End of Days Scenario Sign Ups (FULL)

April 23, 2048, Lancaster Pensylvania, 3:14 A.M. That is the exact time and place where the End of Days began. No one could have predicted it, for it happened out of complete random, and science has no explanation for how they appeared. Beings began to materialize in the sky. They came in many shapes and sizes, some looking like humans with wings, others look too baffling for the mind to comprehend. As the first of these beings descended all those who looked upon her instantly knew her name. Avacyn has come.

Then the slaughter began.

Many of them resembled what people would think of as an Angel, and so that is what people refer to them as. However, what humanity truly knows about these beings is only one thing, the first ones name is Avacyn. Why do we know her name and none of others? Why do they kill some people and leave others alive? Where did they come from and what are they doing? No one knows the answer to these questions, but what is know is that the appearance of Angels on Earth has changed our world forever.

Despite their appearance being the most defining event in human history what we know about Angels is next to nothing. Science has tried to explain their appearance and utterly failed. Logic also seems to fall flat because they don't even share a uniform shape or nature. Avacyn appears to be a pale white human with a pair of feathered wings, but her kin do not all share that look.

Some have many wings...

Some look more monster than human...

And some make no sense at all...

What they do share is super natural powers. Some call it magic, others call it the power of God, but no matter what it is they can wield power that defies the laws of nature. Because of this the world military's quickly crumbled against the army of Angels. Society fell and now the Angels roam the skies, a constant threat for any survivors. During the first half a year the Angels attacked almost everything, but since then their attacks have slowed greatly. No one knows why, but they seem to be much less aggressive recently. Humanity hopes and prays that this doesn't change.

The Angels showed up and began slaughtering people at random. At first people believed no one was safe, but it quickly became evident that this was not the case. While slaughtering large groups of people the Angels would inexplicably leave some alive. Those that they left alive seem to have nothing in common, so this phenomenon has been nearly impossible to explain. Whats even more baffling is that people that are spared in one instance will then be slaughtered by an Angel in the next attack. At first those who were spared by the Angels were called "The Forgotten" but that title has quickly expanded and now is used to explain anyone who is still a regular human.

What is more baffling than the forgotten are "The Blessed". In an even rarer event than leaving someone alive, sometimes an Angel will touch the forehead of a human and fill them with light. These humans can wield super natural powers just like the Angels. These humans have been referred too as "The Blessed" and often face discrimination in human society. Just like "The Forgotten" being Blessed does not make you safe from later slaughter.

The strangest thing to happen is the appearance of "The Damned". Exactly one month after her arrival to the minute, Avacyn let out a great scream and a shock wave of power pulsed across the surface of the entire Earth. After this shock wave, "The Damned" started to appear. People, long dead, began to walk the Earth once more. They sport grey skin and only have a vague memory of their former life. At first people believed that they were creatures fighting on the side of the Angels, but they are not and are just as unsure about what is happening as everyone else. Just like everyone else, being revived does not spare you from the wrath of the Angels and they too must avoid them for fear of being killed once again.

After the arrival of Angels civilization collapsed. Cities were destroyed, people were forced underground to scavenge to survive. Humans turned against each other and the world became a very dangerous place. However, some visionaries have attempted to revive civilization despite the Angels. The latest attempt at this is New Eden.

In the ruins of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania a growing community of people have collected. The founder of the civilization is a man named Governor Lawson, and his Lawson Militia. In this community there are laws, food, shelter, and lots of armed guards to fend off Angel attacks. It is the most successful attempt at reviving civilization since the End of Days began. In New Eden anyone is welcome, even The Blessed, and The Damned, as long as you are a benefit to the community and not a detriment. Similar communities like New Eden have been founded before, but they usually get destroyed by a massive attack from Angels but Governor Lawson promises that he has a plan to make New Eden safe for years to come!

In New Eden there are plenty of groups and interesting things to find. However these are some of the better known factions that you have heard rumors about before even coming to New Eden.

Lawson Militia

Although called a milita it is more like a private army. The militia doesn't discriminate, they will hire anyone to fight and there is always fighting to go around. The militia is most concerned with keeping the peace in and around New Eden. That means dealing with law breakers, fighting off bandits and other crazies outside of New Eden, and of course protecting New Eden against Angels. Governor Lawson said that he has a plan to keep New Eden safe for years to come and the Lawson Militia is on the front lines trying to achieve that goal.

Angel Hunters

Founded by a mysterious lady people call Bloody Mary, these guys take the common knowledge for surviving the End of Days and do the exact opposite; they actively seek out and try to kill Angels. This group is pretty elite and doesn't let just anyone in, but they also dont discriminate. If you can kill an Angel you can kill an Angel, it doesn't matter if one touched you or if you were dead not too long ago. It's unclear what the relationship between the Angel Hunters and Governor Lawson is. They don't work for him but they do occasionally take missions from him. What ever the case one this is for sure, these guy are some serious bad asses.

Scarlett Raiders

If there is one person who can out crazy anyone its Captain Scarlett. Captain Scarlett went insane long ago and founded a raiding party out in no-mans-land. Robbing, murdering, terrorizing; its all fair game. Despite her insanity she obviously has a semblance of common sense, because instead of opposing and feeding upon the people of New Eden like most raiders would, she embraced New Eden. She has agreed that she and her raiders will obey the laws of New Eden while they are in it. They still go out into no-mans-land to pillage, rob, murder, and cause chaos. Governor Lawson has agreed to let them stay outside of the city and have recruiting stations in the city. He isn't happy about it but he doesn't want to add Scarlett and her raiders to his list of enemies. New Eden benefits Scarlett and her raiders too because they have a safe place to retreat too after a good raiding. Because of this the Scarlett Raiders have become one of the most powerful raider groups on the world. The Scarlett Raider's aren't judgemental. So what if you were dead, or were blessed by and Angel, if you want to cause mayhem then come along!

Church of the Mother

What can Angels appearing on Earth be other than the will of God? The End of Days has come and the Lord will soon show his face. That is what the Church of the Mother believes. They are a mysterious Church and fanatical to a default. The location of their meetings is secret and those who go do not always come back. The Church is hiding something, and Governor Lawson would much rather be rid of them, but so far they haven't caused much trouble. The Church of the Mother actively seeks out Blessed people to join and the despise the Damned. The Forgotten are welcome to join as well.

The Dragons Sons

The Dragon Sons are the criminal element in New Eden. They steal, murder, and blackmail within the city of New Eden. Unlike the Scarlett Raiders the Dragon Sons operate mostly inside New Eden. They barely tolerate the Scarlett Raiders when they are in the city and several times the two factions have had shoot outs in the city. Governor Lawson wants the Dragons Sons gone, but they have done a good job at staying underground. No one even knows who the leader of the Dragons Sons are. However, if you go to the shadiest parts of town you might find someone recruiting for the Dragons Sons. They tolerate Blessed, but prefer Damned and Forgotten.

You will be a character coming to New Eden for the first time. You may be coming there to look for work, to join the Lawson Militia, or to become one of the legendary Angel Hunters that you have heard have set up a recruiting station in New Eden. What ever your reason are New Eden is where our story begins.

To create character you will need to first pick a class. Each class has its own strengths and weaknesses that makes it unique, but they all require a few key components.

• A body: This will determine your strength, speed, endurance, and flexibility. The limits for the body is different for each class.
• A skillet: a skillset is any naturally learned, trained skill, knowledge, set of skills or knowledge disciplines associated with a single individual character. A skillset does not include any mystic abilities, chi usage, or tapping into the ‘limitless potential’ of your character is considered a power, not an ability.
• Gear: Each class will start with a piece of real world gear. This can include something like a modern military gun, a bullet-resistant vest, a katana, or something similar. You are limited to one piece of gear and it cannot break the limits.
• A Backstory: This is a roleplaying scenario so character is more important than powerset. Who is your character? How do they fit into this world? Go nuts.

Each class will have its own extra's on top of these core building blocks so firstly you will need to pick a class...

You have not been "Blessed" by an Angel or revived from the dead, but you have learned how to survive in the End of Days. Even if Angels weren't a threat scavengers, bandits, cultists, and other less than savory people are everywhere and you have had to learn how to fight to survive. You are a survivor, and you know the one universal truth of this world: when the world becomes dangerous you must become even more dangerous than it to survive.

This class has no potential for powers, but it makes up for that by starting the game with specialized tech.

• One real world piece of gear
• Two Specialized pieces of gear

The limits for the body are as follows.

Strength: You may not have strength in lifting or striking greater than Ultimate Captain America (5 tons)

Speed: You may not have super speed beyond casual bullet timing.

Endurance: You may not have endurance beyond Bane on Venom (not bullet-proof and a grenade will cause injury)

The limit for the Specialized Gear is as follows.

-Special Gear is a gear used by a certain character. It can not break the rules set by other's I have listed so no putting your stats above the limit. No stupid gear that you know won't be allowed such as a GL Ring or a tardis.

Gear cannot be someones entire arsenal. For example you cant get Batman's Gear with all of his batterings grappling hook and such. But you could get parts of his arsenal as specialized gear.

You have been touched by an Angel. You dont know why or how you were chosen, but when others were being killed you were sparred and blessed. After being touched by the Angel you have gained powers. You didn't ask to be blessed but now you are, and you use your power to survive the End of Days.

This Class has the most potential for powers out of all the classes.

The limits for the body are as follows.

Strength: You may not have strength in lifting or striking greater than Ultimate Captain America (5 tons)

Speed: You may not have super speed beyond casual bullet timing.

• Energy projection above Classic Cyclops (can pulverize a tank)

• Healing Factor above bone claw Wolverine (most fatal injuries put you in critical condition)

One month after the Angels appeared, Avacyn let out a massive scream and a wave of power that swept over the Earth. You had dead but suddenly you were revived and now you have grey skin and strange powers. You don't remember much of your past life, only vague glimpses and you weren't around to see the Angels appear. You were revived into the madness, and the rest of the world seems to despise you. However, you have been given a second chance at life and you intend to survive!

This class doesn't start off with as many powers as the Blessed or any special gear like the Forgotten, but it is the most Physically Dominating of all the classes.

Special Class Perk: You are granted Undead Physiology. The only way to kill you is with a decapitation or damaging the brain.

Speed: You may not have super speed beyond casual bullet timing.

Endurance: You may not have endurance beyond that of a real world Tank. (RPG should do significant damage/bullet proof)

She was born to a family of fighters. Her dad is especially known for making legendary, unrivaled weapons that are rumored to be able to kill even Angels. Even as a kid, Katherine really liked practicing with her father's weapons along side her older brother, and mind you that this was even before the time the End of Days happened.

The End of Days happened, while everyone was panicking, her family was one of the very small amount of humanity's last resistance, protecting civilians with their weaponry. This movement managed to gather quite a lot of people as they all started using these weapons to defend each other, and some people even started developing their own weapons.

One day, her family was attacked by a very powerful angel, Katherine and her parents managed to survive, but her brother wasn't so lucky, he was killed that day. That was the day that Katherine changed forever, she developed immense, unhealthy hatred towards the angels. She trained harder, and harder until she became a weapon herself. She swore to kill all the angels even if it kills her.

Her parents now reside in the New Eden as a fairly famous weapon supplier. Meanwhile, Katherine never joined them as she had been killing angels left and right, leaving nothing but carnage in her wake. As the New Eden was continuously growing, she heard there was a faction that specialized in hunting angels. Naturally, it caught her attention, and she was very much interested to join. As of now, she's on her way to the New Eden to check out the Angel Hunter Faction, and visit her parents that she hasn't seen for years.

Name: Jeffrey "Jenny" Sparks

Personality: Shy, Introverted, Quiet

Age: 18

Born Jeffrey Sparks, at a young age Jeffrey was blessed by the angels when (s)he was 14 and playing alone. After (s)he was blessed his eyes turned a pinkish color and from that moment on he always felt more like a girl. He started to prefer women's clothing and activities, and she changed her name to Jenny.

His body, while still strong, took a more feminine appearance as well. So he now goes by Jenny and dresses up as a girl. She prefers to be referred to as a girl but she does not mind if she is referred to as a guy. Her parents were amazed that she had been blessed by the angles and not killed, but they were always afraid.

After Jenny was blessed she dedicated her time and efforts to learning how to effectively fight in close combat, the world was cruel to the blessed. She was quiet and shy sure but that didn't mean she wanted to be killed by an Angel or something else.

It was when he was 16 that he learned he could see the future of another person and it was 17 when she learned that by looking at someone she could restrict any power they had as long as it wasn't a natural augmentation.

When she turned 18 she was kicked out from her home, she wasn't upset at her parents. They didn't create this world which lived in fear of the blessed, they just lived in it as best as they could. She arrived in New Eden alone but she had heard rumors of a Scarlett raiding group with recruitment stations set up. That would be her first step

Billy just wanted to be a hero do his Ma proud, going to Arrrrn Stronk Acadermyfdds or something like that but then it went dark. The world ceased to exist at least for him and he tumbled far far far down the void. Until a light and that light wanted to kill him. Billy was thrust into a world where the light aka Angels were slaughtering humans left and right. Billy fought back tried to help some people but he just couldn't and almost fell. He had to abandon his values he held onto so dearly to survive and Billy hated himself for that. In the chaos he lost his guns, the guns that were passed down to him from his parents. And after a close encounter from an Angel ,Billy no longer has access to his "god's gift". Billy now relies soley on his wit and skill, he never need his powers anyway. Its now been several years and Billy has not found his guns, he helps when he can but he must find his guns he must. Using New Eden as base.
