The Ikon suit is the only reason Slade has a chance of lasting more.

Either way, Slade's adaptability and tactical mind play a huge role in a potential victory in this fight

Personally speaking, you think Gorgon can hurt him when he has the suit?

@brucerogers: Based on the single showing we've seen him in action with it, nothing short of the stone stare would harm him. However, being fired upon is the only thing that supports the suit being resistant to piercing damage (it's obviously massively durable to blunt force), so under the presumption that Gorgon has the Grasscutter instead of an average katana, it's conceivable that he could slash through.

It's all theoretical, though. Until we actually see Slade engage in combat regularly against fellow street level characters, it's difficult to ascertain. He's supposed to be fighting Superman in a few issues, so more light will be shed on the suit's capabilities.

@morpheus_: Thanks, that makes sense. I normally don't fancy Slade's chances against Tomi but I assumed this new suit could change things.

@brucerogers: Slade would last a while against Tomi due to his healing factor and overall toughness, but Gorgon shouldn't have much of an issue putting him down, armors/suits notwithstanding.

Gorgon. Deadpool is mostly a non-factor here. DP gets turned to stone immediately, but DS's helmet might confer some protection.

As explained by Priest (Theoretically) the Ikon Suit can't be penetrated or damaged unless it's a hit with great force behind it (by at least 50 tonners? 100 tonners). So I regard it unlikely that Gorgon would take him down excluding the stone stare because of its rare usage.
