Alright boys and girls, it is that time of year again. It is time to begin the nomination round for the Comicvine Battle Forums Debaters Hall of Fame!

Purpose of the HOF

Contrary to what most may believe, the HOF is about more than just back patting and recognition. It's about endorsing the values we want to see more of on our forum. There is an old saying, you catch more flies with honey...and it's true. Recognize the things you like with praise and more will want to do them for the recognition. This is your chance to positively influence our community.

Please no negative comments about any user or anyone's choice. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Rules for the Nomination Round

• This is your chance to add to the list below.
• Vote for people who are NOT on the list below
• If you fail to take advantage of it, no bellyaching if the one you want to vote for in the HOF isn't on the list.
• To get on the list you have to be nominated have it seconded and endorsed (three votes in total).
• You cannot nominate yourself.
• To be eligible as per all previous HOF rounds, you have to have been a forum member for over a year.
• You cannot nominate members that are currently banned from the site
• Feel free to nominate as many people as you feel are worthy to be on the list of nominees.
• To make nominations, viners must have a minimum post count of 500.

So, this list will be updated as we get nominees voted in. If you don't see your name on here and you were a former nominee, remember that there is a limited carry over of nominees from rounds past. The names listed a bit below are the carry overs from the round XIII nominations. Nominees who do not make the Hall of Fame will be added to the Nominees of Years Past thread before completely falling off the list of current nominees, which is well worth checking out for the names of noted debaters if you are having problems on deciding just who to nominate. Do not nominate anyone that is in the current list of nominees.

Is there any way revisions to the rules can be discussed? Because to be honest I think it would help a lot if we could make a minimum amount of votes required to get in. It doesn't need to be five people every time...

For clarification, to get nominated, you need three nominations from three separate viners. Everyone can make an unlimited number of nominations. The voting round is another beast altogether. There will be no rules changes this round, although, suggestions can be discussed before the next round. We can discuss it via PM after this round is over.

I'm gonna do some nominating of my own:

@angeljax - My fellow MCU/AoS homie. Always rock solid.

@paytience - His technical breakdowns are exceptional, especially differentiating between physicals and skill in a way that's brilliant. His real world experience makes him a valuable debater.

@rbt - I'm often on the opposite side of the argument from this guy, and he makes it entertaining every time. Really good debater that brings a unique take on things.

@arcus1 - Sometimes I'm on the opposite end of the argument from him, and sometimes on the same side. Either way, it is very hard not to look like an idiot when debating with this guy.

@dstreet45 - Really, really solid debater with a clear thought process.

@anthp2000 - Really brings respect to some characters that are heavily underrated, like MCU versions of Widow and Hawkeye. (He's already been nominated, but no harm in showing respect anyways)

I first debated ANTP in a Catwoman vs Bane thread, thought he was too enamored with Selina to be objective. Ended up enjoying discussing the topic with him due to him being open-minded, meticulous in the construction of his arguments and intensely respectful. I don't often agree with him but he's going to build a good case, regardless.

I don't think I've ever debated DSTREET but along with@rogueshadow(who is already in the HoF) I always enjoy reading through his MCU debates. Deeply knowledgeable and very laid back.
