I don't understand how anyone can think cage wins. Norman is stronger, faster, more agile and meaner. Cage might be more durable but that isn't a big deal.

Simple answer, he doesn't. Everyone are hyped because of the new series.

Yes, he was. By far as well. He was taking punches from Sandman in his gigantic form (the same punches shaked the entire skyscraper). Not to mention punches from Diamonback that sent Luke flying like 30ft away hurt him. A simple kick from Goblin sent Peter flying like 50ft away and had his impact smash a light pole.

Luke is becoming victim of netflix character lowballing. Goblin got thrown into a wall maybe 15 ft then the wall pulled down on him and he was basically done. He doesn't have the durability to tank luke cages strikes multiple times. Norman's final fight with spidey his strongest strike was a kick that sent spidey about ten feet into a brick wall. Cage has taken hits then send him crushed into the side of a van and launched 30 feet. Norman wins Rd 1 but he isnt strong enough to put cage down in Rd 2. No where near the striking feats to say he could do that. He has one kick in his first spiderman fight that was impressive but cage would brush it off like he did when he took a barrage of worse hits from diamondback. Show me a strike from goblin that tops diamondbacks hits

He didn't tank a damn thing, the rpg knocked him out and the building didn't fall on him or Connie. Just some of the debris.

More like had him knocked out cold for hours.

The rubble didn't fall on him. Luke was protected by the surrounding rubble. That is why the old Asian lady also survived the building collapsing.

@jayskee: I don't think the explosion is all that different from the one Cage survived. And Peter was still fit to fight right after that, much less K.Oed or dead even. Not to mention the beating he took from Norman afterwards only to get back up and perform better than he had in their last encounters.

Luke doesn't have skin like titanium either, at least not in the literal sense. Close range small arms gunfire still hurts him.

I really shouldn't have to explain the difference between different types of durability. And we're not debating the type of resistance that puts Luke above Peter, as that isn't at all relevant to this matchup.

@juiceboks: the explosions that Luke survived took down a buildings so I'd say it's different.

I understand the different types of durability and I also understand that Spider man has some good blunt force durability feats. I just think Luke is more durable based on what I've seen from them.

It took down part of the apartment complex immediately above it due to the loss of support on the ground floor, not the same as destroying an entire building.

I disagree, but regardless both Peter and Norman are definitely stronger than Luke and that's enough to pull a win here.

In both rounds, Norman has nothing to put Luke down. Luke was taking shots from Diamondback the crashed a truck and he was just fine. Also Norman has no fighting skill. Luke was a Marine, Boxer, and prison mama fighter.

@jayskee: He has sleeping gas in the first round and can simply choke him out in the second one. Norman was casually holding up a tram filled with kids with one arm, tore through Peter's webbing that was durable enough to support the dead weight of him and the tram and had the striking power to casually send Peter flying farther than Diamondback did Luke.

Norman doesn't need background training when he's much faster than Luke (fighting Peter well enough who can see the entire world in slow motion) and is significantly stronger. Luke is skilled for a regular person, but that skill wasn't enough to keep two inmates from beating him to near death without any damage to themselves. It's not helping him here.

Luke can't reliably tag him and isn't hitting hard enough to significantly hurt Norman. He can't win.

The MCU hype is real. Debating against it is an unnecessary headache.
