You mean besides the fact Maul has better feats, Gillard (the guy in charge of the movie duels) says Maul is a tier 8 and Kenobi is a tier 7 at this point, a rusty Maul beating a stronger version of Kenobi in the clone wars, and Maul having better accolades?

This Obi-Wan loses if he uses rage boost.

If he remains focused, he loses the duel and Maul dies because of overconfidence.
