Ultron. Desperos mental powers won't work on Ultron and I think Ultron is more durable.

I dont know that much about Ultron, but if Despero can wreck the JLA, he can wreck Ultron.

Honestly its not a fight Despero can win. Not only is Adamantium much durable than anything Despero has damaged, Ultron at will can turn into pure energy, unleashing enough energy to outright KO (and nearly kill) Thor and Despero wont be able to punch Ultron in the energy form.

@killemall: IDK if that's enough to put down Despero. Also, Despero isn't dumb enough to keep wailing on someone made of a metal he seemingly can't dent. I can see him using a combo of his TK, speed, and superior reflexes to take this fight.

1 or 2 attacks likely wont put him down. Ultron has a perpetual nuclear furnace inside of him. He neither tires nor runs out of energy. Eventually he should be able to put Despero down too.

Nothing here would either allow him to rip apart adamantium or more importantly allow him to actually be able to hit Ultron in his energy form, nor really defend against such an attack.

His durability will make the fight go long, but i am not sure his reflex , TK or his massive durability will amount to much.

@killemall: Hm. I'm keeping an open mind. I'm only familiar with Phalanx Ultron and Classic Ultron. Can you post scans of his energy form feats?

I think the third set of scans are more detailed.

Like you can see he doesnt constantly remain in the energy form but can change his body into pure ionic energy at will. While this is of course enough to 1 shot KO Thor or even nearly kill him, 1 of such attack wont be enough to take out Despero, but eventually after say 5, or 10, heck 20 of such attack should eventually wear down and defeat Despero too.

Dont get me wrong, Despero should be much stronger than Ultron, and all in all likely more powerful, its just he doesnt have the right tools to defeat Ultron (matter manipulation, ability to manipulate energy or heat vision)

Honestly no one has attempted to TP Ultron.

Ultron has a consciousness, his brain pattern is based on Hank Pym, but he is more or less a rogue programming..

Sure. But if anyone has anything concentrate suggesting Ultron is vulnerable to TP, then that really opens up for a decent avenue for Despero to win.

Thats Ultron thing too, he himself is capable of hypnotizing people, in fact Avengers + FF + Inhumans together.. had it not been for an under-aged plot device (Franklin Richard) to foil him.

Him being overall more powerful shouldnt automatically mean he beats Ultron.

@reaverlation He might be able to hurt him in his energy form with his "psionic bolts of fire" - IDK if he had the Flame of Py'tar when he uses that ability.

I dont know either man, but if thats the case chances for Despero actually winning this increases substantially.

I can't find anything that suggests Despero had the Flame of Py'Tar boost in this encounter with Supergirl. As you can see, his psychic fire blast not only matches her heat vision, but eventually overpowers it.

@killemall According to his wiki page, he did this another time against Martian Manhunter, almost killing him, until Booster Gold put up a shield to protect him.

@killemall: hurting an energy form shouldn't be a problem for one of the best energy and matter manipulators in the DCU. Why does everyone assume all Ultron is is a superman level brute with TP/TK. He's so much more than that. He's transformed buildings into something resembling dragons to fight for him. Not sure who wins but really the majority of Despero's power is being ignored here.

@beatboks1: He has massive matter manipulation abilities? I didnt even know, but if thats true than Despero would win this.

@beatboks1: ultron has fought matter manipulators before and nothing's worked on him. Scarlet witch can't do one thing to him. I think this is a stalemate or ultron eventually gets stronger and crushes despero.
