Godzilla 2014 vs Smaug

I saw godzilla yesterday, love it and then I came up with this

Gojira

vs

Smaug

they go full out war, no prep, fight in san francisco, at their peak, battle to death in character

can the king of monsters beat this dragon?

Smaug Duh!

Smaug is far more intelligent. He'll strategize, and just remain flying as he cooks Godzilla with his flames.

Godzilla smacks Smaug out of the air like a gorilla smacking a large bird.

Smaug has absolutely nothing that can phase Godzilla, and Godzilla only needs to hit Smaug once to deal a fatality.

I haven't even seen the film and I know that Godzilla wins.

Godzilla stomps hard. And fire's not hurting someone who survived nukes an survived living in the core of the earth.

Smaug is too fast and too intelligent to be hit by Godzilla IMO.

If this Godzilla remembers that he has his atomic breath (which he seems to forget every time he fights Muto #1), then he should wreck Smaug pretty easily.

Eh, I might give intelligence to Smaug

So the monster that can tank nuclear and atomic bombs vs the a dragon that was undone by an arrow.

A monster that can cause major tsunamis from something as meager as rising out of the ocean, doesn't even blink at missiles, bullets, artillery shells vs a dragon that couldn't even kill a town without dying.

Fyi. Godzilla is far more intelligent than Smaug. Godzilla thinks of humans as mere insects.

Even if Smaug is smarter, which is somewhat debatable given he fumbled around and failed to kill a group of dwarves who couldn't even injure him on their best day, there is nothing Smaug can do to win this.

The smartest thing Smaug can do it fly away and lose by self BFR.

No? Godzilla tanks nuclear bombs. He doesn't even acknowledge every form of artillery or missile attack the military does. Simple fire breath isn't even going to phase him.

and he's far smarter than smaug. Godzilla thinks himself one of the highest beings and thinks of humans as just low creatures

And the statement still applies. It's at least as hot as lava down there and he was just fine. And nukes are hotter than the sun iirc so....no fire hurting Godzilla.

Godzilla has no stated weakness to magic like Superman does, and Smaug's "magic" fire wasn't able to melt through some stone pillars. Godzilla isn't even going to feel Smaug's fire, magic or no.

Prove that the pillars were magic. You can't of course, because there's nothing in the movies, books, extra source books, Tolkien's personal notes, or Tolkien's letters that say the pillars were magic in any way.

And as I already said, Godzilla has no stated weakness to magic and Smaug's fire wasn't shown to burn through anything normal fire couldn't burn through. In fact the dwarves often wore masks to guard their faces from dragon fire in Middle Earth's history, and these masks were again never said to be magic. Smaug's magic also wasn't exactly melting huge holes in the earth.

Godzilla, and rather easily. If a small armies worth of missiles didn't affect him, I'm doubting Smaug's breath will do much good.

Not to mention Smaug is about the size of a small strip maul, and Godzilla is the size large skyscraper. Plain and simply, Smaug CANNOT win.

Godzilla isn't dumb really he used his atomic breath on the female muto and that didn't work so he just decided to fry her on the inside and that bored him so much that he took a nap on thousands of people's dead bodies :)

Is this for real ? Gz survived 1500 terraton explosion. What can smoug do? Gz can survive 150 M fahrenheit.

Um, 99% sure Godzilla is bigger than Smaug by a wide margin. GZ 10/10 times.

@_atomikill_: Size doesn't matter. Gz is superior to its size too. If gz was 6 ft tall he could tank 7500 megaton explosion.

@nwgzsjuwhm96y2: Welllllllllllll it does matter, as Smaug could eat a six foot GZ. But, a 150 meter tall GZ destroys it.

@_atomikill_: gz can kill smoug at this size too because he got atomic breath. It will instantly kill smoug because it can harm motus which is nearly durable as gz.

What will smaug do? Stays up in the air? Unless GZ remembers he has atomic breath which he always forgets, smaug will end up BFR'ing himself by flying away
