Flash (New 52) vs Thor

Main Idea

Batman is taking a vacation as are the other Justice League members except Barry.Batman told Barry to watch over Gotham while he's going for a space trip to outer space to do stuff that Batman does.While Barry was watching over Gotham,Thor was fighting Loki and some how got tricked into getting bfr'd to the DC Earth and is some how angered but not blood lusted and isn't looking for idle discussions.Oh and this is the Marvel Now version of Thor.

(Yeah the plot sucks give me one and I'll edit it in if it makes you sleep better.)

Could go either way. Barry can't lay down serious damage on Thor physically to wear him down, phasing is an option that can eventually be used but will only be sufficient if he put his arm through the brain or heart positions (since the thunder god has survived and continued battling when his internal organs were transmuted and eaten in the past) after realising there's no other way to put him down. Waiting too long can result to getting surprised by an energy wave.

@experio: Well I made this limited to his Marvel Now feats only to limit the number of showings as equal as the New 52 showings.

By using his speed mind and seducing that using pressure points might work. He's in law enforcement and has training. Whether he knows pressure points exactly though is unknown. Let me keep looking thru my comics.

@elmohump: No worries, the feat I referenced was from current Thor #17 (surviving Malekiths transmutation). And just to clarify, he can still planet bust like his classic version as witnessed in GOT #9, shattered them through shockwaves indirectly.

I don't think flash can hurt Thor. So the fight will go on until Thor gets tired of it and destroys the planet.

No he can't. Even if asgardian physiology does have pressure points, there's nothing to suggest Flash is strong enough to affect them.

Has Flash ever used pressure points? Because I do not recall this happening in the New 52. Law enforcement training is basic, it does not necessitate pressure points, that's more in line with higher tier martial artists.

Scan shows it took hit to the neck. And thor went night night.. I don't thi k anybody here doubts flash can't hit every single part of thors body. Especially considering his line of work. He's on law enforcement AND has a vast knowledge of the body considering he does crime scene investigation , which includes determining cause of death etc.

Fastest man alive plus law enforcement training in basic martial arts plus vast knowledge of the body plus speed mind that acts as precog equals thor conceivably goes down to pressure points.

Probably Barry. The fight would go on for awhile, with Barry failing to seriously harm Thor (he could knock him around like he did Superman and Supergirl, but that didn't hurt them, either) while Thor continuously misses with swings and lightning. Eventually, I'd expect, Barry would resort to his speed mind once he realizes how tough Thor is and he'd find a way to harm him, most likely via phasing, until Thor stays down. It'd probably take awhile as the more effective ways of putting down Thor would probably kill him and Barry doesn't kill.

Thank you for the input, I had expected Barry would have considerable trouble in actually hurting Thor/putting him down, but vice versa Thor would not fare well in tagging a speedster. I agree Barry takes it then after a relatively long fight.

The scan is a classic scan which is not stipulated here (this is Marvel NOW Thor), but if you really want to look into classic feats, you will find a handful of ridiculous feats in favour of Thor, in which he fought Drax with a Power Gem or among others, hell even going FTL.

Also while Barry may take the slim majority, I am not really seeing any evidence of pressure points other than speculation. Basic law enforcement training does not really necessitate a high level of skill.

@frozen: Yea I saw that just now that it's just marvel now. Although that doesn't change his physiology. But I won't go there simply because the OP clearly wants to use only marvel now. And yes law enforcement training is basic (trust me, I know) but he still has some martial arts training and has vast knowledge of the body. So it's conceivable that he could use it with his speed mind to use pressure points. But again, I won't go there.

Thor. Flash can't really hurt him and Thor will eventually be able to hit Flash once he tires out.

@demonknights: Why are you basing your Arguement on a low end feat of Thor, why not mention feats were he beat Silver Surfer, destroyed planets, hurt an entity that has never felt pain, fought a Celestial, beat a starving Galactus etc.
