GOW: Thor vs Zeus

R1 = No weapons (for both)

R2 = Zeus has Blade of Olympus, Thor standard gear

Hax / Magic allowed, no Power of Fear.

Zeus bodies. Ragnorok made it clear the Greek gods were on another level.

Good thread , in the previous poll Odin beat Zeus rather comfortably 28-14 , 2/3 gap between them , so this feels like natural progression.

Round 1 - Thor wins , Kratos confirms the attacks that a holding back base thor was throwing at him were as strong as any he has ever felt , directly proving Thor punches as hard or harder then Zeus/Baldur e.t.c.

There are many differences between Thor and his brother Baldur. Baldur fought wildly, his motivation to inflict pain. Thor is calmer his bloodlust is for the fight itself, not for the suffering it inflicts. The full force of his attack is as heavy as any I have felt. The Hammer, Mjölnir, only compounds his power... each blow echoes with the death. and destruction they have wrought together. He chose to end our fight prematurely. It is good for both of us that it did not reach its conclusion.

Round 2 - Inconclusive, once you reach the tiers of Zeus/Thor/GOW3 Kratos they can and will physically overpower the blade of Olympus which makes sense as Blade of Olympus is a mere concentration of Zeus's own godly might/power , will favour Thor simply because his base form is stronger , Thor has better AP feats on top as well as being implied to actually be even stevens with GOW5 Kratos by multiple characters and developers , so favouring Thor here too.

I actually think Thor would dominate a h2h fight but Zeus seems arguably the most powerful foe with the blade

Arguments can be made for either. Zeus because of his versatility, hax and status in the Olympian Hierarchy. Thor because of his raw power, statements and parity with Ragnarok Kratos. Leaning Thor though.

1. Zeus. Far too haxed and versatile. Thor's only advantage is his raw, physical strength.
2. Lol. With Blade of Olympus, Zeus can one-shot pretty much all of the Titans at once, while Thor had difficulties with some of the individual Giants, and was outright unable to beat Starkaðr. There are also Bruno's tweets further cementing that.

Thor = GOW5 Kratos > GOW4 Kratos > GOW3 Kratos > Zeus

Kratos in Ragnarok is even stronger, as he continuously trained for 3 years non-stop during Fimbulwinter. Zeus is a a one-shot fodder.

Definitely going to say Thor. Zeus was defeated by GOW 3 Kratos, and Norse Kratos is confirmed to be stronger than Greek Kratos. Since Fimbulwinter, Kratos has assumedly been training, and he was getting trounced by a somewhat holding back Thor (though Kratos himself was also holding back.) Eventually, an enraged Thor was able to give a good fight to EOG Ragnarok Kratos, who should be far stronger than his EOG Greek self.

Norse Kratos > Thor >= Enraged BOG Ragnarok Kratos > Holding back Kratos >= God of War 3 Kratos > Zeus
