Thanos squeezes DCEU Superman's neck as hard as he can for 80 seconds.

Superman is not allowed to fight back until the 80 seconds are up, what happens?

Supes struggles to stay conscious or dies. If Kryptonians can choke him out, so can Thanos.

Unconscious or killed eventually I guess doesn’t make it that hard if he’s letting it happen and we seen that Kryptonian necks can be broken with brute force.

@oraculi: I'd say lapsing into unconsciousness. Kind of hard to say but I feel like with the Gauntlet on, it perceives to give Thanos a more damage output than what he would do with just his bare hands.

@oraculi: @eternaldarkfury: I don’t think the gauntlet does much for his griping strength considering the tesseract and visions head where with his barehand it’s just a gauntlet for the gems it doesn’t make him punch harder or anything.

Superman has no neck feats. He dies.

On a more serious note, I don't see how Thanos can't atleast choke him with that amount of time.

With the amount of time Thanos should win, he crushed the Tesseract, overpowered the Hulk and Thor, crushed Vision's vibranium cranium with two gingers and is strong enough to destroy Cap's shield (albeit with his blade).

Superman doesn't need to breath, it just depends on if thanos crushes the neck or not.

Superman doesn't need to breathe, plus even zod landed headfirst from orbit and got right back up. I don't think thanos is doing anything to his neck

@rajjar: When was teserract said to have an output of 2 terajoules? It doesn't matter in its ability to resist getting crushed but im curious anyway.

Kal-El flew through the World Engine head first while weakened, his neck will be fine. He does not need to breathe either so choking him will not do much besides hurt his throat.

@TheGrat1: Who said that Superman doesn't have to breath?

Uhhh......the films. He was submerged in water for an extended period of time with no discomfort. He has also gone into space several times with no ill effects.

People don't realize how durable Loki really is.

And snapped this guy's neck with ease, without even putting up any effort. Thanos also ripped off Ironman's helmet in a half second and ripped off the mind stone from Vision's vibranium skull.

He snaps Supes neck if he is serious.

All those combined still miss Superman's level of durability by multiple orders of magnitude. Dude survived a close range 300-1125 kt nuclear detonation and his bones were not turned to powder by the blast. Thanos can't snap his neck, not even close.

Agents of Shield it did release an 2 TJ output IIRC. And why wouldn't it matter? I'd imagine there'd be decent pressure considering the amount of energy contained inside. It's more free-flowing than the Power's stone's orb container.

Not an arg for Thanos, but a nuke that far above the Starfish nuke must have been severely reduced in blast and thermal radiation output relative to the Starfish one, and the Starfish nuke already has severely reduced output to begin with. Values must be pretty close to 0, considering how far the targets moved.

And his skin was disintegrating into fine particulate matter, but that's the ionizing radiation - gamma rays I bet. Though I have no knowledge on what happens to the neutron gamma ratio in a space nuke explosion. I know there's massively more radiation and therefore radiative heating IIRC, but under normal atmosphere, gamma should be dispersed and smallest at epicentre. Though I have no clue what happens to the distribution in space.

Survived?

He was done for after a single nuke missile, the sunlight on the space saved him, not his own durability.
