Slade is a far cry from any mere mercenary.Crawdad-boy has never been shot at by the worlds greatest assassin. Not once.

And as far as the pink goes....chalk it up to artists that don't know how to draw Gambit. There are at least a handful of depictions of him. I prefer this one


His costume also, unlike the other xmen is a body armor instead of just tights.

No matter how he is depicted he is a lame and annoying character.

Edit: Also the colorist is responsible for the characters color, not the artist, generally.

Deathstroke would murder him rather quickly;this isn't even close.

Indeed, like I said, I was just venting as that feat is one of Gambits best...and IMO it's utter rubbish  Still even without prep DS takes it, his insane prep feats doesn't even matter...he isn't taking on a whole team of super heroes..he is fighting Gambit who doesn't have that many impressive fighting feats...not as many as Slade

  I think beating down Blade, Daredevil, Sabretooth, and Bishop without the use of his powers is pretty impressive.

For the record in that Daken and Gambit fight, IRCC, Daken didn't even fight back. Maybe threw a punch and Daken caught him, but they weren't really going at it. Gambit just managed to punk Daken but in a straight up fight Daken would beat him.

Also Bishop beating Logan in a sparring match is as credible as Storm beating him in a sparring match. In actual h2h fights, he would slaughter both at once.

I can take very little from this thread. It really just shows how many people hate on Gambit.

I feel like people are underestimating Gambit a bit. But Deathstroke still wins this, even without prep. I just don't feel like it's a stomp.

Every step slade takes there is a charged card every sword strike is parried (and vice versa but still) he's gonna get knocked around by each explosion until he takes a card to the chest. Essentially if gambit can tag him on the armor at all he can charge it and f him up a little right? His speed comboed with his mutant ability is just too much for Strokes. Without the mutant ability slade eventually gets him.

Well one charged playing card is about a hand grenade. He can charge it fairly quickly. The larger the object the more time it takes but the blast is much larger. Also his mutant ability grants him enhanced agility. I fell like I read that somewhere but the way I see it he can get in close and quick put his hand on slades mask long enough he can blow his head off. I know slades got enhanced everything but I still think remy is quicker.

It is rather important to note that on one hand Lady Deathstrike has bones made of adamantium. Adamantium can cut through virtually anything. L.D also has a healing factor. Gambit has the ability to melt things and charge things with kinetic energy. Gambit has a wide assortment of long ranged attacks. L.D however doesn't have any. Even if Gambit charges an object with kinetic energy. The molecules do not change density and can still be cut through by adamantium.

gambit would win still as there is no real reason he wouldn't he would throw a card through deathstrokes face.

Deathstroke wins, his armour has shown the ability to tank explosions, he is far more tactical, he is faster, stronger, more agile, smarter... etc. He can shoot him from a range, or just close distance and cut his head off. Slade all the way.
