@johndeyvido: How is it an NLF argument? I never said the trident pierces anything. That would be a strawman and possibly an implication Thor's armor is impenetrable, which hasn't been stated or shown.
Loki's non-exceptional dagger stabbed Thor through the armor. Aquaman's weaker trident stabbed Steppenwolf when Wonder Woman's sword failed (it was a foot strike in the tunnel under the harbor). It also casually tore stone and tossed lava unharmed. The king's trident tore through Atlantean steel like butter and broke Orm's trident.
Loki's dagger is asgardian and not equal to Arthur's trident. His new trident doesn't have any feats of piercing aside breaking Orm's trident (which speaks to durability and not piercing) and controlling ocean life. He was only able to stab SW after he was trashed by Supes and notably weaker.
King's trident > Atlan's trident (Orm's) > Atlanna's trident (Aquaman's first) beats Loki's dagger by feats. Thor's armor isn't full coverage either. Aquaman can stab Thor.
Orm had skill accolades that places Aquaman above Wonder Woman by feats even though she should logically be more skilled. Thor has the potential for skill but fights like a brawler.
Thor has shown feats rather than Orm's statements . Orm has only fought Arthur. Thor went through shield agents while human and beat 3 Asgardians without getting tagged even though he was unarmed and the Asgardians were armed and had been ordered to stop him at all cost.
Aquaman is faster because he showed bullet timing on the sub even if it was brief and a higher feat for him. He demonstrated speed attacking Supes with a FTE rush (although Supes hopelessly outmatched his speed), dodging optic blasts, and scaling off WW and Steppenwolf.
Thor has done similar by blocking blasts for two chitauris at close range and blocking blasts from Loki's scepter. During the first avenger movie he was a blur when he attacked the Hulk and lastly Arthur was getting tagged by BM on the sub. Thor can also bullrush pple.
For reference, Steppenwolf caught a rocket launched by Batman casually and called it primative. He also caught an amazon arrow without calling it primitive, which doesn't sound impressive until we remember an amazon shooting an arrow from Themyscira to Greece before the flame burned out to light the signsl. Aquaman's trident attack actually hit Steppenwolf when the rocket and arrow were caught, making it faster.
Loki caught an arrow fired at him by Hawkeye without even looking and abomination caught an RPG with his back turned and hulk was faster, while Thor is faster than the Hulk .
Additionally, the trident twirl defense was an obvious example superhuman speed.
Thor can do the same with his hammer and can even do that faster than Aquaman.
I don't think it's a large gap but I do believe Aquaman edges Thor out in skill and speed. He loses in striking power, strength, and durability. He doesn't have a solid answer to the flight and ranged advantages Thor has.
The only edge Aquaman has is his swimming edge which is not relevant to this fight. He is not faster than Thor or more skilled.
