@XiiX: Stalemate with Nabu. Defeted the Wizard Shazam, controlling and using the Rock of Eternity against him. He was able to defeated Alan Scott controling the Starheart and he is truly immortal,The Hourman android attempted to de-age Mordru to a point where he was not as powerful, however in the process he discovered that Mordru's timeline had no beginning or end. Mordru was apparently never born, nor would ever die.

Through overall sheer power, yes, but this is a fight to annihilation, and apparently Mordru can't simply "die".

Dormammu can't either.
The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak should keep Mordru in line though.
@nickthedevil: Your forgot Mordru is capable to control others magical items and absorb their powers?

You forgot that Dormammu has complete control over the bands, uses them to keep the Mindless ones down, chain Zom, and beat Gaia in her OWN dimension?
@nickthedevil: You forgot Mordruwas able to stalemate with Nabu (that goe toe to toe with the Spectre) and later defeated him? You Forgot that he cros the Universe hunting and stealing powers from agents of Lords of Order and Chaos? He was able to ripp the Starheart from Alan Scott? He controlled the Rock of Eternity? He defeatMirabai, Mordru becomes the new ruler of Sorcerers' World (that's the nexus of all Universe magic)?

None of that is above chaining Zom, let alone beating Gaia in her own dimension. I haven't even brought out the beating Eternity thing. And even the dialogue between the two that references their constant bouts. Dormammu is a regular baddie that's been fighting Eternity itself for millennia.
@nickthedevil: So our debate is useless sinec If you read OP,they can only win via annihilation, stalemate
@matchesmalone21: No, says they are looking to annihalate one another. Doesn't mean it's the only way to win. Mindless Ones alone could take out Mordru. Hell, even Dorms is afraid of the mindless ones.
@nickthedevil: Wrong if it's said looking for destroy each other, means wins by death.....If it isn't the op would stated

Honestly? In terms of raw power, Dormammu has stalemated Eternity. The Crimson Bands of Cyttorak are beyond Mordru's control. Not to mention defeating Gaea.

Well, after Gaea got rescued, she banished Dormammu. But in any sense, Dormammu has shown the ability to tap into his own dimension's power even when not in said dimension.
Mordru wins. They are comparable base wise, plus Mordru (from what I have seen) is able to absorb much more power than Dormammu. In Legion of 3 Worlds, he was able to absorb ALL the magic in the universe. In one of the Legion runs, he was able to absorb half of Infinite Man's power and owned a 5-d dimension Imp with ease (A thunderbolt).
Dormammu is far, far better feat-wise from what I know.
I say it's quite a mismatch, especially because is Mordru's 20th-century version only.

copy that
Woah...Mordru absorbed all the magic in the universe, not like a weakened Strange didn't do the same or Dormmy didn't something similar in an inferior form when absorbed all of the Dark Dimension's energies. Heck, even Mordo absorbed all the energy from a million of mystical universes and enough magic to power-up the Staff of Polar Power, which allowed Nebulos to take on the Living Tribunal itself back in the old days(Plus official sources say Dormammu has even given Mordo UNLIMITED mystical powers). As for absorbing half of Infinite Man's powers, Dormammu absorbed all of Eternity's, a far better feat. Mordru owned Thunderbolt by actually cutting him from his power-source, not in a direct battle. Even then, Dormammu defeating Slorioth(A threat to Eternity just by existing) off-panel, while still weakened, is just as good as handling Thunderbolt.
They being comparable base-wise is another joke. Dormammu has universal to multiversal feats even in weaker forms, Mordru doesn't compete with him.
Dormammu
