i know that his power comes from how confident he is, he said that he moves faster then starships, said he can lift the entire baxter building and can survive exploding stars, so if he is fully confident then i can see him winning but if vartox can begin to break him down he will win, imo gladiator has the LAMEST weakness ever

I sort of think Vartox could beat down Gladiator though... Vartox has been said to be stronger than Bronze Age Superman... but to what extent I aint totally sure
Vartox has powers said to be greater (and in a few comics this seemed to be the case) than Bronze Age Superman (in the mid - late 70's). The Bronze Age Superman still displayed power levels that rivaled those of the Silver Age Superman. The range of Vartox's powers were also greater than Superman's and included all the physical powers (strength, speed, invulnerability etc) and mental powers.
