I can see him losing to Iron Man, though Hulk definitely stops him and everyone above that stomps him.

Potentially stops at Iron Man/Hulk. Definitely stops at Thor and above

Could see him stoping before 7 but he has no chance of passing Hulk.

Stops at 6. He can't put down Iron Man who survived a meteor thrown on him at extreme speed, a power stone blast and a power stone punch in the gut.

Could stop at 4 as well due to Loki's durability & if has his scepter which contains an infinity stone

Iron Man could give him a hell of a fight but not sure if he could end it.

Hard stops at Hulk in most cases imo.

Hard stop at hulk , any fight from above is a stomp against him

Could stop at 8, definitely 9.

Stop at 5. He can't tank dozens of missiles blow up in his face.

Clears.He beat Aquabro and Mera UNDERWATER. He was beating WW, who was holding her own against Doomsday and Aquaman at the same time. The same sword who choped off a Doomsday's arm couldn't even scratch Steppenwolf's armor. Also he could resist a beaten by Superman and that's above the blunt durability of anyone here.

And, moreover, he was more skilled than WW what directly means he is the most skilled here.

Stop at 6 if it's IW Iron Man, he is beating current Hulk.

Definitely stops at Thor.

This. Loki here has the Mind Gem.

Iron Man could also give him lots of troubles.

Mind Gem. Powerful blast, and the possibility to get your ennemy on your side. Coupled w. Loki's illusions, IMO Steppenwolf could be stopped there.

Captain America - Stomps

Black Panther - 9.99999/10for Steppy unless Panther knocks him down with a punch and claws him

Spider-Man - could stop here by web incap.

Loki - Could stop here as well

War Machine - stops here if his skin is not bulletproof

Iron Man - same as WM, but has a far better chance of taking Wolf due to increased physicals and versatility

Hulk - hard stops here. Wolf can't put him down and eventually gets outmuscled and clobbered

Thor - Steppenwolf gets godstomped at range or up close

Thanos - Thanos nodiffs. Wolf can't even scratch him

Captain Marvel - CM bfrs or necksnaps

Could stop anywhere from Rhodey to Hulk, he's never beating Thor in a million years.

Loses at Thor or Hulk

Stop at 1 Vibranium shield >>> superman punch.

Loki TPs him. Probably beats Rhodey, stops hard at 6 and above. Other MCU characters who beat him include Worthy Cap, Wanda, Strange, etc.

Could stop at 7. Hard stops at 8.

Stops at Hulk for sure.

Stops at Thanos.

Don't see how he loses to Hulk, his Axe is more than capable of piercing Hulk and putting him down, and Steppenwolf was shrugging off hits from Superman and Wonder Woman's Bracelet Clashes, he can definitely take a few hits, though given his vastly superior skill I doubt he'll get hit much.

As for Thor it's a close fight, Thor is more skilled if we scale his unarmed feats to Stormbreaker, but the thing is Stormbreaker is quite a large and clunky weapon which means he moves a lot slower, and Steppenwolf keeping up with Diana (who is stated to be the most skilled DCEU character, so more skilled than Batman) should put him on the same tier factoring in Stormbreaker. Thor's lightning isn't going to do much considering Steppenwolf tanked Zeus' more concentrated and more powerful lightning. I do think Steppenwolf can pierce Thor and the opposite so it'll all come down to skill.

Clears 1-3. Might struggle at 4. Probably beats 5. Probably loses at 6. Hard stops at 7-10.

@subline: shrugging off hits from Superman is a bit of an exaggeration. First shot from supes gave him a bloody mouth. He can take shots from him but they hurt him.

@barelyaverage17: It's not an exaggeration, sure he may have been hurt doesn't mean he didn't shrug them off. Because he took them and repeatedly got back up and kept fighting regardless.

Such as when Superman dodges his punch and sends him flying downwards with a punch, but then under a second later he stops Aquaman's Trident while Arthur was trying to stab him.

Stops at 5-7.

Stops at 8, he beats Hulk quite comfortably since it's standard gear....

@byondeon: I'm curious as to why people think IM>Hulk, do you think Iron Man could overpower/match Thor with one hand or replicate some of Hulk's other best feats?

Hulkbuster armor already overpowered Hulk. Other than that, IM just have better feats. Heck, IM have better durability feats than CM.

Iron Man's << CM. She no sold a bloodlusted Thanos's headbutt, he got ragdolled and dented. That power stone hit on Tony was likely just Thanos toying with him if we want to stay consistent

Thanos was not toying with the Avengers, based on his dialouge and the actual fight scene. That power stone hit was the best durability aside from Thor that we have seen in the MCU so far of any hero that have not been on Surtur level.

@byondeon: If he wasn't then that whole scene makes Thanos a street tier. He fails to kill Spider-Man with a chokeslam and a clothesline. He fails to kill Drax with a kick. He fails to kill Mantis with a throw. He fails to kill Doctor Strange by throwing Spider-Man at him. We both know Thanos can throw things quite hard considering he stunned Thor just by ragdolling him. This all contradicts scenes where he easily hurts high tiers like the Hulk and Thor with just a few blows. The only explanation is that Thanos was holding back, hence why he doesn't kill Strange when he has him in a chokehold.

Thanos had a bigger wind up against Captain Marvel then IM with the power stone and that still took out half his armor
