Steppenwolf's armor took a lot of slashes from Diana's sword and Aquaman's trident during the fight. Thanos' armor isn't that good at all as it's even less durable than Thanos' body. Any slash from sword will likely result in limbs getting cut off.

That being said, Thanos is arguably stronger than Steppen and has way better piercing weapon. Equalize speed and he stomps the trinity.

Honestly hate to say it but Diana and Arthur eventually get the kill on him I think now that we're only using BvS / JL snydercut Diana she's just way too fast more often than not.

I still like the interpretation but it's a shame Thanos was never was shown a slight bit more powerful without the gems.

Bloodlusted is the key word here, Thanos dies a terrible death. Diana immediate blitzes. Light speed reaction or not, she's not getting tagged, though Thanos might react to her. Arthur and Diana tag team Thanos, and if Diana's blitz doesn't kill him, it will once he has to shift his attention to Arthur even for a second.

Victor can also send anything from ICBMs to nukes towards Thanos, though that is the nuclear option.

MCU wank continues. Trinity is far too fast for Thanos. And no, a random beam that was never confirmed to have a canon speed doesn't count as Lightspeed reaction time lmao. Thanos CONSTANTLY gets tagged by MUCH slower attacks. Trinity has much more CONSISTENT speed feats that put them far above Thanos.

P.s. Cyborg solos by hacking Thanos' own ship and nuking him with it.

This trio against a large alien wearing an armor and wielding a piercing weapon, sounds familiar. Unless cyborg nukes them, trio aren't winning.

I love the mcu as much as the next guy, but lollll nobody can watch the Snyder cut and unironically state that Thanos can beat either Superman or Wonder Woman

Superman is far too strong and durable for him, and Diana’s speed + sword is pretty much a guaranteed win

Diana was his superior before the Snyder Cut, and she still is. Steppenwolf holding an upper hand against her is not a knock against her, it is a good showing for him, especially considering he's been compared to beings as powerful as Doomsday twice now, under Snyder, and favorably at that.

@eredin12: Steppenwolf was implied to be weaker than even BvS Superman so I might agree Thanos certainly has advantage in strength, etc. I also agree he can one-shot with sword (unlike Wolf with his axe).

Wolf wasn't just dodging and blocking the strikes though. His armor took a lot of slashes as he failed to block or dodge quite a few. Thanos' armor or skin has no feats that allow him to tank a sword that slashes through Doomsday without trouble so he's at disadvantage here even if overall he's better than Wolf. Steppen is just better equipped to survive this particular fight.

@anthp2000: Do you think Snyder's statements about Steppenwolf are consistent with what was said in the movie? Because it was confirmed that motherboxes called Steppenwolf because Superman died and that they were afraid of him. So even BvS Superman was implied to be at least a bit stronger than Steppenwolf.

At this point, I'm inclined to believe the theory that Superman was still weakened from the kryptonite during the battle with Doomsday. That would suggest consistency for everything: Snyder's statements, Superman's superior performance in Justice League, and Diana saying she'd never met a being as powerful as Steppenwolf before, except for Clark.

Thanos took down Mjolnir wielding Steve Rogers, SB Thor and Iron Man in a 1v3. He even KO'd the Hulk while using no Infinity Stones. Sure Victor could nuke Thanos with every nuke on earth and also kill himself and the other two in the blast. Thanos has skills to keep with Athur and Diana. I'd say Thanos has a good shot at winning + he's smarter than Steppinwolf was.
