Because Galactus has the starving factor

doesn't Extant have complete mastery over time? 
Time travel, coronal blast and other ability's related to time trump anything Ego can do..
if need be Extent would be able to freeze time and come up with a plan to destroy the living planet..... or just travel back and create some anomaly a stop ego from ever being created.
