@midbody: that explosion is inquantifable, so no, that does not show Supes to no sell lightning. However seen how Superman was nearly completely invulnerable throughout all three movies he was in, it is absurd to presume lightning would injure him badly.

Not necessarily.

That energy may look like lightning but it could be something entirely different.

It had probably been a while since the OP wanked Superman and he was suffering from withdrawal symptoms, I'm happy he's found a way to release that frustration, even though it was a sad attempt

You know what happens to a Superman when struck by lightning? The same thing as everything else.

That same box that Superman struggled with was one shot by lightning. I’m not sure what you’re trying to show here.

WoDC Superman no sold Doomsday's lightning even when weakened by Kryptonite which is more impressive than what he did in OP's post.

No, that doesn’t mean he can no see anybody’s lightning.

That’s just a energy feat showing x amount of energy resistance.

@buckwheat: Electricity is the same thing a body communicates with though..anything that has a cellular matrix basically. Electricity can overload these synapses and signals in ways that other forms of energy cannot.

It may be possible to quantify the heat and pressure effects based off of other forms of damage, but the electrocution effect needs it's own feat.

No. Lightning is a type of electricity. It occurs in a very unique way.

Especially in fiction, lightning doesn't necessarily equate to electricity.

@ourmanuel: Even if that particular video isn't real, regular people have been struck by lightning and survived. It just depends how much insulation your shoes have, and probably some luck as well.

And I meant it wasn't impressive for characters on the level of superman.

If it is not electricity then it is not lightning. Lightning is static electricity on a very large scale, that's it. In fiction it can sometimes be magical in addition to being electric but that's it.

Yeah, electricity works in its own special way, but for a character that has shown to be invulnerable to piercing, heat, blunt, gas, drowning, energy projection, nuclear explosions, and most of these in very high levels.... for him to be vulnerable to electricity would be the odd thing, the natural thing been him heaving some, if not complete, invulnerability to it, just as the rest of things that harm living things but don't harm him.

Batman could no-sell lightning with his suit...

Regular humans tank it all the time, lightning travels so fast that it might not do any damage to you at all.

Why is MOS tanking lightning even a question I will never know. He tanked the damned nuke to the face on high altitude. High altitude nuke explosions generate insanely strong electromagnetic pulses. If he can tank emp he can tank whatever lightning you throw at him.

Superman would no sell normal lightning which Thors have never been but he would win regardless due to his crazy JL speed.
