OT: One P, their elements actual correspond to natural elements in everything, while FT elements are weaker and need clear on feats of being stronger or better than their natural counterpart(which most don't, until EoS). Enel's lightning is as fast as irl lightning, everyone faster than that is.....well.....faster than lightning lol.
This pretty much boils down to whether or not you think pre-timeskip Laxus' lightning is natural lightning speed, slower due to lack of feats, or faster due to backscaling from Alvarez and how you apply that. I trust that no one with over 1000 posts who will comment on this thread will change their mind at all.
Not to say Fairy Tail isn't fast without lightning scaling, but it gets a lot harder to properly argue them as above lightning speed. For a time, even some of the people that mainly debated for Fairy Tail refused to put FT characters above lightning speed.
Well, right now the Straw Hats are taking their time passing 3 floors to get to Kaido and that's on bloodlust. Or Whitebeard getting tagged by bullets. Or Big Mom failing to catch the Straw Hats ship for 48 hours. Or Luffy and Zoro failing to catch 200 kmph Gazellman, whose speed is renowned amongst the Beast Pirates. The examples are endless.
I know I'm gonna hurt the fragile feelings of certain people, but this is the observation I deduced from watching OP and I never saw those speed issues existing in FT.

Without Kizaru? Then FT mainly due to the dragons feat and the Dues Sema. Both around quad digit mach to sub-rel feats depending on how you look at them.
Of course you can upscale a whole bunch from laxus lightning which really nothing suggest it's slower than normal lightning, but if were going off pure feats then it's those two.

No one in FT is light speed I.e kizaru is faster than all of em.
Excluding kizaru, anyone who's fought on par and reacted to him should be relativistic (admirals and yonkos). That's still above FT.
Ft best speed feats are the dragons crossing a much larger than normal continent in seconds(subrel), which acno, DGs and other superior dragons should scale to.
Irene's subrel meteor which probably a very few scale to as well. The rest are MHS+.
Although gildarts reacted to light but that's probably an outlier.

When they did, even Mavis was astonished. Grey got blitzed by it hard. They had to pre-dodge according, Mavis called it emergency dodging, aka aim dodge... otherwise they were dead. Bos Natsu being lightning speed is pure fanfiction. Only Eos Natsu is lightning speed.

One Piece is faster but the FT downplay is real. It's like if I pull up the scan of Wano Luffy and Zoro not being able to react to sound even with observation haki. But I'm not too surprised since most of the people doing this are the ones who are known to downplay and wank the hell out of verses.

That isn't lightning magic first of all. Secondly, if you read the chapter you would know that the ability went over the entire town of crocus in one motion. The peak it reached is bigger than any building in crocus including the mountains surrounding Crocus. I'm assuming you thought it paused over the building instead of constantly moving since you didn't read the chapter.
