Either way, Sandek decides what gets hit and doesn’t get hit with Integral Cosmos. He can ignore space and damage only the things he chooses.
He can create large scale blasts, but he can do it with the precision to skin an apple from the inside out. Gojo would be the apple in this case, and Infinity would be the skin.
If it's internal it likely wouldn't work for the above reason.
None of this is a justfication of getting past infinity especially when contact can very much range with the barrier showing the capability of extending past where the spatial explosions would be relevant.
The "barrier" is right in front of Gojo usually. He can't slow down attacks that are meters away from away. It works only in very close range.

Hoshi‘s power isn’t spatial cutting. It’s gravity manipulation, but refined to the point he can rapidly inflate spacetime to create a miniature Big Bang, and one that only harms what he wants it to harm, by allowing it to skip space. He just spawns a cosmic blast on Gojo’s forehead and he dies.

None of these translate for him slowing down attacks at that range. You'll have to show feats, otherwise this is just you guessing. With Hanami it was also close range but then he also had to exert himself. With flying this is just straight up not applicable and you should know that.
The fact of the matter is that there are no instances of him using Limitless slowing with objects in decent distances. Only very close range distances.

Infinity by defintion of the addition of space--is to slow things down approaching him. once again, look at gojo vs Hanami and Jogo.
You'll have to show feats, otherwise this is just you guessing.
It's not guessing, we're given an ability function and we see it extend it's range. Logically if that function holds true, then it would slow things down at a distansce which he's shown to do multiple times.

He was only "exerting" himself because of the neutralization of his techinque. in other words, fighting against power negation.

You haven't provided a single feat of Limitless slowing down attacks from distance other than close range. Literally no evidence, no proof, nothing. What is here to discuss? Kamui shuriken are like 7 meters wide and their explosion range is a bit higher than that. It sucks Gojo in.
