DCEU Shazam vs DCEU Superman

Shazam is morals off and serious. Justice League scenario - Clark finishes destroying everyone like in the movie and instead of the big guns being Lois, its actually Shazam. THEY FIGHT. But who wins?

Clark, comfortably too. Even with Billy being morals off and serious he’s still too green, and Clark just has better and more on-screen feats.

Superman, assuming Sivana's remark about magic being the only thing that can harm them is only hyperbole. Billy needs more time/experience, but he has potential.

Superman is better in every way. At best you can argue Billy might be his equal in speed with scaling but even than maybe not, since superman statued wonder woman whereas Darla didn't really statue anyone with super speed.

Clark stomps. I wish people would stop using Billy or his family in these kind of threads, by feats they aren't impressive at all save for Darla but that only with speed. They certainly can beat street levelers but compared to the rest of the high or even mid tier of Live action comics book characters they just aren't impressive.

@arqe: I don't recall anyone in the shazam family showing super speed other than Billy and Darla.

There are lots of people who is "magic" in DCEU and they all lost to magic only. Nothing else.

Only Diablo in human form died to a man-made weapon that created to kill Incubus. We don't know if Incubus had his heart so he didn't die, he just lost his body.

So this makes Sivana's claim actually true.

@jashro44: They all have same powerset but their initial powers comes from their personality because of their lack of experience.

But they didn't say that in the movie yet so i'm not saying we got feats. But that doesn't change the fact Darla runs at same or similar speed of Superman and Flash. Since she run into saving the person (cant remember if it was old crazy drunk santa or someone else) but she run between person and sin, she took the person look at the sin's face and ran away while everything was frozen.

@arqe: Because Billy could then solo in any situation not involving magic. Superman would bounce right off him. Now maybe Sivana meant only magic could kill them, which is still pretty OP, but a little more reasonable. If this is the case, Superman would probably win.

I'm on board with this, Shazam is really inexperienced and he is not winning against Superman. He potentially can but not right now.

But DCEU had a solid track record of only Magic can destroy Magic. So that statement is rock solid so far. But again, winning doesn't mean by just killing, that would be pointless and i'm saying that for years.

There are characters who cannot die yet can be defeated. Superman can't kill Shazam but he can defeat him.

@arqe: I agree with most of this, however, I personally think it's a little to early to say that he can't be killed by non-magical means. It's definitely possible, I just think it's a little early to assume that based off of one statement.

@kal-elol:I understand what you are saying but it is not an assumption at this point. It would be an assumption if Shazam was the first movie which had magic in it. But it is not. Magic only died / beaten by Magic so far. So that statement is still holds the truth. If Superman comes and beats the shit out of Black Adam and destroys him then we can say, "oh Sivana was wrong" but for now, what he said is true.

Yea, that's pretty much what I'm saying lol. I'm basically the other side of the coin of the "lets wait and see" argument since Billy ONLY has showings against magical opponents. Another showing/confirmation will settle this argument, for sure.

Superman easily. Tho Shazam hasn't reached his potential. Once he has it should probably be a more even fight.

@arqe: Well in that case that point makes no sense at all and doesn't hold up and I'm not sure what solid track record you're speaking of. There's nothing to suggest Shazam can't be hurt by non magic means save for a statement that when you break it down is probably misinformed.

And btw, the quote is not "Only magic can hurt us," it's "Only magic can draw blood from us." Which is supported on screen.

Superman's punches will definitely hurt Shazam, they just won't draw blood. Call it NLF if you want, but I don't think it's far fetched when looking at the actual quote.

I'm positive this only applied before Kryptonians came to Earth. The New Gods are much more powerful than Shazam and that didn't stop Superman.
