Meryn's only feat AFAIK is beating Syrio armed with a wooden sword off screen. I don't even watch AoS and I know Grant stomps.

@kolkent: You don't need fights against swordsmen to be the better fighter. That's like saying you have to train against boxers to learn how to defend a punch. People overplay it...the intricacies of a sword (edge alignment, wrist position, etc) exist as factors for the WIELDER. Defending against a sword is almost no different as defending against any other hand weapon weapon.

Also Ward has thrown a knife through modern level 4 plate. Meryn Trant get's blitzed, grappled and stabbed in the face.
