The four live-action Punishers (Dolph Lundgren, Thomas Jane, Ray Stevenson, Jon Bernthal)

vs

Four 80s action-movie classic protagonists: John Rambo, John Matrix (Schwartzenegger in Commando), Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon), John McClane (Bruce Willis in Die Hard).

To be fair in terms of total number of feats, we'll limit the 80s heroes to their first movie only.

Everyone is equipped with an assault rifle, pistol, knife, two grenades, and a kevlar vest.

Battle takes place at a depopulated cut-your-own Christmas tree farm, with each team starting 60' apart.

In character, perfect teamwork.

Win by any means.

Who wins and why?

Punisher, Punisher, Punisher, Punisher
Punisher, Punisher, Punisher, Punisher
Rambo, Commando, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon guys
Rambo, Commando, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon guys

I'm going for the punisher team.

The third and last punisher (2009 movie and tv series) are pretty skilled and smart (don't know much about the first one.) while the 80s heroes are just "nag".

80's heroes handily FTW

Matrix outclasses everyone here in strength

Rambo outclasses everyone in stealth/trapping

Riggs outclasses everyone in accuracy

Team two wreck. Matrix is too much, and Rambo and Riggs are better than any of the Punishers individually. McClane is the weakest here, but that won’t matter.

This isn't going to be an easy fight or a stomp on either side. I think the 80's team MIGHT pull off the win because of Riggs' insane accuracy and ability to dodge, McClaine's freakish' luck, Matrix's inexplicable endless ammunition, and Rambo's ninja like stealth no matter how much gear and weapons he's carrying, but his penchant for booby traps. The Punisher's won't go down easy though, especially the last three. They're smart, WELL armed, all but the first wear body armor, and are tactical bad asses.

It could really go either way, but to some degree each of the 80's guys have some sort of near magic on their sides.
