Ethan Hunt vs John Wick
@dioxinyo: Yes but other than that he hasnt shown to be versatile. Hunt managed to climb Kalifa even when his tech failed him.
Wick is better with guns? Lol
Clearly you didn’t see Mission Impossible 3 where Ethan shot down a speeding drone.
Depends on location and weaponry. Wick is better with guns but Hunt is more versatile.
Rount 1 outcome: Ethan knocks out Wick with a few punches considering his punches are stronger than sledgehammers or baseball bat strike since he knocked out someone wearing riot gear armor using his fists only.
Round 2 outcome: Wick gets sniped by Ethan instantly with a duel M9 Berretta while doing balletic flips and weaves.
@allstarsuperman: MI 2 shows Ethan doing fancy rolls and slides while dual wielding yet still not losing his accuracy at all. Ethan got them John Woo skills
@kainan: I don’t really take MI2 seriously, when he’s never shown cartoonish agility/Gun-Fu/wire-Fu like that in 3-7.
@allstarsuperman: He's shown doing that again in MI Operation Surma which is canon. The only possible explanation for Ethan being so op in MI 2 is because he's in his prime. Remember, in MI 3, Ethan no longer partakes in mission which can get anyone rusty. And in MI Ghost Protocol, he's now a middle aged man.
@kainan: good explanation. I agree that Ethan is pretty awesome, but people are sleeping on him and hyping John Wick too much.
@alex_ferrana_: Yeah mainly because most people relate to an extremely violent character like Doomslayer or Kratos. Anti Heroes with the most kills always gets more praise and recognized than a Traditional Hero
@kainan: I am a fan of anti-heroes like the Punisher, but I agree. I like John Wick, but I just feel that he's overrated sometimes.
@alex_ferrana_: Too true, mate
@kainan: thanks and nice to see a fan of Ethan Hunt. He is so underrated in terms of feats and especially when he's used in WhoWouldWin/vs debates. I just recently watched some Mission Impossible movies and it was amazing! Tom Cruise is still badass even in his early 60's.
@alex_ferrana_: Indeed. People seem to think Ethan is weak because he's not a mass murdering lunatic
@kainan: I honestly always hated the fact that people uses a kill count and its quantity as a proof that a certain character is "better" or more skilled, even though mostly it's just gunning down a cannon fodder mooks while they aren't expecting the attack or who have a poor aiming and bad training. I prefer the quality over quantity.
@alex_ferrana_: Nothing here but facts
@kainan: Yeah, agree. By the way, I only recently discovered a respect thread for Ethan Hunt: https://comicvine.gamespot.com/forums/gen-discussion-1/ethan-hunt-respect-thread-in-progress-1968660/
@alex_ferrana_: Yeah I seen it, it's a little outdated though
