I think an argument could be made for EU Vader soloing the entire MCU Avengers roster.

@never_give_up: This is definitely not a mismatch and I want to say Vader but in think Thor is just too much man for him, Thor wins 6/10 Times.

@blackestnight93: Is EU Vader that powerful? The respect thread on the internet doesn't do him justice then.

You'll need more than just skimming through feats on RTs to get a proper view of ones power.

I don't think Vader can rag doll MCU Thor.....He might win but I don't think his TK is that strong.

Vader's TK tears him apart. If not, his speed and lightsaber probably puts Thor down.

It's beautiful. I seriously hope Vader has a lot of screen time in Rogue One.

I think Thor is probably a lot stronger than 20 tons.

@jashro44: He was able to overpower Mr. Stank LOL, and crush his gauntlets with his bare hands, Iron Man was able to compete with War Machine who was able to lift a tank. I would say Thor can lift 100 tons.

I don't see how Thor could touch Vader personally. Vader just seems to exceed him in speed (reacting to multiple blaster bolts and repelling them) and Skill (beating multiple Jedi at the same time), & can always just Jedi mind trick him (Thor hasn't demonstrated much in the way of TP resistance

@blackestnight93: I'm not sure if Vader's character was different in the Legends canon but in the first issue of his current ongoing Vader choked out Jabba and told him he doesn't use mind tricks because its not the way of the sith. Its not really an in character tactic to my understanding. Also it might be up for debate if the mind trick would work because in star wars you can resist mind tricks if you have a strong enough will plus Thor did actually reference TP defences in age of ultron (granted they failed against scarlet witch).

Vader is a lot faster and he can cut Thor but Thor does have area of affect attacks. I don't really want to debate this thread but at a glance I don't think there is no discussion to be had.

Is Canon Vader's TK above his EU counterpart? Cause in the new canon he was bringing down an AT-AT with one hand with just TK

@blackestnight93: Tbh Thor could just smash the ground and destroy the entire surrounding area if he wanted to.

@nfactor1995: Thor has done that one time, in Joutenheim. It isn't consistent with how he usually fights.

Thor has the capability to one-shot if Mjolnir connects, and he can always attack the environment.

Why do producers and screenwriters underpower superheroes so much in films?

@never_give_up: Vader could actually currently solo the entire mcu. A lot of starwars characters could. Vader can honestly just blitz...he won't, but he can.

@leo-343: @nfactor1995: that's not stopping Vader...and? Vader can take hits heavier than that. Not to mention he blocked a shot from a turbo laser with his lightsaber, which we do know has physical power behind it. Not like Thor has that much striking strength in mcu

Vader blocks his lightning with his saber, redirects it with tutaminus, or tanks it with barrier.

Mjolnir can be redirected with telekinesis or blocked as well. And in terms of skill Vader regularly stomps Jedi, was superior to Starkiller/Galen in sabers, stomped multiple Jedi before his prime etc.
