I know a lot about Sephiroth, but my knowledge of Link ends with Ocarina of Time. What exactly is Deity Link?

I'm more inclined to believe that Supernova was just an illusion. If Sephiroth could create that kind of destruction at will, then there would have been no point in using the Black Materia to summon Meteor because Sephiroth would have had more than enough power to wound the planet himself. Also, it is impossible for Supernova to kill anyone by itself because it is essentially a really fancy Gravity/Demi spell and one of the status ailments it can inflict is confusion.

That being said, Fierce Deity Link's very short involvement in MM's plot makes him fairly featless, as far as the story goes. Gameplay-wise, he's just a really enhanced version of Link who doesn't have access to any of his items besides his sword.
