Well there's no sign of them being hurt, or melting or burning up at all as they're in it, and Linlin has been there longer than Kaido. You'd think she would be nothing but a skeleton.
@futureisbest: Tanking an eruption of that magnitude point blank would be impressive, just staying in natural lava for an extended period (which Big Mom obviously did) wouldn't be.

The fact that Linlin is still intact (albeit probably dead) is more than can be said for Naruto "look out for the real lava, Sasuke!" Uzumaki, bearing in mind that both Kaido and Big Mom had taken a crazy amount of damage by that point anyway.
It was implied Naruto and Sasuke were going to die to Kaguya's lava and there have been characters like Whitebeard and Shanks who were up close and personal to Akianu's magma which was able to cause feats like what you saw at Punk Hazard.

There's no way she is dead, Oda doesn't just kill off characters like that, maybe KO'd though.
@shirso: I'm not so sure, both her and Kaido have had multiple extended fights now, at the very least she is hugely injured. She also had flashbacks (always a sign of defeat/death) and a very climactic send off...the volcanoes going off sealed the deal as far as I'm concerned.

They obviously have better than base Naruto and Sasuke. Anyone arguing otherwise is dumb. Heck, they got better than base Goku and Vegeta. Most characters couldn't nap in lava like that.

The delusional ones are you people who read this page, saw Naruto clearly not afraid of the lava and was more worried about Kakashi and Sakura and somehow came to the conclusion that he was terrified of dying...?
The only people who were worried about it being "real lava" were Kakashi and Sakura. Naruto and Sasuke falling into it wouldn't kill them but why wouldn't they want to avoid it? Seeing as their enemy was in the air and had abilities they didn't know of...
It's common sense and you guys have created this twisted narrative from a lack of basic reading comprehension.
In general One-piece characters and the verse in as a whole is very physical. Just have having a devil fruit ain't enough.
In Ninja world though (Naruto) it's a big deal.
Guarantee that both bigmom and Kaido ain't dead. If getting hit by lighting did nothing to bigmom then lava won't do anything. Same goes for kaido. His blast breath is way hotter and when Luffy bounced it back in gear 5th , kaido took pretty much zero damage.
@lovetiemainiac: Those are feats from Season 1 you just named where the characters were drastically weaker. It doesn't look like you read very far into One Piece.
Since this about heat resistance and not just raw power it would go to Kaido and Big Mom since they're in the same tier as Akianu who can permentaly change the climate. Aokiji fought him for 10 wholes days under this heat.

Goku no sold reentry heat while in unconscious base. Reentry heat >> lava's. Goku also took a bath and swallowed underground magma in Broly movie so even his internals are not effected by lava/magma.
OT. If they survived in that underground magma then yeah, for sure.

A jutsu that used rocks, turned them to magma in a second and generated enough light to shine around the entire battlefield like a tiny sun is definitely a low showing.
