• Sinestro and Atrocitus have 1 hour of prep time, everyone has prior knowledge
• Standard gear and equipment, The lantern's each have a power battery on them and there respected rings
• Morals on, everyone is in character
• Win by Death, KO, TKO or Incapitation
• No BFR or Mind hax/telepathy
• Starting distance is 50 ft apart from eachother
• The lantern team has perfect teamwork, No grudges
• Everyone is Post crisis/New 52 and Rebirth unless otherwise specified

Even with the duo getting 1 hour prep? Despero's durability has notoriously been garbage.

@nima_: His durabilty is garbage? He was fighting Power Girl, Superman, Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel without any problems. Despero getting hurt by sharks is just bad writting.

Durability-wise, I've only ever seen him been inconvenienced(barring that one-off showing where Superman defeated him with heat-vision) by characters in this tier.

Unless there's some key showings I'm unaware of, I by no means understand how his durability is in any way "garbage". If you're thinking of the times he was bitten by sharks, or had a few teeth knocked out by Hawkman's mace, the damage incurred was nothing more than superficial.

@apex_pretador: Your lack of knowledge on both the Lanterns and Despero is showing. Superman's strenght is enough to break a Green Lantern's construct. Despero was beating Superman, Power Girl, Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel at the same time. He's not going to have any trouble with them. And his TP is powerful enough to beat both Aquaman and Martian Manhunter attacking him at the same time with TP. So he could control their minds just like he did to most of the Justice League including the mind of MMH.

Yeah, unfortunately without his TP, Despero loses here.

This is very close but probably Despero.

Every time he's been hit with some sort of piercing attack (crowbar from Aquaman, Starro's axe, sharks, etc.), he gets cut like a hot knife through butter. Characters his tier typically have better durability. There was also superficial damage from Hawkman's punches in Death of Hawkman, even while amped with nth metal and the flames of pytar:

At some point we have to acknowledge that this occurring over a decade from different writers usually tells us something and we can't write it off as PIS. His blunt durable is a little better but not much compared to others at his level (Thanos, Darkseid, Doomsday, etc.) While soloing JSA/JLA was a great feat of pure strength and dominance, he didn't take any of the hits in that encounter that well. IIRC Power Girl's stomach punch made him yell out in pain.

I don't see why one focused, piercing construct from Sinestro, through Despero's head can't just get them the KO win like it did Hawkman when he blasted Despero's face with nth metal. (As we know, Despero can just regen from that but it takes a little bit of time)

Actually, he's exhibited concussive-blasts of energy. Yes, the third instance is an energy-beam(not a psionic one), as you can see Flash is literally singeing. In the second-row, he nearly disintegrates Martian Manhunter "into a pile of ashes".

Despero wins, even with no TP he can physically overpower them.

• Umm, thats not true in the least bit. Despero has no sold attacks from Superman, Power Girl, Captain Marvel and ragdolled them as well as owning them physically. Hell, all Hawkman's mace did which is Nth metal was give him a bloody lip. Hes also matched GL in energy projection as someone posted from Breakdowns, one shot Guy Gardner as well.

At least know what you're talking about before saying an incorrect statement, especially when Despero has defeated MMH physically twice now.

I am not using the New 52 version of Despero. Even if he’s injured, he can regenerate very quickly. What takes longer is if his head is cut. Took him a week to come back from that. Superman wasn’t trying? He was about to take control of the entire Justice League. It’s not the first time we see Despero having a strenght advantage over Superman. So yes, he was trying. Guess what? Despero is probably 1000 times stronger than Post-Crisis Aquaman so it doesn’t matter. Even with prep, there’s not much 2 Lanterns can do about it. Even adding Kyle in the mix wouldn’t change anything.

The Lanterns do have a way of blocking Despero's telepathic blasts, and if they work together they can put him down before he pierces their minds.

Despero hasn't done anything impressive post fp. His best showings are obviously from pre fp.
