Sorcerer Supreme Strange beats almost anyone, including the Phoenix. Just imagine him summoning all Octessence, Fear Lords, Vishanti, Old Ones, Faltine, Zom, Denak, a bunch of other demons and magical beings, all abstract beings, Galactus and his relatives, N'Garai, and Elder Gods all at once.... Phoenix stands no chance.
Phoenix . Strange can only win if he somehow gets his hands on powerful artifacts like the Infinity Gauntlet or the Amulet of the Ancient One(which LT was willing to use to boost his power in the battle against Protege) .
Classic Strange in a stomp. The Phoenix Force itself has been beaten by a couple members of the Ultraforce and X-Men XD
Not really. X-men wins usually involve the Phoenix Force quitting because the Host does not want to continue or them trying to trap it for a shor time.. They have never outright beaten it.
he'll just contain the pheonix force until the living tribunal judges for it's return. if the phoenix is using a host, it would be much more easier to expel it.
Phoenix, the force can break spells with ease as shown when it undid the magical reality warp of Inferno, and Wandas spell that was supposed to be unbreakable.
Phoenix is obviously far more powerful. But I have to give this to Strange. Thats what Strange does, he finds ways to defeats opponents far more powerful than he is.
In a outright battle, Phoemix wins. Maybe Strange would in with prep time. Phoenix is already at it's full multiversal power from the start of the battle.

It was merely a nether realm. We don't actually know how big the said dimension was. Remember, this is just one of the minor dimensions connected to Dark Dimension (which in turn is only a pocket dimension). Dimensions around it are actually very small. I mean the lord of the supposed dimension worked under Dormammu and feared him. Other dimensions we have seen connected to Dark Dimension are normally pretty tiny, few have been explained to be smaller than a city.
Now there is no proof that the dimension was that small but given how it was potrayed it was unlikely to big. Given it wasnt kept very clear I'll let you make your own judgement.
I still going with the Phoenix. Jean with just a part of the Phoenix Force was able to hold the 616 universe atoms in her hand...
Alternate realities are normally considered canon to the Phoenix force. Jean, in 2 alternate reality, has destroyed the whole universe. Not to mention Dr. Strange has no defense against telepathy of this order and non of his artifacts actually gives him any significant TP resistance. This battle is pretty one sided when you look at it.
Phoenix at the most powerful is above universal. She wins. Classic Strange is good and has taken on some extremely powerful enemies, but Phoenix at the most powerful is White Crown Phoenix and above anything he has taken on before.
