talent they show in debating
• Positive comments only please
• You can only vote if you have been frequently posting on CV for more than 1 year
• Only 2-3 people will be awarded every edition, however since this is the first edition I will allow up to 5.
• Also, if you want to give readers a reason to vote for you, you can campaign here.
• Voting period lasts 1 week (7 days exactly). I will tally the score when this is over.

Positive comments only? So now the new wave is somehow devoid of criticism? By concept, new users have a lot of room for improvement, a couple of direct, harshly perceived critics might do better than simply pat each other in the back. You only learn from mistakes, keep that in mind.

That said, im almost entirely disconnected from the new wave so i have no one to nominate.

@ghostravage: I mean, why would you criticise new users here of all places? You can give them feedback and cirque in the Debater's Rating Thread if ask for it, but I don't see why we should allow negative comments in a thread that is there to praise them.

@king_hellstorm:What GR is saying is that we should be able to express if we feel certain members are no deserving on being in the HOF jr like has been done in the real HOF.

Also I think HOF jr should have temporary inductees. Like once the next wave of voting begin the old inductess are removed since by then they will be competing for the real HOF and are no longer junior members.

@emperorthanos: Well, I'm not sure if that's a great idea since new Viners aren't going to be as tolerant as HoF level ones, but if he does it in the read HoF then he can do it here since the rules are essentially the same.

Hmmm, the current plan is to not have a "club" like the real HoF and top just make this a one off congrats. But that actually sounds better.

This needs some traction so I'll go ahead and cast votes for @darthjhawk, @shirso, and @thewatcherking. Hopefully Valor gets voted in too since you're taking up to 5 people. He's one of the best debaters in the New School.

Thanks but I doubt I have what it takes to be in anything HoF related even if I was qualified.

@king_hellstorm: Huh? I started debating seriously the first day I got here. Unless you're measuring debates by CaVs (my first one was 8 months ago) which I don't think is very efficient because so many users and good debaters simply choose not to do them.

Anyway, this is us a rather redundant idea as there are literally some 5 actually HoF worthy debaters that qualify for this, those being God_Vulcan, Valor_175 and DarthJhawk and probs 1 or 2 others that I can't think of right now.

Yea... most of the newer Viners are just blegh. Especially the bloody live action ones, the "talent in debating" thing kinda ducks them over. I'll have to think on this but @darthjhawk definitely has my vote.

Does hof have anything to do with medals being near your avatar? I've never understood what those medals meant.

I feel like people are some people missing the point. This isnt HOF voting. This is voting for those new users you feel are on their way to becoming HOF.

I'll toss a vote to @thewatcherking for now.

This is a cool idea, I think I'll vote for @darthjhawk, @valor_175, and @thewatcherking (I'm actually not a 100% sure on how the eligibility for voting works, but I'm guessing these 3 people should be fine since others voted for them).
