So tonight was Tyler Hoechlin's debut as superman on CW's "Supergirl", he showed some pretty impressive feats in his debut episode on the small screen, who takes it?

(First time posting and relatively new to the vine, if I posted wrong or violated a rule, please let me know)

CW Superman is featless...

Should have seen this coming. You're new. I assume you've seen both takes on the character. Which one do you think is on the wrong side of the spite here?

@Pokeysteve: I wouldn't think either is on the wrong side of spite, while cw superman is still in his infancy (feat-wise) he has shown decent speed as he was able to catch a falling space shuttle, now i cant necessarily calculate the speed to be able to determine how fast they were going, but it safe to say he's not a slug, and used a freeze breath to stop the fire from spreading on the space shuttle which DCEU superman has yet to use. He shrugs bullets with ease, but that's nothing new when it comes to superman, and was able to stop a full size sky-scraper from falling while Kara, repaired it which I would say it some-what comparable to DCEU's supe's feat of pulling the battleship through the ice in Batman vs superman. As of now I would give it to DCEU's superman because he shown greater durability (Surviving a nuke), better striking feats and speed. But I must say, I really felt Tyler captured who Clark is, he really feels like the traditional "superman". Hopefully he becomes a prominent character in supergirl so we see more of what he can do.

Highlighted part is all I agree with. CW Superman can't compare to Cavil. For now at least. He'll get more screen time throughout the season. I was skeptical of the pictures when they were first released but I'm really liking his portrayal so far.

Comparing Cavill's physique with anyone elses is not the brightest idea.

Add CW Supergirl and I'd still back MoS

Comparing theses two is like a Professional football team vs a highschool team lol.

@dsb: They can but that doesn't mean they have to. Cavill was also in way better shape than Bale was. Chris Reeve didn't look like a bodybuilder and no one ever rags on him.

Probably a little closer now. CW Clark able to withstand blasts from Metallo's Kryptonite gem beam, hold up an entire Skyscraper, send Metallo flying out of the city with a punch, and was holding his own in spite of being weakened. A smaller amount of Kryptonite put DCEU Superman on his ass and made him susceptible to a beating from Batman, and he was even rendered unconscious when he retrieved the spear.

DCEU stomps. So far CW Supes has fought on little more than Street level scale.

CW Supes is faster, but striking and durability land firmly in DCEU Superman's ballpark.

@thekinfing: I don't have exact calculations, and I can't find the video but in last night's ep, he zipped around a cloud of smoke above a burning building to put it out similar to how Barry ran around The Rival's Cyclones to put them out.

If that makes any sort of sense...

@peterparkerjr: That wasn't even a good feat... Cavil's Superman could do the exact same thing if needed, only instead of blowing out the fire, he'd just lift up the building.

CW Supes. He's been at this for 7 years or so now and probably knows how to use his powers better.

DCEU Supes has better strength feats..plus is just better overall so he wins after an interesting fight.

Not to mention his world engine feat..

DCEU wrecks. CW Sup's got pwned by a newbie Kara while bloodlusted. DCEU Superman gets punched through buildings without being phased and regenerates from nukes. Cavill wins.

CW Superman is basically Yamcha at this point.

Given the Supergirl show hasn't done justice to the full scope & magnitude of Supes and Kara's powers in the first place, I'm not sure this is a good idea.

I agree however that DCEU Supes would lay the smackdown b/c he's a more savage H2H fighter than his CW counterpart.

I mean, it really depends on how good DCEU supes would be against Kara, as she defeated a bloodlusted supes not too long ago.

CW Superman doesn't have many feats at all but DCEU Superman has better feats so I vote him.

Superman and this isn't even close.

DCEU Superman stomps, he has every advantage.

CW Superman does to DCEU Superman what he did to Zod. The strength gap is that big.

I somehow get the feeling that this is completely unsubstantiated.
