Ego vs Mogo

Going for Mogo, only thing I’ve seen Ego do is beat galactus in his jobbing days.

Ego should stomp TBH

Aside from his feats against Galactus, Ego has stomped Thanos, destroyed planets with no effort and took an entire onslaught of attacks from three fleets of Shiar, Kree and Skrull planets and barely noticed.

When did that happen?

I thought there was an instance whereThanos was too much for Ego to handle(though I don't remember the circumstances up to that encounter).

In Thanos: A God up there listening. Ego tanked all of his attacks and pulled him into his stomach and would have killed him but let him live because he was lonely

Thanos with no artifacts isn’t an issue though. Mogo was too powerful for the entire Sinestro corps to attack and is virtually indestructible. Along with being second to Oa in terms of power reserves

Mogo would win. Mogo is more intelligent than Ego, who has been tricked a number of times, showing how dim he is. He probably would not even know Mogo was sentient at first. Mogo tends to stay calm and let others dig their own grave. Then traps them and it’s over. Also as a Green Lantern he can travel just as fast as Ego and can warp across the Universe, or to other universes. Also Mogo would have a whole lot of Green Lanterns around him. Being a Green Lantern you have to have a lot of standards, the ring doesn’t choose dullards. If Mogo is acting as OA, then he’ll have the main power battery, which basically gives him high-unlimited power. Mogo has a great will power and can resist mind control better than most that Ego probably ever encountered. Mogo would slowly trick Ego in a vulnerable state then trap him. Mogo would probably try and reason with him, but finds out in the end that Ego will always be Ego and Mogo absorbs Ego. Eventually he releases Ego and keeps him as a moon, and they become allies and warp off together.

Mogo wins because of 3 reasons 1. Intelligence and 2. Range and 3. Speed

Mogo is the green lantern in charge of administering GL rings to individuals. He is a good judge of character and capable of sensing threats multiple sectors away.

To put this into perspective, the milkyway galaxy fits into sector 2814 and Mogo lives in sector 2261 but during the blackest night arc he went to sector 0000 where OA is.

Furthermore Mogo has a the second green lantern power battery giving him close to unlimited energy.

So straight of the bat we have an MFTL+++ sentient and smart green lantern planet with unlimited power and can sense danger from anywhere in the universe.

To kill Ego it would be as simple as running away and charging a cosmic sniper to end Ego. Ego is just dumb and badly written except in ultimates, but even then the decisions he’s made on a good day are what a normal person would do using common sense.

Ego's a wimp in battle, so Mogo likely wins if Ego doesn't start using more eccentric capabilities

Ego is capable to fight Galactus, he slaps Mogo and he probably solos the entire GL Corps or atleast defeat 2/3 of them
