DCEU: Wonder Woman vs. Zod

Zod was able to stalemate Superman who was shown to be superior to Wonder Woman. Zod should take this easily.

Can go either way. There are many factors that point both directions:

Zod pros - has superior strength, durability and speed.

Wonder Woman pros - has superior skill, damage output (sword), has more versatility with gear (can restrain with lasso, block heat vision with bracelets etc.

Zod cons - can't explot Wonder Woman's piercing durability weakness. WW can take a beating from both Superman and Doomsday without injuries, so Zod's blunt force attacks, even though he is stronger, will be very ineffective.

Wonder Woman's cons - she is susceptible to blitz. She can defend against Zod's superior strength with her high blunt force durability feats and defensive gear (shield and bracelets). She can damage Zod with her sword just fine. But there's little she can do against Zod's speed advantage. I mean her own speed is not bad, and she can try to make up for with her skill, but will it be enough? Hard to say.

I'd put my money on Wonder Woman, but it's a very close fight. If Wonder Woman gets pinned to the ground and loses her sword, Zod will just pound her until she's a bloody mess that no longer moves. But if she catches Zod even once off guard with her sword, she can decap him. Close, very close.

This is not a very good argument to be honest. Anyone can just respond with an argument that Wonder Woman and Superman seemed evenly matched against Doomsday.

But when it comes to Superman and Zod comparison, first of all, JL Superman is superior to rookie Superman Zod fought in MoS. Secondly, Superman won the fight, Zod did not stalemate him. He just put up a decent fight, but Superman wrecked him. And thirdly, Zod was bloodlusted and Superman did not want to kill him. Similarly Superman was bloodlusted by Wonder Woman did not want to kill him. So comparing these two fights is just not gonna work. Here, Wonder Woman will not hesitate to murder Zod, and Zod will not be fighting against someone who holds back.

Like I said in my post above, this can easily go either way.

MOS Zod < MOS superman < BvS superman = BvS WW, so in my opinion, BvS WW > MOS Zod

Blatantly wrong.

Zod had the upper hand and mostly overpowered Superman for the entire fight, remember that Superman won because plot/BvS connection.

It was almost all Zod's striking power, he overpowered a charging Superman and sent him flying miles away through multiple skyscrapers with enough momentum to collapse one of said skyscrapers.

Superman was the only one sent flying backwards as we saw on-screen, and Zod easily caught up to him despite not having flight so if that was truly their combined damage output then Zod would've also been sent flying in the opposite direction (probably even a greater distance given his lack of flight at the moment), which didn't happen, and he also wouldn't be able to catch up to Superman that freaking fast.

People agreed BvS Superman would do the same aganist Zod, which has basically pre-nuke feats possibility to replicate.

I know I've said this before but I genuinely don't believe JL Superman was physically stronger than MOS/BVS Superman at all. Strength-wise he did nothing in the that movie that he couldn't already do in the first two films. In fact Nam-ek's feat of tossing a 184 ton locomotive possibly hundreds of meters is still probably far and away the best strength feat in the DCEU and a rookie/untrained MOS Superman could physically stand up to and fight back against the larger Kryptonian, which would easily imply that he could do a similar feat (Faora as well).

Try again man.

Hmm she’s more willing to kill than Superman

Wonder Woman takes it solidly. Zod will make her work for it at first but he can't put her down while she has several ways to incapacitate or kill him. Plus she's way faster/more skilled.

I want to say Zod decisively, but the sword and her own speed/skill are giving me pause.

Her sword was shown ineffective against alien armor when she went against Steppenwolf and Zod has armor on here.

She can't fly like Zod.

She isn't anywhere near as strong as Zod.

I feel like Diana could win, but Zod probably takes the majority. She seems like she wouldn't hesitate to go for lethal attacks against the likes of Zod. She's been outmatched by Superman, but she clearly wasn't going to try and use her sword to cut off his limbs or anything. I think there is a respectable speed gap between Zod and Diana, and a slight skill gap in favor of Diana. Strength is the main factor here that's netting Zod more wins, Diana is somewhat durable, but it seems like she'd suffer a lot from any of Zod's punches.
