DB never says they are FTL. Both DS and Thanos have microsecond reaction time, and have fought characters way faster than Goku or Vegeta. Not to mention that their durability level is unmatched.

Darkseid can control the Omega Beams. If Goku fires a Kamehameha to block them, Darkseid can simply make the Omega Beams move out of the way.

Also, neither Goku nor Vegeta are capable of actually killing Thanos and Darkseid.

Even if Goku and Vegeta are so fast that Darkseid and Thanos can't hit them initially. All Thanos and Darkseid have to do, is wait them out. Goku and Vegeta can't do anything to actually kill them, and Thanos/Darkseid can keep up their attacks, so that Goku/Vegeta has to keep moving at high speeds. Goku and Vegeta will eventually start getting tired, when their Ki starts running low, at which point they won't be able to move that fast anymore. At that point, Thanos/Darkseid won't have any trouble hitting them.

I watched one episode when Darkseid fought Superman he used his beams to hit Superman and S took some small stone brick and blocked it those beams are not strong if they cant melt stone Goku and Vegeta survived much more powerful energy blasts.

The team has no counter for the Omega Beams.

@Miki1111: Well The Flash could barely get away from them and we all know The Flash is leaguesfaster than Goku or Vegeta. The time it would take to charge up the kamehameha enough to block the omega beams he would have already been hit.

@lilben42: Goku can fire Kamehameha instantly just like he did when he fought Nappa he only charges it to give it more power and make it more destructive :)

This is what I hate about DBZ characters. Fanboys claim they are insanley powerful casual planet busters yet very few of them do this at all, much less on a regular basis. They are speedblitzers at best.
