john is a guardian
guy has his alien powers

Have you read Emerald Twilight, & Zero Hour? Hal slaughtered GLs, absorbed the central battery on Oa, and later attempted, and succeeded to destroy and recreate the Universe, even beating down the Spectre in the process. He was stopped by PIS. This does not apply here. Hal would blink them out of existence.

"  The Guardians dispersed, in their attempt to empower Ganthet, and he was the one to forge Kyle Rayner's ring. So, Ganthet was the only one of the Guardians to survive, if that answers your question.

From what I remember, John helped to rebuild a planet and was granted the title of Master Builder, first human guardian and had gotten new powers.. can't really remember what they were.. Anyway, parallax Hal destroyed the Oa battery and with that John lost his powers.

At any case. Even though I don't have scans from Emerald Twilight (I believe I could find them, but that would not be the same thing), I do have scans from the entirety of Zero Hour, and all the feats Hal accomplished during its duration. Anyone wishes to see them, just ask.  "

I do know that John's wife was ressurected at that time. And when Hal destroyed the Oa Battery she died again. But i'm not sure if it was John that ressurected his wife or the guardians though. But I know he's not as powerful as Parallax Hal by any means. "
