Lex Luthor convinces Luke that Superman is one with the Darkside. Gives him Kryptonite to install into his lightsabre and gives him intel on Superman. Can Luke do it?

Really? Who in the SW universe is even a challenge for Grand Master Luke if he can drop someone like Supes? Are there good stories about Luke at that level?

ABC logic doesn't work. Luke has the necessary tools to beat Superman. Most of his opponents share similar abilities at varying levels (like just about every dark sider he fights) or simply have ways to circumvent his powers (the Vong).

I don't know enough about Luke to say either way, if his TK is strong enough i think he can beat Supes. I don't think he has better fighting speed than Supes, though blitzing isn't exactly in character for Supes. Especially when it's a character he doesn't have any knowledge on. Unless someone can shift my opinion in either direction, i'll say half and half for both characters.
@Malonius: Not really. Superman isn't stupid; the instant Superman notices that Luke's blade is composed of kryptonite plasma (which should hardly be difficult to gather considering he can observe it with his enhanced vision or feel the effects of it), he would maintain his distance. Granted, Luke could telekinetically throw the lightsaber at him, but Superman could just fly away from it or blast it down. It's Luke's mental powers that are of greater consequence.
@Silver2467: Say that Superman speedblitzed Luke even though Superman doesn't usually speedblitz people whose durability he's not certain of. Is Grand Master Luke fast enough and strong enough to cut a speedblitzing Superman with a kryptonite lightsaber?
Who blows it apart and proceeds to annihilate Superman...

Fold Space, Lonize/TK abilities, Eletric Judgement, and his immense speed should be enough for him to defeat Supes. While Supes flies up Luke could just conjure a mental illusion.

Nice list, adding something like knocking down AT-AT's with as single push, moving so fast Leia couldn't see him etc. might help these guys. I can't be bothered to think of other things right now, I just got home and am still tired. Great list though.
It all depends on who get's the shoot in first. Personaly i think Superman has the better speed but people are free to argue. Sups can just fly back and up and use his HV in a cone in front of himself. Anyway this is why i don't like where SW has got to. Movies are better as they keep the power levels down. If i whant planets blowing up i read DC/Marvel.

Luke can move so fast trained Force-Sensitives (who have advanced precognition and accurate foresight) couldn't even see him.
@ShootingNova The DS does not count. I was refering to "magic" powers. The DS is a huge instalation the size of a small Moon. I have no problem with stuff like that. Also i don't care what he was dooing to other FS people. Superman has insane speed feats, like making to world around him freeze (oviously not people on his level of speed). Superman does not need to completly overwhelm him in speed to win, just be somewhat faster and get a shoot in first.

Luke can move fast enough for the world around him to seem to be frozen.... Luke still has Fold Space. Also, Nihilus and Sidious drained planets. So did Vitiate...
Luke can still get a shot in first, honestly he can just move faster than Superman and then slice with his blade, or use a few Force Powers.

Also, why is everyone banking on heat vision anyway? Characters far slower than Luke have evaded heat vision. This is also ignoring the fact that Luke's Deflection/Barrier powers have repelled turbolasers, which strike with gigatons of force, not to mention the fact that he can control temperatures and just decrease or eliminate the heat Superman projects.

So because they come from different universes, it becomes an impasse? In any case, the OP stated that Luke was tricked. For reasons unknown, it is safe to assume Luke fully believes this, despite his power. Even if he didn't have to kill Supes, he still has a variety of ways wherein he could KO him, or take him out. Superman has a limited number of abilities. Luke has a VAST array. Also, Supes doesn't really have speed feats that put him above Luke.

It was about who has better speed feats... I stated Sups he said Luke. That is the impasse. Also Superman can't even use the force. The op stated that guy lied to him, he states nothing about Luke going idiot mode and unable to figure things out. Also of course Superman has better speed feats. He is FTL... I don't think Luke has FTL or even lightspeed... Now if you whanted to stated reactions and the ability to use his speed in battle AND how Superman would restrict himself to not damage the planet that is a diferent thing. Superman has nanosecond(he can do something in a nanosecond) reactions times. From what i got from Silver so does Luke but i would really like someone posting some scans or whatever of it. Oh and before i forget nobody actualy posted ANY feats for Luke aside for stating he can do that. Hell if nothing else Superman can vibrate to make crep blow up or allow matter to pass trough him.. Can Luke do that? Now that is speed.
