Dumbledore. Being able to react and teleport instantaneously, release a volley of spells she has never seen and shield himself from her attacks, he'd win. It wouldn't be a stomp, but he'd win.
Galadriel vanishes him
No, no she really doesn't.
@kingjohnrocks: she's thousands of years old, she vanished Sauron to Mordor, resisted the ring's temptation, not counting books' feats.
Lore Galadriel stomps. Mismatch. That Potter universe killing spell is probably only chance Dumbledore has but it might not even work on a powerful elven "sorceress". Isnt she kinda demigod anyways?
@easterlin74: She's not a demigod, but she wins easily. Killing spell should not work since elves cannot die unless they fall in love with a mortal and die from heartbreak.

No, they can die in battle like anyone else, they just don't die of old age or diseases.
@jucaslucasa: almost right
Elves are pretty much. When their physical body dies their soul goes to mangos halls where they wait until they return to Valinor.
Only Elves that have died are Luthien from heartbreak, Arwen from heartbreak and Feanor because his soul was to strong to go to mandos halls.
A good example of this is Glorfindel who lived in Elronds house. He died in the first age when he slayed a Balrog but came back to life.
@lariend: That's their death though, their afterlife. They don't stay dead for long, but they die. Several elves did, Finrod, Fingon, Fingolfin, Thingol, Echtelion, etc.
@jucaslucasa: it's not dying that is the gift that Iluvatar gave to the humans and later also the dwarfes to rest for eternity.
Finrod did not die he was one of the Elves that returned to Valinor the fastest.
It's not stated that fingorn's soul died so he returned to mandos halls.
It's the same with Fingolfin the same with Thingol and Ecthelion. Unless it's specifically says their soul is dead the Elves never die.
Galadriel and it's not even close. Being as old as the world itself and studying magic from both Valars and Maiars since the dawn of time she is probably the only mortal in Middle Earth to vastly surpass most Istari and Maiars in power and skill. Even Sauron was said to fear Galadriel, although I think there is a handful of Maiars and Maiar-level beings, Sauron included who are still more powerful then her. f.e. Ungoliant, Gandalf the White, Gothmog, some of the great dragons, Meliana, and a few more.
Regardless she can probably stun and drain life from Dumbledore with a thought. A being who can protect an entire realm with her magic is more then capable of protecting herself too. None of Dumbledore's spells can reach her.

this no question
@kidolio: Literally everything. Being a first age elf. Overpowering Sauron. Smashing an orc to pieces. Overpower the Nazgul. Everything she does is beyond anything in HP.
@noah_ouellette: That doesn’t really give me anything man. Being a first age elf doesn’t tell me anything except she’s more powerful then regular elves which doesn’t mean much as we don’t know how powerful they are. Dumbledore can smash an orc to pieces. I believe the nazgul’s aren’t very powerful and the only reason people run is because they’re afraid as I don’t remember anything they’ve done that’s impressive. Overpowering Sauron seems kinda of impressive but I don’t think that happened in the book. I always question lord of the rings because their feats are so vague and few. I still remember people saying Gandalf the White could take classic Dr Strange.
Edit: Oops composite, new question what was sauron’s most powerful feats?

@jagernutt: Yeah those video’s didn’t really give me anything that I could use in a combat situation for Galadriel except maybe that’s she’s as powerful as faenor, who seems physically powerful, so I guess she’s as strong as he is. So if she engages in a fist fight she’d win but in magical combat I think Gandalf’s got it.
@jagernutt: When did she fight the witch king angmar?
You mentioned the ring wraiths. I just thought I'd throw that in. I'll try and find the video that specifically target's more in detail Saurons other abilities.
@jagernutt: Thanks for all the feats for Sauron, I’ll use them later in a Sauron thread but I just remembered Galadriel banishes Sauron by using a weird object that she later gave to Frodo that specifically fights evil. So you don’t have to keep mentioning Sauron.
