Another mismatch, also against the rules, because DB vs anything not manga or anime isn't allowed. Goku solos the verse, ignore Kidsavage if he posts. @Frozen.

Born a pure-blooded Saiyan on Planet Vegeta, Son Goku is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball franchise, and is one of the last remaining members of his warrior race.

As a baby, Goku was sent to Earth prior to the destruction of Planet Vegeta in order to fulfill his mission and wipe out all life on the planet, conquering it. However, due to falling down a ravine and sustaining what would be a fatal injury to the average human, Goku lost all of his memories relating to his mission and his origins. He was soon found by the Martial Artist, Son Gohan, whom he took a liking to after some time. He decided to adopt Goku. Per Gohan's teachings, he grew up to become one of Earth's finest warriors, striving to take on powerful opponents, grow more powerful and protect the world from any danger that may threaten it or its citizens.

Goku almost always has an upbeat and cheerful personality and is always enticed by the thought of growing in strength and encountering powerful opponents. He has also demonstrated an extraordinary love for food and manages to take down incredibly large quantities of it in one sitting. Though his canon adaptations show him often letting his guard down and typically holding back his power, Xeno Goku, or Goku: Xeno, has shown that he is much more to-the-point and serious when it comes to getting the job done. It is a similar situation whenever Goku is enraged. For example, when Krillin was killed by Frieza, it drove Goku to the point of unlocking the Super Saiyan transformation which was once thought to be a mere legend. Despite this, Goku can still be merciful, as he was going to let Frieza live had he not tried to kill Goku immediately after.

Powers and Stats

Tier: 5-B. Higher via Transformations | High 3-A | Varies from 6-B to High 2-A | High 3-A. Low 2-C in Super Saiyan 4. At least Low 2-C, likely 2-C via Dragon Fist. 2-C via the Universal Spirit Bomb | 2-B | High 1-B | At least High 1-B, possibly 1-A | At least 2-B, possibly 2-A | High 1-C | 1-A

Name: Son Goku, Kakarot (Saiyan birth-name), Xeno Goku, Goku: Xeno, "Red Goku" (according to Fu), "Monkey" (according to... alotta people), "Mortal"/"Filthy Mortal" (according to Zamasu), etc.

Origin: Dragon Ball

Gender: Male

Age: Ageless

Classification: Saiyan God, Time Patroller

Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Toon Force, Fourth Wall Breaking and Plot Manipulation (Managed to break the manga panel as a child. Previously interacted with the narrator of Dragon Ball Super. Was entirely aware of Dragon Ball being fiction during his interactions with Tori-Bot. Battled against God Broly in Dragon Ball Z: The Real 4-D, and was capable of charging his Spirit Bomb using the energy of the real life audience, as well as fusing with a member of the audience, allowing the fusion "Youku" to one-shot Broly. Far superior to Frieza, who was shown to be a "threat" to our real world), Aura, Flight, Martial Arts Mastery, Ki Manipulation, Afterimage Creation, Light Manipulation (Via Solar Flare), Pressure Point Strikes, Magic (Via the Power Pole), Energy Manipulation, Energy Projection, Enhanced Senses, Teleportation, Dimensional Travel and Time Travel (Via Instant Transmission, can teleport into and out of dimensions and timelines), Telepathy, Telekinesis, Paralysis, Energy Absorption, Reactive Evolution, Reactive Power Level, Adaptation, Power Mimicry (Can mimic techniques, such as the Hakai, simply by witnessing them), Sealing (Via the "Evil Containment Wave", can seal entities in any physical container. Xeno Goku even demonstrated a sealing technique other than it), Higher-Dimensional Existence or Beyond-Dimensional Existence (Type 1), Immortality (Types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8) and Regeneration (True-Godly; Can utilize Zamasu’s Super Soul, which allowed the latter to regenerate from the erasure of both himself and the entire timeline he was in. It has also been stated that the Hakai, which can negate the High-Godly regeneration of different incarnations of Fusion Zamasu, would fail to kill him), Healing (Can heal his injuries and restore his stamina using Senzu Beans, as well as energy and aura capsules), Information Analysis, Summoning (Using "Shenron Mode", can summon Shenron or Super Shenron and utilise their powers. Using the Zen’ō button, can instantly summon Zen’ō to where ever he currently is and vice-versa. However, Zen’ō is non-combat applicable, since he counts as outside interference), which grants Reality Warping, Resurrection and Wish Granting, BFR (Via "Space-Time Transfer"), Invulnerability (Is surrounded by an aura that won't let any attack near him), Status Effect Inducement and Power Nullification (Can halve his opponent's speed and strength. In Ultra Instinct, nullified a powerful ki blast from Jiren), Air Manipulation (Via the Shadow Crane Strike and Tornado!), Statistics Amplification (Can use Kaioken up to x10,000,000), Fusionism (Using the Potara Earrings or the Metamoran Fusion Dance, Goku and a fusée, normally Vegeta, can fuse into one incredibly powerful warrior - Gogeta or Vegito. However, this is non-combat applicable and fusion typically lasts for a very short period of time, with the maximum being an hour as Vegito, or thirty minutes as Gogeta), Spatial Manipulation, Time Manipulation, Pocket Reality Manipulation, Portal Creation, Memory Manipulation, Mathematics Manipulation, Probability Manipulation and One Hit Kill (Via "Miracle CI", can greatly increase the chances of his attacks severely harming his opponent and, in turn, greatly decrease the chances of said attacks missing, being dodged, or being stopped. This can also function as a one-shot), Acausality Negation (Even though there are numerous characters who are transcendent to cause and effect, Goku is still capable of affecting said characters using abilities such as Miracle CI), likely Abstract Existence Negation (Type 2; Can harm and likely kill Demigra), Life Manipulation (Via "Draw", which is an ability used for healing its user and crushing the life energy that is stolen from the opponent), Existence Erasure, Soul Manipulation, Non-Physical Interaction and Attack Reflection Negation (In the Dragon Ball Super manga, he was capable of utilizing the Hakai, which targets the body and soul and erases them from existence entirely, also ignoring an opponent's ties to the concept of dimensions. This technique was also used by Beerus to erase the ghost of Dr. Mashirito and is capable of bypassing Goku's own Attack Reflection), Non-Corporeal (Time Breaker Xeno Goku is described as an incorporeal being), Self-Destruction (An ability of Mecha Goku's), Immortality Negation (Types 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 8) and Regeneration Negation (True-Godly; Via Light Slash; Can negate Time Breaker Zamasu's immortality and regeneration), Attack Reflection (Is capable of reflecting any physical, energy-based, reality-warping, soul-based, time-based, void-based, intangible or incorporeal attack, including much more, though the specifics of the rest are unknown), Danmaku, Indomitable Will, Will Empowerment, Instinctive Reaction, Durability Negation, Law Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2, possibly 1; Concept Erasure and Destruction), Quantum Manipulation, Fate Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation (Is capable of utilizing time paradoxes to completely erase his opponent, as well as their past), Resistance to: Electricity, Heat, Sleep Manipulation, Magic, Gravity Manipulation, Curse Manipulation, Mind Manipulation, Possession and Empathic Manipulation (As a god, Demigra's magic and mind control are completely ineffective against Goku. Said mind control managed to take over Vegeta and Broly, both of whom have resisted and broken out of mind control. In addition, he was completely unaffected by Demigra's evil influence and can resist being turned into a Time Breaker. Was unaffected by Ribrianne’s Light of Love, which makes her opponent fall in love with her), Resistance to: Soul Manipulation, Existence Erasure, Attack Reflection Negation and Absorption (Survived multiple attacks from Shroom, which directly targeted his soul and were stealing its energy. Survived a Hakai from God of Destruction Sidra, which was intended to defeat Frieza), Resistance to: Reality Warping, Power Nullification, Memory Manipulation, BFR, Law Manipulation, Conceptual Manipulation (Type 2, possibly 1), Time Manipulation, Time Stop, Void Manipulation, Space-Time Manipulation, Durability Negation, Life Manipulation, Thought Manipulation, Transmutation (Far superior to, and is one half of, Super Vegito during the Buu Saga, who was capable of overwhelming Buuhan despite the latter turning him into a piece of candy), Toon Force (Superior to Beerus, who was stated and shown to be completely unaffected by Arale's Toon Force, the latter of whom was capable of performing feats such as cutting the manga panel, farting to the moon, cracking the Sun and splitting the Earth, only for it to be perfectly fine in the next panel), Plot Manipulation (His 4th Wall Breaking is essentially treated as such), and Resistance & Immunity Negation (Is capable of resisting Probability Manipulation and Fate Manipulation able to negate Acausality, as well as Demigra's resistance-bypassing Mind Manipulation), Acausality (Types 1 and 5)

Attack Potency: Planet level+ (Fought and killed King Piccolo, who stated that he can destroy the world. Grew immensely more powerful and managed to fight against and defeat Piccolo Junior). Higher via Transformations | High Universe level (Was able to fight and later surpass Android 17 and 18, who possess infinite energy. Fought a suppressed Perfect Cell, who absorbed both of those androids and was stated to be capable of destroying the universe and to possess infinite power. As a Super Saiyan 3, he that he could defeat Fat Buu, who is capable of destroying the universe. Buu also forced the involvement of Shin, who only bothers with mortal affairs when the universe is endangered. Fought Kid Buu, who was stated to be able to destroy the universe) | Varies from Country level to High Multiverse level+ (Overpowered and defeated Piccolo, who could casually destroy countries. Countered the Devil Castle Cannon's beam, which was going to destroy the sun, with his Kamehameha. Defeated Doctor Wheelo, who is superior to Master Roshi. Defeated Turles, whose peak is comparable to 1st Form Frieza. As a False Super Saiyan, Goku pummeled Lord Slug, who was stated by King Kai to be superior to Frieza. Alongside Piccolo, fought against Super Garlic Junior, the creator of the Dead Zone, which is a void referred to using the term "chou jigen", which translates to "beyond higher dimensions"). As a Super Saiyan, fought and defeat Final Form Cooler, who is superior to Frieza and was implied by Takao Koyama to be above Lord Slug. Fought against and is somewhat comparable to Broly. As a Super Saiyan 3, surpassed Fat Janemba, who is superior to Fat Buu and was distorting the laws of the both the Mortal Universe and the Afterlife. Is comparable to Super Janemba. Battled and defeated Hirudegarn, who was stated on multiple occasions to be a Universal threat. As a Super Saiyan God, fought God of Destruction Beerus, who should be the most powerful Dragon Ball Z movie villain to date. As a Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan [Blue], Goku battled Golden Frieza, who should be superior to a suppressed Beerus, though would have never been able to beat him. | High Universe level (Far superior to himself in Dragon Ball Z. Toyed around with Cell and Frieza). Universe level+ in Super Saiyan 4 (As a Super Saiyan 4, rivals Super Vegito, who broke through Buuhan's barrier made using the chain reaction of alternate dimensions that were destroying the entire universe. Fought against Syn Shenron and Great Ape Baby, who are far superior to Majin Buu, who was stated to be a threat to the infinite-sized Universe 7, numerous times). At least Universe level+, likely Multi-Universe level via Dragon Fist (Managed to greatly damage Omega Shenron, whose negative energy was going to gradually destroy the universe and the Kaioshin realm. Omega should also be far superior to Janemba and Super Gogeta). Multi-Universe level via the Universal Spirit Bomb (Completely obliterated Omega Shenron) | Multiverse level (Absorbed the power of Super Saiyan God into his base form during his battle with Beerus, which was threatening to turn the entirety of Universe 7 into an empty vacuum of nothingness. Goku can currently stack all of his Super Saiyan transformations on top of his base form, meaning Super Saiyan alone would be enough to boost him to this tier. After the Future Trunks Saga, he was capable of battling and defeating Hit just in Super Saiyan Blue, when he previously required the power of Kaioken x10 stacked on top of it in order to briefly overpower him, meaning Goku's base form got at least 10x stronger due to training, warranting 2-B for his it as well. In Ultra Instinct, fought against Jiren, who was stated to be the mightiest foe in Dragon Ball history, putting him above Infinite Zamasu) | High Hyperverse level (Alongside the Future Warrior, fought against Demigra, who transcended the space-time of the multiverse, into the Crack of Time, after absorbing its very embodiment, Toki-Toki. The battle involving the three managed to collapse the Crack of Time itself, which exists outside of and beyond the multiverse, as well as the dimension of time. Alongside the Xenoverse 2 Future Warrior, fought Mira, who was capable of performing Giant Demon God Demigra's most impressive feats just in his base form prior to even absorbing Toki-Toki's egg and transforming, both of which massively boosted his power if not possibly as much as they did Demigra. Is significantly more powerful by the end of the DLC missions in his Ultra Instinct form) | At least High Hyperverse level, possibly Outerverse level (Just in his base form [or in Super Saiyan at most, as it is available in the mission should the player fail], Xeno Goku defeated Demigra; who transcended the entirety of Dragon Ball Heroes, which is comprised of a likely infinite-dimensional macrocosm; and reached the "Real World", a dimension which views Dragon Ball Heroes as a fictional videogame, in addition to requiring "Dimensional Transfers" and Dimensional/Space-Time Doors in order to interact with it. Is somewhat comparable to Mechikabura, who exists beyond the dimensional plane of the multiverse and is possibly unbounded by dimensional space as a whole. Defeated Chamel, who was bestowed power from Demigra and was casually collapsing the "Real World". As a Super Saiyan 3, one-shotted Gravy, who is superior to Demigra) | At least Multiverse level, possibly Multiverse level+ (Is the only one capable of making Beerus take a "mortal" seriously. Should be far superior to Demigra with Toki-Toki's Egg, who could destroy an amount of "Magniverses" unfathomable to any mortal or godly description) | High Complex Multiverse level (Can evenly fight Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo, who fought and defeated Earth, whom is a "superdimensional" being that exceeds space-time and is capable of creating an infinite number of 10th-dimensional universes) | Outerverse level (Comparable to the Jump Force hero, who defeated Prometheus - A Keyman of Umbras who utilizes the power of an Onyx Book to convey the events of all Jump Worlds as mere fictional stories to the real world, as well as alter them, existing in a rift where he watches over said Jump Worlds and the real world. As Prometheus essentially treats the Jump Worlds as fiction, even attempting to link them with the real world, he also views constructs like the "Real World" transcended by Demigra and The Void as such)

Speed: Massively Hypersonic (Dodged Piccolo's ki blasts, which were moving at such speeds). Higher via Transformations | Varies from Supersonic (Dodged a gunshot from Bulma when he was weaker and slower than he currently is) to Massively FTL+ (Managed to move at 2.45 Quadrillion times the speed of light just in his base form) | Massively FTL+ (Far faster than before, though the exact degree is currently unknown) | Infinite (Kept up with Jiren, who broke out of Hit's Cage of Time - a full on time freeze - leading to him being stated to transcend time itself. Far superior to Toppo, who warped the infinite-sized World of Void within a finite interval of time) | Immeasurable | At least Immeasurable, possibly Irrelevant | At least Massively FTL+, likely Immeasurable (Is capable of outrunning the concept of time itself. Is comparable to Demigra, who is several dimensions above what the Time Patrollers can comprehend. Kept up with Beerus and vastly blitzed devices which at least could previously measure a Planck instant of his battles, something which has proven to currently be an impossibility) | Immeasurable | Irrelevant (Comparable to the Jump Force Hero)

Lifting Strength: At least Class 100 (Just as a kid, he was able to push a massive boulder) | At least Class 10 (Easily lifted 40 Tons in Super Saiyan) | Unknown. At least Class 100 | Unknown. At least Class 10 | Unknown | Unknown | Unknown | Unknown | Unknown

Striking Strength: Planet Class+ | High Universal | Varies from Country Class to High Multiversal+ | High Universal. Universal+ in Super Saiyan 4. At least Universal+, likely Multi-Universal via Dragon Fist | Multiversal | High Hyperversal | At least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal | At least Multiversal, possibly Multiversal+ | High Complex Multiversal | Outerversal

Durability: Planet level+ (Took hits from King Piccolo and Piccolo Junior). Higher via Transformations | High Universe level | Varies from Country level to High Multiverse level+ | High Universe level. Universe level+ in Super Saiyan 4 (Survived attacks from Omega Shenron) | Multiverse level | High Hyperverse level | At least High Hyperverse level, possibly Outerverse level (Tanked numerous attacks from the likes of Demigra and Shroom, the latter of whom was capable of bodying Time Breaker Xeno Janemba and fighting equally with Super Saiyan Xeno Gogeta) | At least Multiverse level, possibly Multiverse level+ | High Complex Multiverse level | Outerverse level

Stamina: Godly (Can train non-stop for days on end and engage in long-lasting battles against numerous powerful opponents. Can casually handle the strain of Kaioken x10,000,000)

Range: Standard Melee Range. Planetary via Ki Blasts. Multi-Universal to at least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via hax | Standard Melee Range. High Universal via Ki Blasts. Multi-Universal to at least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via hax | Standard Melee Range. Varies from Hundreds of Kilometers to High Universal via Ki Blasts. Multi-Universal to at least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via hax | Standard Melee Range. High Universal via Ki Blasts. Multi-Universal to at least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via hax | Standard Melee Range. Multi-Universal via Ki Blasts. Multi-Universal to at least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via hax | Standard Melee Range. High Hyperversal via Ki Blasts. At least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via hax | Standard Melee Range. Extended Melee Range to Planetary via the Power Pole. At least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via Ki Blasts and hax | Standard Melee Range. Extended Melee Range to Planetary via the Power Pole. Multiversal via Ki Blasts. Multiversal+ via his 6th Sense. At least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via hax Standard Melee Range. Extended Melee Range to Planetary via the Power Pole. High Complex Multiversal via ki blasts and hax. At least High Hyperversal, possibly Outerversal via Shenron Mode | Standard Melee Range. Extended Melee Range to Planetary via the Power Pole. Outerversal via hax.

Standard Equipment: The Power Pole, Senzu Beans, the Zen'ō Button

Intelligence: Extraordinary Genius (Over only one night of actual studying, was able to follow Xeno Bulma's formulas and scientific talk despite it involving extreme Quantum, Temporal and Astral Physics; Fields of science extremely difficult even for the smartest of the Kaioshins to learn). Absolute Master in Martial Arts and Combat Tactics (Is the most combat-ready, experienced and intuitive Goku throughout an entire infinite Magniverse)

Weaknesses: Ultra Instinct is very draining, as it lasts for a short period of time and leaves Goku almost completely vulnerable after it runs out. However, given that this guy can handle Kaioken x10,000,000 casually, it is unlikely that this even matters.

Notable Attack/Techniques:

Ki Blast: The most basic form of energy wave.

Ki Mines: Goku lays down a small, invisible, blue sphere of ki that will explode upon contact with an enemy.

Invisible Eye Blast: Goku has the ability to shoot an invisible blast of ki out of his eyes. He uses this twice in the anime (once in the manga). The first (and only time in the manga) was when he used it to dig a hole in the Namekian ground to bury Vegeta's corpse in after he was killed by Frieza.

Destructo Disk: The user holds their hand into the air, conducting ki in the form of a razor-sharp disc, which is then hurled over and around the body to cut the target.

Destructo Disk Hexa Blade: Goku moves a Destructo Disk around in specified patterns, cutting up pieces of land or people in an instant.

Kamehameha: Goku's signature energy attack, even though it was invented by Master Roshi. Goku first learned this technique after witnessing Roshi use it to extinguish the fire on Fire Mountain. Goku has also invented numerous variations of the technique, including the Bending Kamehameha, Super Kamehameha, Kaioken Kamehameha, Double Kamehameha, Twin Dragon Shot, Angry Kamehameha, Flying Kamehameha, Instant Kamehameha, True Kamehameha, and Kamehameha Rebirth. He now gains a far more powerful version after mastering his godly ki called the God Kamehameha or Burst Kamehameha. He can also use them in his Super Saiyan forms.

Continuous Kamehameha: Goku releases a rapid barrage of energy blasts at his opponents, causing a massive accumulation of damage. Also called Super Energy Wave Volley.

Solar Flare: The user spreads and places their fingers on their foreheads, discharging a blinding flash of light.

Homing Energy Wave: A move where Goku fires a Ki Blast that targets his enemy. He used it against Pikkon.

Kaioken: Goku forms a red ki aura around his body, multiplying his power level, enhancing his strength and speed. The highest level of this attack used is x20... no, scratch that. x10,000,000. Goku does not use it much after achieving Super Saiyan. However, he has a technique where he combines the Kaioken with his Super Saiyan transformation: Super Kaioken. As of Dragon Ball Super, Goku once again used Kaioken in conjunction with Super Saiyan, but this time, Blue. This was against his fight with Hit and he used it a few times during the Tournament of Power.

Genki-Dama (Spirit Bomb): One of Goku's signature attacks in which he conducts the spirit energy of all nearby living organisms, forming a ball of power and size depending on the amount of harnessed ki energy. Its power was used against many powerful opponents such as Vegeta, Frieza, Dr. Wheelo, Turles, Lord Slug, Super Android 13, Kid Buu and Omega Shenron. It was also absorbed for increased strength in Super Android 13. It has a few variations: Large Spirit Bomb, Instant Spirit Bomb, and Super Spirit Bomb.

Shunkan Ido (Instant Transmission): Also called Instantaneous Transmission the user places their index and middle finger on their forehead, sensing a person that they can teleport to. In Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Heroes, this technique is shown to be capable of travelling into, out of and through time and dimensions.

Advanced Instant Transmission: Due to long-time usage of Instant Transmission, Goku has gained an extreme mastery of this ability. This is able to be used without the use of any hand gestures and only requires Goku knowing where he wants to go. This is able to be used in order to traverse through time.

Afterimage Technique: This technique is a short burst of extremely high speed, moving faster than the opponent can sense. This has the side effect of leaving a momentary "after image" until the opponent's senses adapt and realize their target has moved.

Dragon Throw: Goku's signature grapple throw. He uses an example of this move on Frieza when he grabbed his tail during their battle on Namek.

Full-Nelson: Executed by performing half nelsons with both arms, though Goku only used this once against Raditz.

Shadow Crane Strike: The user performs a crane pose, folds their arms across their chest, and then launches a blast of wind from their right hand. The most basic of all air bending techniques.

Hasshu-ken: A technique, used to counter Tien Shinhan's Four Witches Technique, in which Goku moves his two arms so fast that they each appear to be in four places at once, effectively giving him eight arms to use in combat.

Crazy Fist: This is a distraction move designed to confuse and taunt the opponent. Goku who acts like a dog or a monkey, barking and jumping around to scare his opponent. Goku uses this in reaction to Jackie Chun's (Master Roshi's alter-ego) use of the Drunken Fist.

Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper: An attack in which Goku delivers either a strong punch, a poke in the eyes, or an open palm strike.

Tornado!: Goku spins while rushing on the opponent to attack him/her. He used this once against Nam.

Mafuba (Evil Containment Wave): A sealing technique taught to Goku by Master Roshi for use against Future Zamasu and Goku Black. It is used to seal away evil entities into a container - the container can be anything, even an electric rice cooker. Xeno Goku, however, has demonstrated a sealing ability different to the Evil Containment Wave.

Divine Mafuba (Divine Evil Containment Wave): An advanced version of the regular Mafuba where Goku is able to seal anything inside its very own locked pocket dimension. The only time it was used, it was able to completely and utterly seal away a Time Breaker Alternate-Universe Xeno Goku permanently despite his non-corporeality. This ability is also the only known move to get Genesis Beerus to take a mortal seriously.

Ultra Instinct Movements: As Ultra Instinct -Sign-, Goku no longer has to even think to fight. He dodges flawlessly, though he has yet to learn how to attack flawlessly yet; he doesn't even need to think--he just does. This has proven to make him better at strategising since each one of his body parts thinks and moves independently. However, he initially didn't mastered the state, and could enter it willingly - instead, it activates when Goku is pushed to his limits. It is also harder for him to use this rendition of Ultra Instinct offensively, as he still has to think about the best method of attack, instead of simply intuiting it. This transformation is only temporary and it has a great strain on Goku's body. Even after the third usage of Ultra Instinct -Sign-, Goku was still not able to fully utilize attack and defense, which prevented Goku from fighting on an equal playing field with Jiren. However, by giving into pure impulse and the heat which previously was his limit, Goku was finally able to completely break through his limits and reach past the state of the gods, something that not even Beerus has been able to do. In so doing, Goku reached the true Ultra Instinct form, with his hair and eyebrows matching his intense silver stare, and a great stream of white-purple energy erupting from his body. In this form, where he has mastered both instinctual attack and defense, he was easily able to speed-blitz and injure Jiren, as well as nullify a full-powered strike meant to incapacitate him.

Hakai: In the manga, Goku has demonstrated that he knows the Hakai - A technique which directly targets the opponent's soul and physical body, erasing them from existence. This was even shown working on non-physical entities, such as the ghost of Dr. Mashirito.

Shenron mode: In Dragon Ball Heroes, Goku can call upon Shenron or Super Shenron and gain their powers for use in-combat.

Light Slash: An attack made of "Temporal" light, it is able to negate the Immortality and Regeneration of Time Breaker Zamasu (Who has Mid-Godly and Type 8). Another side-effect is the ability to Paradox someone out of existence; erasing their past.

Photonic Power Pole: Goku is able to manipulate space itself in order to enhance his Power Pole. As the power pole is completely and utterly indestructible even at his range of Power, he's able to enhance it to perform supernatural feats. By applying dangerous "God Photons" onto it, Goku is able to produce a "Blade" of energy from the Pole and slice through any and all things. This has been shown to be able to seriously harm the concept of Death; almost erasing it before King Kai told him to cease.

6th Sense: An ability Goku mysteriously gained one day; it allows Goku to see next moves of his opponent even if there's no future to look at, get a general grasp of his opponent's moves and sense people through impossible barriers.

Ultimate Mirror: An extremely advanced godly technique primarily utilised by Whis. After several grueling millennia in a more advanced version of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku is able to attain this ability. This technique has the ultimate ability to reflect most attacks; Physical, Ki-Based, Reality-Based, Soul-Based, Time-Based, Void-Based, Intangible or Non-Corporeal, and much more with the only known attacks to bypass this being the Hakai of Gods of Destruction. This technique was apparently invented by the Grand Priest.

Alex (Humanity's Collective Consciousness) Alex's profile (This was 2-B DBG Xeno Goku vs SAVE File No. 2 Alex starting at 8-C, with the hax of both being restricted to the level of a 1-A reality and speed was equalized)The following article is designed to describe the raw power output of Goku from Dragon Ball Heros. The Goku we're using is Xeno Goku, one of the strongest Gokus to day. But how strong is he? The truth is, in order to understand how strong Xeno Goku is, would imply that you must understand where Xeno Goku comes from, in addition to the Dragonball lore. For example; you cannot say you can comprehend Thought Robot Superman's power, without first understanding HOW BIG, the DC universe is. Although eastern shonen aren't as complex and in depth as Grant Morrison when describing their series, we may have been undermining Goku's raw power, for a long time. I will attempt to bring every piece of information into the table, and establish the possibilities for his power scale. The end result may seem crazy for most viewers; but after all they do only have DBZ Goku SSJ3 at Multi-Solar System...which was outlandish. Again we're using the vs battle wiki definition and a few other interpretations to gain our product. This is a long read. But I don't want to completely appeal to reality or other String THEORIES to establish a product...so~

And now that the introduction is out of the way, lets begin

To begin let us start off with the lore of Dragon Ball's cosmology, and showcasing some feats and what they mean. This can be found here ! As shown in the link below, Universe 7's macrocosm is a (low) multiverse sized structure. And for the record (Low Multiverse = Multi-Universe). Yes, universes are separate away from each other:

In addition, destructive capacity = / = range of motion = / = dimensional being.

A.BEING

An Example of a 4th dimensional being/ who doesn't have a 3 dimensional body, but rather a 4th dimensional abstract existence within the entire timeline + 3D sp

Beat SSG + Goku SSJB > Broly, but Xeno Goku can match Blue Goku:

IF, the real world is interpreted under the context of our world. It would be either:

7th to 8th dimensional World, just being Infinitely Higher than the DBH World.

10th Dimensional, assuming our world follows this algorithm.

(High Ball) 12-Dimensional via M-theory, asserting our real world was in threat of being destroyed out of existence.

Understand, the vs battle algorithm does not specified specific conditions to be 7th dimensional and higher. You just need evidence of higher dimensions, and infinite increases beyond the dimension below. We've so far objectively established a possible 7th Dimensional Demigra from DBH, whom was defeated by Xeno Goku in (base alone).

My overall conclusion can go in 3 directions. Either the fourth wall awareness and connection to the real world is 12th dimensional- going beyond conventional fiction- or Simply a less speculated hypothesis, and go by them being 7th-(low) 8th dimensional.

Again, we always have the argument that Demigra is beyond all space- and all time. We know they can exist within the space- of no existence, but again:

VERDICT!

The presentation here is to establish that Dragon Ball Heros with all its continuity, lore, and expansion of a infinite Multiverse/Xenoverse+ Real World Hierarchy.

Has been shown time, and time again to be above Space-Time, and exist beyond higher dimensions within the Dragon Ball world and Real World Hierarchy. There's a lot of controversy with Dragon Ball Heros (Due to most people not actually playing the game, let alone reading the Daizenshuu volumes and more; as shown before, most didn't realize the Macrocosm was as big as it was).

Destructive Capacity:

[Mid-Park]- 7th Dimensional to 8th Dimensional+ (Possibly higher)

[High-Ball]- 10 [High Complex Multiversal] or 12 Dimensional Hyperversal via defeating God Broly, whom was above Demigra potentially+ more...High end interpretation- could destroy our world as audience outside of the fictional barriers of Dragon Ball Heros + One Piece.

This is likely accurate based on Super-String Theory, Temporal Dimensional actions + Spatial existences with our world.

30+ Years of continuity and lore being composited to create this mess of a fun yet confusing series.~

A. 7D-12D Destructive Capacity

B. Extradimensional Being- but represented through a 3D body.

C. Outerversal Range of Motion (Can move outside of existence)

In Ultra Instinct, fought against Jiren, who was stated to be the mightiest foe in Dragon Ball history, putting him above Infinite Zamasu) | High Hyperverse level (Alongside the Future Warrior, fought againstDemigra, who transcended the space-time of the multiverse, into the Crack of Time, after absorbing its very embodiment, Toki-Toki.

He dodges flawlessly, though he has yet to learn how to attack flawlessly yet; he doesn't even need to think—he just does.

There's not a lot of topics that I feel strongly enough to actually argue about, but universal to multiversal DMC is one of them.

Just use SMT Dante, I promise it's much simpler that way.

Ignoring the vsbw wank, Goku taps Dante and he disintegrates. Dante is no where near the strength & speed of Goku.

Also this thread will get locked cause of their Dragon Ball rule, I think they should overturn the rule and allow DB characters to fight against other characters from other mediums, but I doubt the mods will.

@noctiscaelum: I think so too, but that rule might be in place because there are a lot of very passionate comics and DB fans, just naming that as one example, who will just kill each other in the replies over certain thread topics.

People do that anyway on here, but the moderators probably think allowing DB vs more stuff will make it spiral out of control. I'd like to see that rule lifted, but it might not be realistic unless the userbase proves they can be civil in their discussions .. which they can't.

@kidsavage21: I know you try very hard in these threads sometimes, but I'm going to try to be a little kinder about what three different people are trying to say to you:

Universal/multiversal DMC is not accepted here. It's just not; VSWiki, to my knowledge, is the only board that fully accepts and pushes that understanding of the series. If you want to show it off or argue DMC Dante can beat Goku, you would be better off signing up to that site if you haven't already and saying it over there.

It is not accepted here. There are a couple of people who will agree with you, there always will be, but the majority is going to shoot you down every time and you're not going to change their minds by copy/pasting the same information repeatedly.

I promise that the way to go here on CV is just to use SMT Dante. It's easier.

No Caption Provided

I post a lot of feats for Dante 3 times, go read it, here's is the lore of Devil May Cry, creds: Devil May Cry: Feats Summarized and Explained

1: The Legendary Conflict

Everyone who follows DMC knows of the basic lore that sets the scene for the series. Mundus, wanting to govern the Human World and the Demon World as one, prepares to merge them together. Just as humanity is about to fall from Demon assault, Sparda, siding with humanity, appears and then proceeds to defeat and seal Mundus, before going on to separate the Human World and the Demon World, and then sealing the latter to prevent such an event from ever occurring again.

Under the interpretation I will propose, this would entail on two separate Universal feats already. One feat attributed to Mundus, for merging the Human World and the Demon World together, and Sparda, for separating them again and then sealing the Demon World. And there are plenty of scans that support my point of view strongly, but before I go on to mention those scans, I have to address the arguments that have been put forth against the feat specifically on the original Devil May Cry downgrade thread, by our excellent Matthew Schroeder.

In order to make this easier, I will divide this in two sections - one where I will analyze the counter-arguments proposed against the feat, and one where I will give my own analysis, dissecting the feat with scans.

Analysis of the Counter Arguments

Our currently accepted theory for the invasion of the Human World is that Mundus and the Devil Army used the Temen-ni-Gru, a huge tower in the Human World serving as a gateway to the Demon World, in order to traverse between both worlds and invade the Human World. Under this point of view then, Mundus would have utilized this portal before being beaten by Sparda and sealed. Sparda’s feat would be less of a literal universal separation, but more of Sparda merely sealing a portal.

Are the scans used to justify this satisfying? Take a look yourself.

> Twenty years ago, Mundus the emperor of the underworld resurrected. (...) His powers were sealed by Sparda, he's attempting to take control of the human world again. He has been preparing to open the gate on Mallet Island."

The scan above is the first to be presented in this thread, being a quote from Trish on Devil May Cry 1, recounting that Mundus’s powers had been sealed by Sparda and that’s he attempting to take control of the Human World, preparing to open the gate on Mallet Island.

Notice any discrepancies with this scan? If we are supposed to justify Mundus’s usage of the Temen-ni-Gru, then the very first scan already fails on a basic technical level, as the Temen-ni-Gru, as a tower, had been sealed underground by Sparda, and was not located on Mallet Island, thus making it impossible for Mundus to try to emerge into the Human World by using such a gate; a gate that we, as the player, see being opened with our eyes at the end of the game, when Mundus rips it open and emerges from it in order to try to fight Dante one last time, having decidedly nothing to do with a huge tower located far from Mallet Island and sealed underground. Therefore, this scan actually succeeds in demolishing the argument it is trying to support right away.

Mundus using the Temen ni Gru for travel can be safely dismissed based on the above. Not only that, an important point and distinction to be made here is the fact that the Temen ni Gru was built by humans who worshipped demons and wanted their power. It was not built by demons, nor controlled by them. Meanwhile, the scans regarding Mundus fusing the realms explicitly notes that he does so through his own power, even if we attempt to pretend that he merely creates gateways bridging both worlds. So how are we supposed to reconcile Mundus using a tower created by humans who were possessed with greed for demonic power in very ancient times, with scans such as "Mundus planned to break the barrier between darkness and light, uniting them together once more", "Mundus wanted to reunite the worlds into one, exactly as they were in the past and etc?

Not only that, the Temen ni Gru is not the only portal connecting the Human World and the Demon World on the Devil May Cry franchise, nor the only one which had been sealed by Sparda. On Devil May Cry 4, we’re introduced to the Hell Gate at Fortuna Island, a gate sealed using Yamato, also by Sparda himself. We have, aside from Fortuna’s Hell Gate, the portal that Arius opens with his ritual, in order to travel to the Demon World, unseal Argosax and absorb his energy, and etcetera. So the Temen ni Gru is far from the only gate between the two worlds in the series. In fact, even human sorcerers in the series are capable of creating portals between the worlds with some effort, such as revealed by DMC4, where Agnus, one of the sorcerers of the Order of the Sword, constantly creates gateways to the demon world in order to capture demons and absorb their energy for the Order's goal (which is to power up the Savior, a statue of Sparda). So the very idea of Mundus needing to utilize a tower created by humans is contradictory to the series in every level. Which, as I proved above without question, he doesn't, since he showed the ability to casually create portals by himself while he was dying after being pretty much vaporized by Dante, and he showed the ability to send minions to our realm casually even while his powers were sealed.

Either way, all across the board - one might then say that my points above would still suggest that Mundus was going to use another portal to dominate the Human World and that it still debunks him merging the Human World and the Demon World in the literal sense, but this too is false. Note again that Trish immediately notes that Mundus's powers were sealed by Sparda, as anyone who has played the game can discern. Mundus was bound by a magical vault, unable to do anything but send projections of himself to the Human World or soldiers. Mundus only recovers his full power and is fully unsealed at the end of the game, when he breaks out of the vault surrounding him and emerges from the statue into his Godly Form. And then promptly has his ass kicked by Dante, who awakens the power of Sparda to fight Mundus.

And about the end of DMC1, where a full-power Mundus comes through a portal and proclaims that the "gateway has been opened"?. As anyone who watches the full scene can discern, Mundus was mindlessly pursuing Dante, angered at having been defeated - and having most of his powers completely exhausted and his lower half vaporized - in their big fight. He was not actually trying to invade the Human World on that scene. So that's yet another point that makes no sense to be used to try and disprove his feat.

Continuing further:

This line could be indeed referring to either the Temen ni Gru or the Hell Gate on Fortuna Island, both of which were sealed using swords owned by Sparda, or many other portals that Sparda himself sealed. The point is, lines like this by themselves do not prove that much regarding Mundus requiring those portals, specifically, to travel by himself while his power is unsealed. All of those are merely general statements about Sparda closing a portal after defeating Mundus. In no way do they detail what happened inbetween.

Tell me; even if Mundus did need portals to travel around, how would that disprove him to be a Reality Warper capable of merging universes? The only way anyone, be their Attack Potency 8-C or 2-C or higher, could travel between universes would be with cross-dimensional Teleportation, something that Mundus hasn’t shown (or might have shown, depending on your interpretation of the infamous DMC1 fight), or by the usage of portals, and in fact, one could expect that a character capable of dimensional merging would be far more likely to use portals to travel between these two dimensions since they could open those rifts quite easily by themselves, without any need for preparation time, just through their own spatial manipulation and reality warping.

Why the Feat(s) are Valid

Having put up my reasoning for why I believe the scans used against this feat aren’t valid, I will now present and explain the many scans I obtained during my long research to create this blog, which are the reason why I do believe the feat involves the realms being literally fused together by Mundus, as opposed to a mere "portal creation" ordeal.

First of all, we have the official Lore for Mundus on the canon Devil May Cry 1 guidebook, which mentions, among other things, Mundus planning to break through the veil separating both worlds, and uniting them together:

And, once again, the Devil May Cry 3 manga, recounting the same event, tells us of Mundus’s plan, with added context, since the previous page tells us about how the Human World came into existence, being born from the energy of the Demon World, and then being separated from it a long, long time ago (something I will talk about later), with Mundus wanting to undo the separation and rule them as one again:

The official translation, however, is a little bit off here. After going out to seek a Professional Japanese translator for a literal and non-localized word-for-word translation, this ended up being the translation I was offered. Here is the Japanese raw I asked to be translated for any Japanese speakers reading the blog to give their potential input as well.

  • "The king who appeared in the kingdom of darkness said: "What is wrong with reuniting two worlds, that were once one?". From then on, the darkness tried to cover up the light, while the light struggled and tried to escape."

This gives extra emphasis to the fact that this was a literal merger of two worlds by Mundus. And Devil May Cry 4 just continues further:

With the added context provided by the DMC1 guidebook, of Mundus planning to break the barrier separating both worlds and then uniting them together, the second statement from the DMC3 manga, where the context is focused on the universe being literally separated in two before it shifts to Mundus wanting to rule them as one again by reuniting them, and then Devil May Cry 4 reaffirming such a thing, all the evidence does indeed paint the feat on a literal Universal Merging manner. But those three scans are far from being the only ones suggesting this interpretation to be the case.

The recently Devil May Cry 5 History goes on to provide much evidence in favor of this interpretation of events. It reaffirms the basic lore; Sparda defeats Mundus, and seals the Demon World away. Then it skips ahead, and tells us the following:

We are told that the Sparda placed on the Underworld is starting to weaken, and, as a result, Mundus sends his minions after Sparda’s wife, or, as described in the DMC1 guidebook, he dispatches them in our reality

If this “seal” were merely a reference to the Temen ni Gru or the Hell Gates or any other human-made portal, then it would make absolutely no sense for Mundus to be able to send his minions into our own reality, as both of those portals are still sealed by the time of Devil May Cry 3 or 1. In fact, the Devil May Cry 3 manga and game both takes place nearly ten years after Mundus sends his minions to kill Dante's mother, and it's precisely on the manga that Arkham and Vergil start to undo the seals put by Sparda on the demonic tower in order to try and travel to the Demon World.

History of DMC only continues further:

This statement is made in regards to the plot of Devil May Cry 3, and it by itself debunks any chance of the seal talked about here being the Temen-ni-Gru, the aforementioned tower, or any other portal. Arkham and Vergil unsealed and opened the Temen-ni-Gru in order to travel to the demon realm and obtain Sparda’s power for themselves. When Arkham fulfilled his goal and temporarily obtained the power of the Legendary Dark Knight and assumed his power, the Temen-ni-Gru had already been unsealed and opened. If said “seal on the Underworld” referred to the Temen-ni-Gru, then why would obtaining Sparda’s power weaken the Temen-ni-Gru’s seal, when Sparda’s power was only obtained after it had already been completely unsealed, let alone merely "weakened"? This statement cements that said seal is a literal seal encasing the Underworld, instead of being a mere portal that Sparda closed. And it literally can't be reconciled with the idea of a gateway being sealed. Even if you assume that by "Sparda's power", it is talking about the amulets that require those with Sparda's blood running through their veins to be activated - said amulets are alsoonly used by Arkham after the Temen ni Gru is unsealed and after he has traveled to the Underworld to unlock Sparda's power.

Rather, the Temen-ni-Gru, and all other portals we see in the series, are actually portals that Sparda sealed after separating the Demon World and sealing it off, in order to prevent the remnants of Mundus's army and other rogue Demons to use the opportunity born out of the ingenuity and lack of knowledge of the human worshippers to travel between both worlds. This idea is not a mere guess or headcanon, as the Devil May Cry 3 manga heavily implies it to be the case:

As I said before, the Temen-ni-Gru was built by humans who desired the power of demons and revered evil, and as a result built a tower that reached into the demon realm.

Touching on what I said earlier, among other things that should be common sense when you take this topic into account is the following contention:

  • Under the conception that the Demon World in itself is magically sealed in its entirety, then said seal weakening would justify lower Demons, who are weak enough that they can pass in-between the cracks in the seal, being able to travel between both worlds with Mundus’s aid. Under the conception that only the portal leading to the Demon World is sealed, then the Demons being able to travel to the Human World would be completely impossible and would cause a plothole, as they’d be forced to travel through a sealed portal. Situations like the Seven Sin lower demons, who become capable of materializing into our world using mediums such as sand, fluids, and etc. once Sparda’s seal starts to weaken], would be reasonable under the assumption that the Demon World is sealed, but not under the assumption of “Sparda shut a few portals and nothing else”. Under the latter assumption, those Demons would still be able materialize in the Human World freely regardless of the Temen-ni-Gru being sealed or not, but they in fact are not able to materialize in our world up until the seal that Sparda put on the Demon World starts to weaken and allows them, weak enough that the seal is not able to focus on them, to phase through.

Likewise, Dante using the Philosopher’s Stone to create a hole leading into the Demon Wold on Devil May Cry 1 is described as him “unsealing the Underworld”. If Sparda had only shut the handful of portals leading directly into the Underworld 2,000 years ago, then Dante using a completely unrelated item to create a portal that Sparda did not seal would not be described as him “unsealing the Underworld”. However, under the assumption that Sparda put a seal binding the entirety of the Demon World after separating it from the Human World, the statement makes perfect sense, as anything that overrode the seal and created a pathway to the Demon World would qualify as removing Sparda's seal on a local scale. So once again, the lore given to us is completely contradictory with the former assumption.

The Devil May Cry 5: Before the Nightmare novel has a passage mentioning that rifts leading directly into the Demon World appear frequently on small port cities, such as Dumary Island and Fortuna Island, due to the barrier separating the worlds being at its weakest there - this being most likely a result of the seal itself losing strength overall. This is, once again, completely inconsistent with Sparda only taking his time to seal the Temen-ni-Gru and the Hell Gate, as those are specific portals, while it is consistent with the interpretation that Sparda sealed the entire Demon World away, in order to prevent demons from passing into our world at any given point in the Demon World, and with this seal slowly losing strength, it resulting on rifts opening randomly on random locations. It also mentions an interesting tidbit - when Demons enter the Human World, they transfer their consciousness to another body. If they want to enter the Human World with their true powers and bodies, then the portal needs to be massive and stable enough to handle them. This is relevant to my next point.

Which is; the Devil May Cry 2 guidebook recounts the lore once again on Mundus’s plans to invade the Human World through Mallet Island on Devil May Cry 1. It reveals to us that Mundus dispatched his lieutenants to prepare a portal for him so he could pass through, something that had already been implied heavily by both the game itself and the DMC1 guidebook:

Let’s recall the passage on the Devil May Cry 5 history video regarding the seal:

And then, let’s take another excerpt of the screenshotted I posted earlier, regarding Mundus on the DMC1 guidebook:

Taking all lore information we’ve listed so far together, then we can easily come up with how and why Mundus planned to use the gateway on Mallet Island to return.

Mundus and the rest of the Demon World were sealed by Sparda. With the seal weakening, Mundus manages to send minions to the Human World personally, due to them and other lower Demons being sufficiently lower in energy in comparison to himself that they could phase through the cracks in the seal. Mundus himself, however, is still affected by seal and has not made a full recovery yet (this is stated to be the case by Trish and by Vergil on the Devil May Cry 5 prequel), and would thus be unable to emerge on the Human World by himself or to use his powers due to the fact he is too powerful, only being capable of sending avatars nowhere near his full power through the seal (as shown on the Griffon fight, where Mundus emerges on the island through an avatar made of red clouds). Thus, he sends his lieutenants to Mallet Island, which is stated to be the closest island to the Underworld and thus the seal is even weaker there, to prepare a complex ritual to open a gate that is large enough and stable enough to support his passage through, since a normal portal wouldn't be stable enough to handle his passage through (as blatantly stated on DMC5: Before the Nightmare), and during this process, Sparda’s seal on him and the rest of the Demon World at large continues to weaken for an unknown reason. This ritual was being done throughout the years, but due to Mundus's recovery being sped up, it ended up being ultimately unnecessary.

Mundus’s situation can be compared to Argosax’s situation on Devil May Cry 2 (if you want to skip ahead to know more, see here). Upon the unsealing of the Arcana, the artifacts used to seal off his power, Argosax’s seal starts to weaken, which is why the Demon World and the Human World begin to merge with each other. Then Arius’s final ritual manages to unseal Argosax and opens a portal connecting the Human World and the Demon World, large enough that he may pass through, absorb Argosax’s power and return (due to him messing up the ritual, the portal ends up being unstable, but you get the point).

Another extremely telling scan comes, once more, from Devil May Cry 5, specifically when it talks about the story behind the Qliphoth tree and how it functions, which blatantly reveals to us what happened to prevent the Qliphoth from ever bearing fruit again:

So, the Qliphoth uses human blood in order to produce its fruits. Mundus consumes one of the fruits and rises to become the King of the Demon World. Sparda defeats him, and separates the Human World and the Demon World, making the tree never bear fruit again. Then, Urizen uses Yamato to summon the Qliphoth to the Human World, leading to the tree appearing on the surface and starting to produce another fruit by using humans to feed itself. We know that, in the context of DMC, the border would refer to the seal that Sparda placed. The Before the Nightmare novel heavily implies as much, and the DMC5 History recap further implies it, since the seal starts to weaken and, as a result, demons can phase through the barrier between worlds and emerge in our reality.

Another hard-hitting scan, probably among the most telling when you read it in-context, proving this feat is the following one, originated from the Devil May Cry 3 Devil Lair scanlation, where it is stated by Arkham that the "world that Sparda saved was still unstable":

First of all, while we do tend to favor the official translation of the manga when it comes to Devil May Cry, and the official translation has a vastly different translation in this panel, there are several reasons to believe the official translation is less accurate in this particular panel - such as the fact that the kanji for "2,000 years", "unstable" and the kanji for Sparda's name can be seen on the Japanese Raw for this panel, which are all omitted on the Official Translation but not on Devil's Lair version. Therefore, in this particular panel, Devil's Lair translation is clearly more literal.

So, how exactly does this imply that Mundus's feat is legitimate, right? I will get to that later when I explain a different feat where the same scan is relevant (more specifically explained on Section 4 if you want to jump ahead), since it'd be more fitting there, and it ties in with what I will reveal on that section.

Third, you might be thinking that this scan would actually be implying that Sparda did not literally seal the Demon World, but rather the portal leading to it (the Temen-ni-Gru), but that's not actually the case. Recall the scan I linked from the DMC5 history video, about Arkham, where it states that unlocking Sparda's power through his sword would weaken the seal on the underworld? This ties directly with that. This is because Sparda split his power and placed it in three separate swords - Yamato, Rebellion, and the Force Edge, as revealed by DMC5. After Sparda separated the worlds and began sealing the Demon World, he also sealed the Temen-ni-Gru and hid the Force Edge on the other side of the sealed portal. The Force Edge ensures that the seal on the underworld remains active and powerful, and unlocking its power threatens its stability, just like the DMC5 video stated.

Another scan from the Devil May Cry 3 manga relevant to the discussion is the following scan:

The final goal was to unlock the Temen-ni-Gru, obtain the Force Edge sealed on the other side and thus obtain Sparda's power. Vergil, who made this statement, was specifically obsesssed with obtaining his father's power and unlocking his true heritage throughout DMC3, even betraying his family to do so, so that is the context behind this, and this scan is self-explanatory about what happens if Vergil accomplishes his goal and unlocks Sparda's power. Our world would be literally consumed and merged into the demon world.

And, finally, I conclude this section with the following observation:

In the Devil May Cry: Volume 2 novel, where Dante and Beryl are teleported to a parallel universe where the timeline has gone differently and Sparda was betrayed by the humans, a relatively similar event to the fusion of the worlds was shown to have happened, where the Human World ended up being corrupted and completely distorted by demonic influence, becoming pretty much another version of the Demon World. The reason why it hasn't been merged completely together with the demon realm might have something to do with the remaining demons and humans who still fight for freedom.

Upon arriving in the parallel version of the Human World, Dante immediately notes that it is desolate and the atmosphere is extremely similar to that of the Demon World, even suspecting that it was some sort of mix between the two:

  • "This place is bizarre. There's so much malice in the air that I'm practically breathing it in, he thought. Dante crashed through a series of brittle branches and landed heavily on the ground with a thud. The earth beneath his feet felt ordinary enough. The heat and stench were noticeable, but not dangerous. Still, Dante's senses had shifted into overdrive. Something was wrong. Something unnatural. Dante peered through the languid air to take in his surroundings. The desolate landscape was somehow not quite right, as if the trees didn't come out of the ground at the correct angle. He had landed in the forest that he'd spied from the cave. The overgrown plants made Dante uncomfortable. He was no botanist, but the vegetation seemed abnormal. The hazy twilight air made it difficult to see far, and Dante had already lost sight of the cave. The forest carried with it a familiar and oppressive atmosphere. He had sensed something similar not too long before-a palpable something that gnawed at the soul. Gilver felt like this; the demon world. Yet he doubted he and Beryl were in the Underworld. There was no sense of magic underpinning the geography. In fact, magic was rather conspicuous in its absence. Dante suspected he was in a halfway place, a realm neither human nor demon." (p. 103)

And later on, Shadow confirms that such a place used to be the Human World, but it had been corrupted and distorted beyond recognition, with some weak demonic magic just strong enough to let demons assume their true, native states as if they were in the Demon World:

  • " "This place was originally the human world. It's been corrupted beyond recognition now. A weak current of magic runs through it. But it's strong enough for us to resume our native forms" (p. 125)

In conclusion, this leads to two new feats:

  • Mundus emerges and fuses the Human World and the Demon World
  • Sparda defeats him and separates them, sealing off the Demon World

2: After the Battle with Mundus

The next one I will propose is a feat displayed after Dante beats Mundus, and after the infamous “dimension” scene. It is much shorter and straightforward, so I will deal with it all in the same section.

Upon Mundus’s defeat at Dante’s hands, the Demon World begins to collapse. This is shown not only by our own eyesight, but it is also stated to happening by both the DMC1 Bradygames guidebook, and by the DMC4 Prima guidebook, both of which have heavy input from the developer team.

The main counterpoint that some people use against this feat is the fact that the Demon World is fine and intact in other games. However, the Demon World was collapsing while a weakened and dying Mundus tried to drag himself off the ground, but Mundus did not die - Dante sealed him just after he escaped the Demon World, which would have prevented it from collapsing, since he did not actually die. Sparda also sealed Mundus away back in their legendary battle, which is why the Underworld still existed after Mundus’s demise.

Another counter that some people use against the legitimacy of this feat (including our very own Matthew) is the fact that Kamiya rejected its legitimacy on Twitter. However, Kamiya was only involved with the creation of Devil May Cry 1, and after that, Itsuno took the series’s reins. Therefore, Kamiya has no authority to reject information given to us on Devil May Cry 4, and his word here is automatically discarded by default.

Since this would showcase Mundus as being able to stabilize and maintain the existence universe that is much larger in size than our own passively, it is by default a 3-A feat.

3: Alternate Universe

This is a feat from Void Mundus that, as far as I’m aware, hasn’t been noticed and has never been discussed yet, from the Volume 2 novel.

In the novel, Mundus is shown to be the embodiment of a void. Said void explodes upon his death. The void that Void Mundus embodied was stated to be the nexus of all of the demonic energy in the Underworld, as well as its heart, with it intensifying extremely the more Dante and co. approached it.

The reason why this feat is impressive is because the demonic energy contained within the Underworld has two 3-A feats in and out of itself. The first one is the fact that our universe was created from the dark energy contained in the Demon World. The second is the fact that, down the line, the Demon World’s energy was distorting our universe upon its approach by Argosax’s hands on Devil May Cry 2.

To exemplify that the two concepts are the same, it is mentioned in the novels that the demonic energy in the air could drive people insane, the same concept that was mentioned in the DMC2 guidebook, which stated that the dark energy of the Demon World “warps the minds of men”

So, bottom line is - Void Mundus’s death explodes a void that is described as the nexus of the demonic energy contained within the Demon World, the same energy that has two separate 3-A feats.

4: Creation of the Universe

This one is widely known already. On the Devil May Cry 3 manga intro, the narrator tells us of how the universe was conceived. It recounts what I said earlier about the Demon World’s dark energy birthing our universe, the Human World, before noting that, eventually, the Demon World and the Human World were split in two.

The administrator Kepekley23 recently posted this contribution on a Discussion Thread, detailing which demon might have performed the feat, and how they did it. Although we both reached the same basic conclusion of who performed it, his work is much more well-explained and supported by scans than my original write-up on this section, so I will shamelessly copy and paste his write-up here, with minimal changes to it, aside from adapting his images to text with links in order not to clog up the blog:

First of all, I am sure you all recall this very controversial scan from the Devil May Cry 3 manga's official translation, which mentions Heaven and Earth being at war, the link between Heaven and Earth being rendered unstable and the Demon World being spawned from said link, and slaughtering many humans as a result.

Now, this had always struck me as a very weird DMC legend. Not only is something like this never alluded to in the series ever again, but it heavily contradicts several plot points, such as the existence of a literal, separate "Heaven" with angels, which Itsuno himself has stated not to exist on DMC, it contradicts the omniscient narrator's version of the events, which states that the Demon World came before the Human World and, in fact, was responsible for spawning the Human World, and it also mentions some sort of war on Heaven that is never carried forward.

So I decided to take a look at the Devil Lair's scanlation. Devil Lair has its ups and downs, but their version of this page is significantly different from the Official Translation, and it actually fits in rather nicely in with the lore of the franchise, and doesn't actually contradict any plot points established on any other medium of the series:

After downloading the Raw Japanese manga, I set out to ask a native Japanese speaker on this wiki of which one of these two were more accurate, or if either of them were in fact, accurate at all. To my non-surprise, I was told that the Devil's Lair version was the more accurate of the two in this particular page. Credits to Shiro for confirming this.

Here is the Devil Lair's version of the same page - the translators note that "Heaven" referred to in the page is just another word for the Demon World. So any contradictions about a literal heaven with angels arising from this page are dealt with right away.

Now, the scan states that there was a lot of pandemonium and chaos spilling between the border of the Human World and the Demon World, and that the Earth was torn apart with great rents whenever "the wrath of heaven poured down on them", resulting in many lives being lost. Many DMC fans believe that this page is talking about Mundus's invasion on the Human World. But is it?

Notice the fact that the scan specifies those events took place during the birth of Heaven and Earth. Let's revisit the prologue/introduction for the Devil May Cry 3 manga, shall we?

And thus we arrive on the conclusion that it's not talking about the invasion by Mundus's armies - this tale is in fact expanding on what was stated by the narrator in the prologue of the manga, narrating what happened at the birth of both worlds ("earth and heavens"), before the Human World and the Demon World were separated So, going by this scan, back when these two worlds were still one, there was great pandemonium and chaos caused by distortions and instability spilling from the side of the Demon World/Heaven to the Earth.

This brings me to the very next page after this one. This time, we swap back to the Official Translation, which was confirmed by professional translators over Reddit to be more accurate on this particular page.

The one introducing the black-horned demon. We are told that, at the time heaven and earth were rent asunder (which means divided in two), this demon emerged from the darkness, and hammered this spike into the Earth so that the two realms "would never again be split apart."

Now, notice that, in both translations, this demon is referred to as a "Demon God'. Only four demons were ever awarded such a title on the series; Argosax, Mundus, Urizen and the unnamed demon king killed by Mundus - and all four of them happened to share the trait of being Demon Kings/Demonic Emperors.

Now, recall what was stated about Pluto on DMC1:

With all of this together - I conclude that Pluto is, in fact, the black-horned Demon God with a spear, the ruler of the Underworld at the time. Back when the two worlds were one, he emerged from the Demon World and used this spear to separate both worlds -just as stated on the prologue. We know this is not referring to Sparda because those events happened even before Mundus's birth altogether, since Mundus mentioned them happening in the distant past, before he rose to his throne and planned to return things to how they were.

Since those scans are the only times Heaven is mentioned in the series, it makes perfect sense that they'd all fit in together.

Intervening here - remember that I promised earlier on this blog to explain why exactly this scan helped support the fact that Mundus merged the worlds after this section? Now that you have read all the scans above, I will now explain why.

Arkham stated the following:

You might recall the following scan from Kep's explanation that I quoted above, explaining that, way back in ancient times, before Sparda and Mundus's very own fight, when the worlds were still one, there was great pandenomium, distortion and instability between those worlds, leading to many people being killed in the chaotic distortions, purely as a result of those vastly different universes, one of light and the other of darkness, interacting within the same dimension.

In fact, Arkham tells this tale in order to make a contrast to Sparda's situation and to explain this concept to the audience! Back in the very ancient times, when the worlds were born, they were extremely unstable as a result of being merged, before they were separated by the Demon God ruling at the time. Now, many eras later, history repeats itself, because after Sparda has defeated Mundus and saved mankind, the world ends up unstable because Mundus merged it back into the demon world, returning the universe to what it once was, and leaving the humans with an unstable and distorted world. Thus, Sparda has to seal away the Demon World and separate the Human World from it, even after having neutralized the army invading the Human World.

This is one of the final nails in the coffin for the feat, in my opinion.

5: All-Powerful Immortal

Last but definitely not least, the last entry is naturally the feat(s) that reupgraded the God-Tier cast to their so-infamous ratings; the feats belonging to the Demon God Argosax, the main villain of the infamous game-that-should-not-receive-as-much-hate-as-it-does, Devil May Cry 2. The mysterious ruler who appeared under unknown circumstances and rose to subduing the Demon World more than 1,000 years after Mundus's defeat. The ruler who even Sparda's arch-enemy, Bolverk, served loyally, and who Sparda himself couldn't handle on his own (yeah ik his powers were sealed), and who saw fit that every demon in the Underworld was subject to his rule through sheer force.

The plot and lore of Devil May Cry 2 is simple and straightforward; several centuries before the series, Argosax was defeated and sealed away by Sparda with the help of the Protectorate, a clan of powerful and skilled half-demon, half-human sorcerers. A rich businessman/sorcerer named Arius learns of Argosax and the legends behind him, and plans to perform a ritual to absorb Argosax's powers and use them to rule over the Earth, so he moves his company to the island where Argosax was defeated in order to search for the Arcana - four magical artifacts that were used by Sparda to seal Argosax's powers in ancient times, and are the key to resurrect him. The Protectorate is much too old and rusty to defeat Arius, so they summon Dante and ask him to try and stop Arius from managing to revive Argosax, with Lucia, the youngest of their own ranks, there to act as a back-up.

So, where are the feats in the midst? Simple.

Once three of the four Arcana are retrieved by Lucia, Argosax regains a portion of his power and with it, he starts to fuse the Human World and the Demon World together, just as Mundus did.

Arius states:

As per his words, the world is already being warped. He then adds that everything that once belonged to the Demons would revert to its original form. I've already explained what the "original form" refers to several times in the blog, but if you don't recall, remember the Devil May Cry 3 manga:

The universe was spawned by unending darkness and chaos, as a drop of light in a sea of metaphorically endless chaos. Eventually, there came to be a period where it was split in two - as we detailed in the above sections of the blog - and the original Land of Darkness came to be known as the Demon World in the process, and the World of Light (our universe) became the Human World (as explained in a bit more detail by the DMC1 Guidebook)

The Devil May Cry 2 Bradygames Guidebook, an official licensed guide supervised by the Capcom developers, gives us more confirmation on the feat, detailing that Argosax's revival will lead to our entire dimension being consumed into the Demon World:

On Mission 14 of Dante's disk, the stage level takes place on the city of Vidu Mali, with said city having been distorted by the approach of the Demon World at Argosax's hands. This is once again confirmed to be the case by the guidebook:

The city has so been heavily distorted that it is effectively inescapable, with the player needing to create a portal to leave it, by activating four magic globes that can trigger demonic pulses to warp gateways into existence.

The descriptions of Lucia's disc only continue further:

In one of the previous links I gave, Arius states that Lucia would "betray her upbringings and turn on the humans" once the world reverted to its original form. And Lucia herself, later on, expresses her concerns about turning into a monster that would kill those close to herself, to the point she attempts to commit suicide and, later on, beg Dante to kill her.

In the lore for exact same game, it's revealed that the Msira, a bunch of fodder demons you encounter, are actually people who breathed on demonic air in ancient times and were corrupted and turned into creatures. This goes hand-in-hand with the above statement about evil corrupting the air, and it once again reinforces that our world would be corrupted by and merged into the Demon World, hence why Lucia would "turn on the humans" and betray the rest of her clansman.

So, with Argosax's first feat being confirmed, the second one from the same game is much on the same line and more straightforward. Upon his death, the distortions caused by the approach of the Demon World and the merger itself are reverted and the world goes back to normal, showing that he was passively keeping them merged. Evidence of this is the fact that in the final cutscene for Lucia's disc, we see that the sky, which had been a warped red color ever since Dante's Mission 14 (after the Arcana are handed to Arius), has gone back to normal. Further evidence is the fact that...all the games that chronologically take place after DMC2, like DMC4 and 5, don't present a still-distorted world.

So Devil May Cry 2 and Argosax add two cosmic feats to the tally:

  • Argosax merging the Demon World and the Human World into one
  • Argosax's subsequent death restoring them to order and undoing the distortions

Final Tally and Scaling

Scaling

The relevant God-Tiers and scaling ends up as follows:

  • Sparda

Reason: Has one of the feats in here, solo'ed Mundus and his armies, defeated Argosax with the help of the Vie de Marli clan while he was weakened and only had access to perhaps half of his power.

  • Dante

Reason: Beat Mundus with Sparda Trigger on DMC1, demolished Argosax and Void Mundus on DMC2, has stated as an equal or superior to Sparda, and eventually overwhelmed Urizen on DMC5.

  • Vergil

Reason: Comparable to Dante.

  • Nero

Reason: Comparable to Vergil and Dante.

  • Urizen

Reason: Much superior to Mundus and ate the Qliphoth's Fruit, as well as demolished everyone initially.

  • Mundus

Reason: Has many of the feats listed here, fought almost toe-to-toe with Sparda Dannte, and is stated as equal to Argosax.

  • Argosax

Reason: Has one of the feats and, at peak power, is stated to be equal in power to Mundus.

  • Prime Abigail

Reason: Once fought a Demon King.

Final Tally

  • Argosax's unsealing fusing both worlds into one/Argosax's death reverting the distortions at the end of DMC2
  • Mundus fusing the universes together/Sparda separating them and sealing the Demon World.
  • Mundus's death threatening to collapse the Demon World
  • Void Mundus embodying a void which supplied the energy for two 3-A feats (creating our universe and later distorting it in two different occasions), as well as his death collapsing said void
  • The original separation of the universe, done by a Demon-God with black horns who scales to the God-Tier cast.

On total, we have 8 confirmed and safe to scale from feats in the franchise. I am investigating the possibility of a couple more, but for now those are the confirmed feats.

Here is stuff from a blog that straight up debunks Universal DMC. The credit goes to a user known as Cyber.

A certain passage noted down by a prophet in Devil May Cry 1 tells us this:

“Pluto shall come on the promised date and separate heaven and earth. One with black wings of treachery shall come and stand in Pluto’s way."

This in conjunction with the DMC 3 manga is used to argue a prior demon king/god named Pluto split the realms, and was then killed by Mundus.

The issue is the manga statement already debunks this being a feat.

"When heaven and earth were rent asunder, a demon god with black horns emerged from the darkness. He hammered a giant spike into the earth so that heaven and earth would never again be split apart. To prevent the spike from removing itself, he chained the undying one to it, and cast an eternal seal.” (Heaven in this context is the demon world, and earth potentially refers to the whole human realm).

Per the statement, The realms were already split before Pluto showed up. Furthermore, the manga reveals how the realms came to be, and Pluto wasn't involved.

"The world was born from darkness.Unending darkness. A crucible of chaos. But even to that primordial existence there came a ray of light. The universe was eventually split in two. The darkness became the realm of demons... and the light became the domain of mortals."

The manga goes into how it was a natural ray of light that split the original dark world into two. There’s really no reason why Pluto would be this ray of light, especially if he’s destined to eventually separate them back again… just cause? He also places a spike for the realms not to be separated, which contradicts what DMC 1 tells us about his intentions. It’s more like he’s just a destined figure to do so. How he would do so isn’t really clear, and as will be discussed down below would most likely be haxed related.

Other issue is the dialogue differences in the manga description and game description:

Manga: “When heaven and earth were rent asunder, a demon god with black horns emerged from the darkness. He hammered a giant spike into the earth so that heaven and earth would never again be split apart. To prevent the spike from removing itself, he chained the undying one to it, and cast an eternal seal.”

Game: “Pluto shall come on the promised date and separate heaven and earth. One with black wings of treachery shall come and stand in Pluto’s way."

The manga Pluto wants to keep the worlds together. Game Pluto wants them separate. There is narrative contradiction that further complicates the legitimacy of the separation in the manga being creditable to Pluto in the first place. It is quite likely the entity shown in the Manga simply isn't Pluto, given it is never stated to be him.

I would post more from the blog, however, the whole thing is just too big. Here is the link and go down to where it says Let's address the "devil" in the room...

The guy in the blog provided enough sources and citations on proving DMC not being universal.
